Hi John, due to high book values on bookmakers, backing at any odds will very likely be a negative strategy long term. Short odds are chosen often, because the bets will win regularly keeping their customers on board for longer, but overtime they will be losing bettors because of the edge the bookmaker's have. Kie

My point was it's actually difficult to pick a significant number of losers in that range meaning their " profit " from the punters losing is a very small edge but WILL make them money in the longer term. Prices at the front of the market are much closer to Betfair prices these days than years gone by. The wide disparities tend to be mid / bigger selections. Over a week of results you actually get some short price favs being bigger at the bookies than on the Exchange these days.

Personally I highlight on twitter that I am NOT a tipster, but I do post my bets and many followers follow my bets. However, I do believe in transparency and unlike some in the betting community, I show how much I've staked. I also regularly highlight how risky my bets are. I totally understand what you say about acca's and I understand the probability of them winning is quite low. However I thoroughly research all my bets and adopt a low stakes/large returns strategy. I have also never been affiliated to any betting company and have refused significant offers to be involved with any, mainly because I totally agree with you that this is an evil practice. anyway, thank you again for the quality video Gary

Hi Niall, I first came across trading on UA-cam and immediately found it an interesting thing which I wanted to try. I spent a lot of time watching UA-cam videos and just jumped onto Betfair to try some strategies out. Firstly I tried horse racing but I haven't got it to work for me yet, so I decided to trade the sports that I know which has been mostly football and cricket
I think tipsters give very little thought to what they are actually tipping, as in the long term they know they will profit of innocent people due to high book values on bookmakers
Well sounds like a gold mine for us surly i mean if these guys know what bets are going to loss surly we just hop on the lay side and we will be rich before we know it lol

Value betting is all about beating the true odds, but being paid out at higher odds for it, thus value.
