came to see if you have the same issues i have with the loose lower knee joint, mine wont even stand up in robot mode, after seeing this i am debating whether i should transform it at all
@@TMReviews oh interesting. Mine is super super tight. So tight I wish it was loose and would need to loosen the screws Maybe you can tighten your screws?

Hi, just happen to view this video when i was searching for transformation guide since mine just arrived today. So from what i saw on some other videos, most fail on transforming due to not bending the elbow enough. The elbow CAN bend past 90 degrees since it's double jointed. But out of the box, the top part of the joint on the elbow is VERY, VERY TIGHT. And that if you don't bend it inwards during step 37 of the transformation on the manual, you won't be able to correctly fit the hip and legs part during the transformation. It's a bit scary to bend the elbow at first, but i can assure you it can bend
That is good to know! Thank you. As a whole this figure is very scary to transform so I can only recommend being way more careful than you think you need to be
@@toomuchnewtoys yeah, i spent hours literally trying to transform this kit, and all the while trying to be extra careful with the ankle and shoulder joint. I hope it is just me and the few others who've had the same problem.. that would be awesome. But I suspect more people will run into this. @@yusifahmad8797 that I don't know. I've only ever ordered and gotten a single item at a time. I guess it depends on how big the items you are buying. If they are big just by themselves to me I'd guess they each get a seperate box instead of one giant one
This mess is so nerve-wracking That's why I don't fool with those. I ordered the Transformer Sky Atlas Optimus Prime and ended up breaking a piece trying to transform it into the truck. Once I finished transforming him. I reversed him back into the figure form and just glued the piece back on and left him like it.
Got mine adn I didnt break it but I am SUPER disappointed in the QC. Had to cut a few parts with an X-acto blade to make the pegs fit. The sword holder that holds the front of the van together was the worst offender. As good as the mecha turtles are, this is that bad. I only go it because teh leo was sold out, but my seller was able to get me a copy. I should have cancelled this immediately. OH and that leg part. I completely removed the screw and it was still super tight, which means their tolerances in the mold are off or something.
@@doro626 yeah I got my sword stuck in that sword holder. I know people think I am being a jerk on this figure, but I love heat boys and just think this figure has some real issues
@@toomuchnewtoys No. For this price point these are very unforgivable issues. I collect masterpiece transformers and when you spend over 150-200 for a figure , you shouldnt be encountering THESE problems. Especially since the other ones ( mecha) are so perfect. Must be two teams or factories.
I think its more just the material of the figure. It as if they designed it and built it like its made of all metal, but its plastic so its just weaker than what they are wanting it to do
@tonyt9562 First i had to watch as many transformation videos as possible. Second, the leg position, especially the hips placement is important. I also could not transform him with the position they said to leave the arms in. My Leo head wouldnt fit. I basically have the figures arms and legs in a position like he is sitting on a Ferris wheel seat holding the lap bar. The crotch gave me trouble flattening out as well. I had to rotate it a few times, to make sure everything was pointing in the correct direction. The screw holes on my forearms are showing and they are resting on the yellow tan crotch and a screw hole is showing in the middle of the crotch ( so I guess that is the back of the robot, not the front). The thighs go down at about a 45 degree angle and the shins are parallel to the ground front the blue knee pads. Some of the "puzzle pieces" of the top and the roof to the cab are still a bit bumpy, but transforming Fanstoys transformers is great practice. Again turning the feet into the front of the cab is where I had to go the slowest. After three weeks I finally got teh weapons to stop falling off if i looked at the van too hard. I really had to push and rock them back and forth to fit att the way into their slots. i scrapped the inside of teh hole with a xacto blade to remove mold flashing. Light scraping. I'm terrified to transform it back, so its going to stay in van mode for a while.
