Your son has a great life ahead of him..driving his dads cars :) when he comes home from a night out and says 'Dad I crashed the Ferrari', you will be tested and say 'no problem son I can fix it'.
I love that you are teaching your son a skill that he can use for the rest of his life.Also you get to spend quality time with the little guy.. I plan on doing the same thing with my son and when the car is finished I will give it to him

For that black ferrari... Ferrari need to add some options to cars that nothing going to open unless the car is off or completely stop.. Like the fuel cap never open unless the car off.
I bought a flood car that was practically awesome but a few months into owing it, the wheel bearings started to squeak and make grinding noises and then the same with suspension. The cars that have been in water (depends what kind of water) are bound to have issues even though the engine has been saved through the process show here. Rust is just bad. My 2 cents..

Spray connectors with coconut electro motive cleaner, blow with air, use silicone dielectric grease. They won't corrode!!

There is enough metals in water to sometimes short out a board. Clean the old board and test it when you get it running.
