Thank you so much for this series on Fabric. Honestly, it's much better that the 4 day Microsoft workshop I attended. The new storage mode is a good idea however if it can't be used in Desktop where calculated tables and columns are created then we are stuck. also not that power bi in the cloud does not allow you to create measure instead you will have to created them as part of semantic model. I might be wrong guys. please, correct me if I am.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback! You're absolutely right about the limitations of the new mode. While there are workarounds like using Tabular Editor, we agree that Power BI in the cloud isn't as robust as Desktop yet. I'm sure this will improve in the future though.
This is a greate example. Thank you for your effort on creating the excellent content. I spent a lot of time to figuring out how to use directlake mode in warehouse, not using lakehouse, but I couldn't find any example of it. Is is possible to use directlake mode in fabric warehouse?
Thanks for your comment. At the time of the recording, it was not possible to use Direct Lake in Warehouse. However, MSFT has fixed that now and you can use Direct Lake in Warehouse.
excellent video 👍👍
Thank you 👍
every model or dataset created in Azure Fabric will be in the direct lake mode?
Thank You🙏
Welcome! Glad you liked the video.
