Makes me want to curl up and make something. Your tutorials are so calming and soothing that all I do is listen to you while I go about my house work.
Jada, I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE watching your videos. Your very easy to follow along with. You explain things so well. You are just as excited about the art of crochet as I am and I love your cheeriness. I couldn’t imagine anyone that if they are sad and start your videos being sad after watching them. You put a smile on my face because your enthusiasm and good heartedness is contagious. Thank you
I was skeptical about being able to crochet a snow flake butt you made it very simple...you saved the day. I love your happy disposition!!!

Your tutorials are the best to watch and the easiest to learn from. I've been making granny squares all night and loving how they are turning out. Now to learn to make snowflakes. Thanks so much!
Charlene Clauser Thank you so much Charlene!! Say! You could make a granny square blanket in blues and purples and applique snowflakes all over it and call it your "Wintry Night" blanket! How gorgeous would THAT be!!!
I've been watching your tutorials for a few years and I always come back to them this time a year for a refresher! Just wanted to show love and appreciation! Thank you! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Hi Kat, thank you so much :)

Snow flake beautiful orament enjoyed watching the video having trouble the last part
My plan is to make many snowflakes today!! I finally go back to work full-time tomorrow after 2 months off for surgery so want to get my fill of hooking in!! Happy Saturday!
+Melanie Thomas * snow flakes accumulating all over the desk * nothing like the impending 'back to work' deadline to inspire a full day of crochet!
Perfect for my scarf and hat! Thanks Jayda.
I finally got it. I don't know what I was doing wrong before but I just tried it again and made a snowflake with no problem. Thank you for your tutorials I've learned so much in such a short period of time.
Hi Ashley! Glad to hear it :) Thank you so much for watching!
I loved this I hope you don't mind I modified it very slightly to make a plush toy but the pattern itself was not changed for how to make it just some extra steps where added
Thank you for watching 😊
Very pretty..made flat ones like you made and then
I made one in 3D...
First row normally as you showed
2nd row normally as you did but working in front loops only
Then turned and repeated the 2nd row in back loops only joining the two parts with a slip st at the picots and ss at the single crochet
I used white yarn with glitter
Love from India..Jayda

Your video is very good. Several years ago (before UA-cam) I tried to crochet snowflakes and it was a disaster. I'm ready to tackle them again. Thank you!!

+Crochet1220 Thank you so much and I really appreciate you sharing our channel :) I love your idea of the snow flake garland! I am really into garlands lately * giggle * and you've just given me an idea for what to hang over my entrance mirror this winter :)
Hi Jayda, I love snowflakes, thank you.
They're so pretty :)
Hi Jayda! I just love watching your videos, you're such a hoot (that's a good thing). You have such a joyful and bouncy personality, I love it♥♥♥
Now down to business, I'm not trying to be critical of how you do your crocheting, you do great work. You know how you say you have to play with the snowflake when your finished with it, to look the way you want it??? I've come up with a solution to that problem. I will start from the beginning of working the snowflake....
Make your magic circle...crochet your 12 SC, slip stitch into your first chain. SC in the same stitch that you made you slip stitch, then chain 1. 1 DC in that same stitch. Now notice the 2 loops (at the top if the DC) that your working yarn is going threw, those 2 loops are where you want to go threw when you are done making the chains for your picot (slip stitches for all the loops of your picot), go threw these 2 loops every time you make a part of your picot. Also, don't forget to slip stitch at the end of each part of your picot. You will find that you finished picot will lay flatter. I also made my picots a little bigger than you do. At the beginning I chained 4, slip stitched, chained 5, slip stitched, then chained 4, slip stitched. Then DC in the same stitch you have been working in. Then I slip stitched into the next chain (instead of the SC). Following that I started my next SC in the next stitch with a chain 1.....(this is the beginning of your next section....
I hope you find this helpful♥♥♥
Hi Lisa, experimenting is half the fun in crochet :) Thank you for sharing!
Ive been looking for a snow flake
Hi Jayda! I've been making your snowflakes and adding them to scarves or giving them as gifts! I just made a small one so I can put it on a minty yarn headband with ties from your other tutorial. 😊❄️
Hi Kelli! A minty yarn headband with a snowflake sounds like 10 kinds of gorgeous! (those are two of my favourite things!)
I enjoyed your video. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching 😊

Thank you for watching!
I have used 2 different yarns together make beautiful different snowflake

Another brilliant tutorial, thank you! Is it bad that I want to make a pile of these but have a random yellow snowflake amongst them as a giggle? 🧶❄😹

Thank you so much for the Snowflake tutorial....it's awesome! Please tell me the brand and colour of yarn you used to make the "Frozen Scarf". Thank you.
+losvegas25 I used 2 different yarns held together :) They were both acrylic - I think there's a little more information on it in my "30 Minute Scarf" tutorial :)
such a great teacher! OMG!!!!!!!! :)))))))
Thank you Ana :)
The yarn with the sequins is Patons Lace Sequins Crystal
Lovely quick project! That was a triple picot on ends right?
Elle Lee Yes! That is a triple picot on the end of each Snowflake arm. They all share a common third chain for the final slip stitch :)
Your video tutorials brighten even the dreary cold day Jayda InStitches 👍😀👍🌈
Thank You : )
Is it possible to make it smaller using a size 3mm hook?
Hi Tiffany, yes! If you use a lighter weight yarn and a smaller hook, it will come out much smaller :)
@@JaydaInStitches have i told you you are my favorite to watch? You respond to your viewers where a lot of people don't! Thank you!
Hi! I love your Videos!
Do you have a video of a snowflake granny square?
Elisa Gullia Hi Elisa! No, but that's a nifty idea! Thank you for watching (and the suggestion!)
I like the snowflake pattern. ..how would you turn it into a square
Hi Rebecca, that would be pretty :) Thank you for the suggestion!
Jayda do you have a pattern for a table cloth like the Festive Table Runner?
Hi Doris, we haven't made a table cloth, but you can use the Festive Table Runner pattern (there are notes on the pattern in the description box of that video while will allow you to change up the width and length) to make a cloth that fits the table you have in mind :)
I made a snowman blanket thinking of crocheting snowflake squares if I can do it lol :)
Beautiful idea!
@@JaydaInStitches I love crocheting I always try some of your ideas sometimes I can’t stop 🛑 I use up so much yarn love it learning new patterns your fabulous ❤️
Oh, and do you have a tutorial on making a Celtic knot square? My daughter in law has asked and asked but I'm completely dyslexic when it comes to reading a pattern. If I don't see it done I can't seem to learn.
Charlene Clauser Hi again Charlene! Hmmm, I think I know of what you speak...I've seen plenty of variations on squares that resemble Celtic knots. I'll have to do a little research!
Cool. When I finish my granny squares Afghan I'll send you a pic! :)
I was wondering about baby bibs thank you
+Susan Grant Hi Susan, another neat suggestion, thank you!
Your welcome thank you fun fun
Is there a way to expand this pattern if i want to use thread instead of yarn?
Hi Wanda, you can use thread and a steel hook for this and it makes a nice tiny snowflake. This is a finite pattern however, so there isn't any easy expansion.
Crochet ponytail hat
Hi! We did one :) Check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/i3mZ2CXRR9Q/v-deo.html
Hi Jayda, I have a yarn problem,
What, like too much of it? LOL Or is it tangled? :)
Yes, I like it too much. and keep buying more and more and more and more.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and when I leave the store, I think did I buy enough?
e peaches I don't think you can ever have too much yarn LOL I often buy the same ball again before I've used up the one I already have....*silly* !!
