I come from working class roots, state schooled, and am professional engineer today. It was a fight the whole way. However, I don't have a problem with private education / public schools in principle the same way I don't have a problem with private healthcare or dental. If you can afford to pay then at least in theory you leave more public money for those who can't. I have considered sending my children to one. I do agree with what he said on testing. Private schools I have looked at have said 'oh we choose not to do year 6 SATs' - state schools can't do that. In an ideal world education would be suited the needs of the pupil, imparting core real life skills and then tailored to engage and challenge the Individual based on their aptitude. I also absolutely have a problem with the in-club culture where people, privately educated or otherwise, become politicians with no real life experience or leadership acumen and are solely there for self gain. In my view the ultimate measure of integrity is when you believe something is the right course of action even when you would be personally disadvantaged or worse off by it.

@@NoDissasemble Thousands of children will die today due to lack of food, we have more food than we can eat. Others will die because they cannot access medicines that we produce, but they cannot afford. The right course of action is to share everything you have with them to at least try and save 1 life. Taking a domestic example, the life chances of a child from a working class background at a state school is significantly worse off than one at a fee paying school. Their healthcare outcomes and life expectancy will be significantly reduced as a result. They may be the next Einstein or have the ability to cure cancer, but we won’t find that out because the opportunities will go to rich parents children who may find being an influencer more satisfying than a career in medicine. During Covid we did not think that saving lives or extending the life of any human was subjective, we collectively thought it was the right thing to do and made sacrifices to achieve this. But apart from this, by your test I seriously lack integrity because I am not giving my money away, nor am I willing to be personally disadvantaged in any significant way. I want food. I want medicine. I want my children to do well. I want money. And I want more of all of these things than 99% of people in the world has. I doubt that anyone sitting in front of UA-cam reading these comments is much different, but I would love to hear some real examples of someone being personally disadvantaged and taking that course of action and therefore by your test, having integrity, so I could consider if I am willing to do that.

The Economy is going to get a hell of a lot better in the next 2 years and that will lose Labour some ground to the government. Please don't ask Jeremy to put the Tories back in power.
In any communist country
Not before we make sure the tries can never be in power again
Vote Green Party! 🇬🇧... I'm looking forward to Zionist Labour, its newspaper backers and BBC reporting accusations of Greens being antisemitic and Communists! 🤣...
I don't think the BBC can afford to look any more ridiculous... (I know Kier Starmer and Zionist Labour will lie all day long, no matter how ridiculous they look...)
Need another political party with Jeremy Corbyn in it and other real people. The labour party front bench and with Keir Starmer are not aligned with same values
The rare phenomenon in Parliament, an honest man with integrity and a socialist
Easy to be a socialist when you and your wife are multi-millionaires. 😉
@@ffotograffydd He’s not short of a Bob or two being an MP but the amount he claims in expense is chicken feed. No way is he a multi millionaire whereas Sunek is one.
@@richardbanker3910 His house alone is worth over £1 million. Oh and his wife, former banker, Laura Alvarez has an approximate net worth of over $500 million! They might not be as wealthy as Sunak and his wife, but they’re definitely multi-millionaires!
Snapper, you obviously cribbed some rubbish from the Sun which if true, would be trumpeted across the media . That means it’s rubbish. I checked out Wikipedia and she’s described as a former human rights lawyer in Mexico and now has a fair trade coffee business. You’ve been had for a mug.
He used the S word. ✊
Wow I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Jeremy Corbyn for once. Private school is not old skool
Jeremy went to Private School himself
@@jonsouth1545 then he went on to teach those in some of the poorest places in the old empire...
what a lovely gent.
BBC.....Bring Back Corbyn
Another lefty
There's not a racist/anti-Semitic bone in this man's body. He's one of the few that does the job to make a difference.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the Labour Party had a principled honest leader like Jeremy Corbin 🤔
It did and the public rejected him overwhelmingly.
@@craigsimons817 no the public overwhelmingly voted for a liar and a charlatan who was allowed to go unchallenged thanks to an extreme right wing media owned by billionaire backers of the Tories.
@@craigsimons817 That's because the public in Britain are stupid. Most of the public believed the smears, lies and propaganda against him by the evil British media and politicians. What does that say about the British public that they believe propaganda from the right wing media.
@@craigsimons817 Yes after being brainwashed by establishment propaganda
@@craigsimons817 rejected him twice.
Well said Jeremy .. The average politician is unaware of work and human needs that form a social structure for all.
Mr Corbyn is a real politician .
Quite right Jeremy.
Well said JC. PR would rid most private school alumni from Westminster because they could not or would not share anything especially power. Everyone one else (i.e. not Tory) seem to realise this with the exception of the Labour Party leadership.
Including him? Or he is just against private education now he’s retiring?
Time to dump FPTP
Except Corbyn never supported PR, if that had been one of his policies he’d likely have won in 2019.
@@ffotograffydd exactly
The best PM we never had !
The establishment had it in for him from the start , he connected with the working class too well in their eyes , I'm for Jeremy .
Almost all schools are state and all of them have equal financial support from the government. It means there are no privileged schools in Finland.
Decency has no place in politics.....what a sad reflection on humanity.
