The Tacoma is a 2010 TRD Sport, manual transmission, short box. And we are using the solid axles from a Ford Super Duty, Dana 60 front, Sterling 10.5 rear.

I know people shit on Raptor lights on Toyotas but I think they look really good!
Build is looking sick! I’m with you on the grill lights. Ever since the Raptor had them, everyone had to. It’s a non-functional boutique current waster.
Id put a little caulk or something where you screwed into the fuse box just to limit water leaking down in there
Butyl tape maybe?
Such a cute shop kitty!!!❤❤
Come on MCNope, deliver!
Raptor lights are a Ford thing IMO and we don’t need to copy Ford. Great video. I think I’ll be getting the auxbeam after seeing this video.
Shop lion for the win
Great build ,lights look good, happy Easter
Thank you for answering my driveshaft question can’t wait to see this thing in action
You should use rivnuts for the fuse mount on the firewall for a cleaner and easier install/look. The fuse thing is called an “add a fuse”, and also I have this kit. I ended up putting a 2 prong switch on the ACC wire so when the truck is off I can still keep my rock lights on at camp since the KC rock lights draw so little power. May be a good thing for you too if that’s a something you plan on doing in the future!
I vote no to the raptor lights, like you mentioned every other taco or 4Runner has them. Just leave on semi trucks.
Definitely need to Add this to my List... I did my Own Relais Box and even though it did take Hours to make, I am still not happy with the Looks
Will probably make wiring on my 3.Slow 4Runner so much prettier and easier
How about a rivnut for the fuse block mount? Moving fast dude!
Nice! I'm not too into Raptor lights myself. 🙂
Some hate the raptor lights because " it's not a wide enough truck" but yet use the pro grill on an SR5 lol. I like the raptor light look and not a fan of the pro grill since everyone uses them, I stuck with my stock grill for my TRD.
Grill lights remind me of unicorns and rainbows.
im guessing its staying stock T-case for now because of what you said with the driveshafts...? is there plans to add duals or change it out for a lower geared one later?
keep it up man, this build is AWESOME!!! 😍👍
i like the grill lights personally. but id just make them running lights and put them on ignition power. im also a big fan of the 3rd gen, super funny you're swapping a 2nd gen to 3rd gen front end, thata really make all the fanboys cry.
Killing it with the daily uploads
Thanks!
Right on man’ looking good and getting me motivated to do further projects on my 2nd gen hahaha
No raptor lights, everything else is sick
Keep up the good work! I’m loving the vids, can’t wait to see it finished
Ford was forced to put lights on the raptor grilles because the track width of the raptor is 80+ inches from the factory. So anyone else that has “raptor” lights not sporting 80” of track just looks silly to me.
To each their own, I like them on some rigs.
@@jonnylong4110 I’m all for people doing what they like. All I’m saying is there’s a legit reason for them and knowing that reason has changed how I feel about them being on specific builds.
@@lpormedia4553 right on man. I agree with you. I re-read your post. I liked them until I started to see them everywhere. Rock on man, with or with out the raptor lights.
Keep the lights. Is there some reason you don't want to hook them up? Can't you just turn them on when you want to?. Great build!!
Is change then lights out with a different color if you keep them brighter leds for winch lights ? You going over lander look At all ?
Raptor lights are for mall crawlers!!!!!
You should be able to get switch power on the engine side of the firewall, if you ever want to get rid of the wire/tap. Thanks for these, nice to follow along.
Checked all fuses, none of them had power on accessory key position.
@@DirtGarage Aaaah, yes I had ignition (not acc) on my mind. Guess I get to look forward to doing something similar when I get one of these. Thanks for the reply!
@@dlux132 why not run a full wire harness with relay? you can get power even when key off has it's own harness so no fuse taps. I know everyone has their own way of doing things. I like the separate harness imo for me this works. I'm also doing a spore fuse block but no trip switch like you have mines not as fancy but it'll work for me :)
I have a light bar and maybe a second light bar and a winch on my truck they all have their own harnesses
@@fishing_with_chaz I imagine some of these switch boxes support programming different circuits as always available or switched. Beats running more wires. But I guess that means you still need a acc tap/splice for the signal.
I like the Raptor lights I just don't think it fits your style of building and offroading. They're just to flashy.
No dual transfer cases on this build?
Not in phase 1... Definitely going to have to happen though.
Hey bro, do you know the turning radius in ft. should be? Better or worse than stock?
No idea, something I will find out later! I'd imagine much worse than stock.
No lights
craptor lights
Get rid of the raptor lights.
Did you share a link for that control panel? Maybe I missed it🤷♂️
In description.
Hard pass on the Raptorb lights, let the Raptorb's keep their lights and the Tacos do their own thing.
Technically since your have 4 grill lights there not really Raptor lights, make that 3 then your in Raptor mode 😂
No light's
Dog food in the headliner means you have rodents. And they love Toyota wiring. I'd be proactive about it if you can.
Mice
raptor lights exist because raptors are wide enough from the factory that they need the lights like a semi or any other vehicle wider than 80 inches. Don't do it, it's stupid.
But my Tacoma is now wider than 80"
@@DirtGarage lmao good point
Mice move dog food. Keep an eye out
This is exactly my thought.
Raptor lights for the win! #lightsbeforelockers.

Love your shop kitty!
