This is quite something. I'me not a fan of the BBC overall, but Sally Nugent's handling of each individual's story is top notch, as is the respect shown by the sufferers to each other.
What this pandemic has taught the people and the people now need to teach the government is that the government is the sole creator of the £ and the government can spend as much money as it wants to put to the research and cure for MND. The Pounds are always there, it’s the Priorities that must follow next. Elect politicians that know that they can spend spend spend the Pounds into existence to benefit ALL in society!! #ABCsofMMT

Im a big Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos fan, what Sir Kev has done is absolutely amazing but its disappointing it will probably not get the same recognition if some over paid football player had done it.

I'm lost for words on how to describe this (and those who know me, know that doesn't happen ever!) My heart goes out to Rob, Dodi, Stephen and all the other sportsmen fighting this debilitating disease who are willing to lay bare their lives and suffering to raise awareness. That is a strength I am not sure I could have in the same situation. Now, how to describe Sir Kev , he is a true superhero! Strength, compassion, drive, humility, care, friendship, leadership, commitment, dedication just a few of the hundreds of words I could apply to him. The sayings put your money where you mouth is and actions speak louder than words are very apt. This started personally for him, in support of Rob and his family but has snowballed into something that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE in this country is aware of and getting behind. Keep on fighting! One day the funding for finding a cure will match the funding for other cureable diseases In the words of the great Stephen Hawking (MND/ALS sufferer) - It matters if you just don't give up!