A great man.
I don't understand how this bloke didn't get elected
because the British people are more interested in their own hubris and petty grudges than in rational thought
I do - a totally corrupted media inc the beeb.
He wanted to tax the rich and close tax loopholes, so the media savaged him, especially when he nearly got in on that first general election, they really ramped up the demonising then. Plus power hungry elements from the right within the Labour party didn't help as the dud their best to sabotage him.
because our media is owned by billionaires but parades around as working class
Because he was a genuine threat to the establishment, so they smeared him in anyway they could, and the gov controlled media pushed their agenda and everyone bought it.
Love you Jeza!
Oh Jeremy Corbyn..oh Jeremy Corbyn 🎶
Step aside, backstabbing Starmer, and let the gaffer back in
Its sickening what Starmer has done to J.C
Jeremy Corbyn brought his problems upon himself. If he made a full apology for failing to stamp out anti-Semitism in the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer would not have sacked him.
There are certainly too many of them at the top. Career politicians are another issue that needs sorting.
Oh Jeremy Corbyn, Oh Jeremy Corbyn, Oh Jeremy Corbyn..
Jeremy if only the thick aspects of the working class had not voted against him he would be our Prime Minister now with deputy John Mcdonnell how different things could have been respect and love to you Jeremy❤
Always for the people !!!
He was on the way to being a new Tony Benn, and obviously that couldn't be permitted, especially within Labour.
The way Corbyn has been vilified is disgusting and undeserved
The Tory Party and right-wing press and media saw him as easy meat.
I’m with Jeremy 100%
@politicsjoe Nice to meet you today and thanks again for the photo (despite the initial clash). Keep up the great work!
Fkn love this man.
I so wish the election in 2019 had gone differently. We needed this man, a missed opportunity for everyone. A man with no price terrifies the establishment xxxxxx
Me too, they don't live in the real world and have nothing but contempt for ordinary people despite whatever niceties and verbal gymnastics.
He's not my MP but he represents me. If you KWIM. Said it once ill say it again. Corbyn is ahead of his time.
So are we Jeremy.
Corbyn is Made of steel!
The PM we should have
A man of the most extraordinary integrity & care for ordinary people, the workers, the underprivileged. I'm proud to be called a Corbynista.
Oh and how about the private school educated traitors & staff IN THE LIEBOUR PARTY who stabbed him in the back, indeed stabbed us ALL in the back?
This man remains the best recruiting sergeant us Tories have
The leader of the opposition
Big up to the North London massive 👍👏
Thanks for posting.
This is the man we need in power
I am also sick of them. There was an opportunity with this man and unfortunately we blew it. Believing false media stories and this current abhorent government. Hell! His own party stitched him up!
I love him and you so much
The greatest PM that never was.
What a terrible waste and a great loss to society.
I admire this man enormously!
Only a short while back Lizzy Dripping was banging on about her comprehensive education in a Leeds school, so we can all see how that one worked out when she became PM 🤣🤣🤣
Well said Jezza. Our true PM
hes right,i have lived frugally as a musician for years, there are far more obstacles for musicians from the lower classes,no matter how talented they are, financially and otherwise, than musicians from better off families, and i know a few musicians from upper class backgrounds as friends, and they agree with me,its just the way it is,but perhaps not the way it should be
Love you Jezza ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️♥️💯💯❤️❤️❤️
Hope he's having a go at his assassin Starmer who is the biggest covert snob in Parliament
How do you compare when you apply your ultimate measure of integrity to yourself?
@@Philosoph-ali it's all subjective so who knows. I would say I do as well as anyone reasonable person might. But I haven't faced an opportunity to make a billion quid by screwing over a load of people or anything like that though so perhaps ask me again when I'm at the end of the road. I may have a different outlook then
@@NoDissasemble Thousands of children will die today due to lack of food, we have more food than we can eat.
Love this man
We are all sick of all politicians who spout off about stuff they have no idea about! They should all be the best of the best within their specialist field. Selling your own home doesn’t make you a property expert!
He should have run our country, we would have been happier and financially much better than what are now, and immigration would have been corrected and all the problems would have been investigated. .
We lost out on an incredible human being and a worthy leader who actually represents everyone not just the rich or the middle class, Corbyn is for the people. So if he runs an independent we should support him.
Open borders
how would bankrupting the country buying all the energy companies assets to nationalise them make us better off? that one pledge would cost us trillions over a parliament term. i agree it's a good idea, but not realistic.
People aged 18-35 have had their future dismantled by this government.
Oh dear I thought the dinosaurs went millions of years ago........
Those private schooled politicians know what we want though - the occasional bone thrown to keep us happy....good times are just around the corner - usual mantra.
Well said Jeremy !!!!!
Such a tragedy this guy was pushed out as leader. It’s now back to New New Labour which will be hard to distinguish from the Tories. The middle class “socialists” can proudly say they voted Labour safely knowing they got a student of Thatcher and Blair into power so they won’t really have to change anything. And nothing will change for the lower classes and those real Labour was set up to help
He wasn’t pushed out of the leadership. He stood down because he led the party to an appalling election result. Boris’ majority? Thanks Jezza.
I am just kinda sick of politicians.
