    Update: I've changed my thinking on the character playing the lute in the Rare Triumph's deck.. I at first thought of him as a Lover card but now think of him as an alternate to the Fool. I think the beauty of this deck is that you can make your own association because there is no explanation given.

    I love the Playing Marseille! I recently acquired it and I find the line work so graceful and dynamic. I also love the varying skin tones. Thanks for the comparison.

    i think the merchant can make sense because of the association of the third arcanum with venus which is also the planet of trade and commerce; just a thought.
