This series was one of those that I felt deserved to have a longer story line, but then again, I'm a real sucker for animes where the protagonist has a dark uncontrollable side.
it actually has a long story but it was shortened quite a bit for the anime. it´s originally a light novel with currently 25 main story volumes out (and 19 side story ones i think)

i should just dl the source material and read it... i was getting the impression that the power he and the kids had, wasnt truly uncontrollable, but also something that would take an understanding/personality/drive/connection to the world/people, that most who have/gain it, just arent able/allowed to gain..
the thought of somebody able to control and harness/direct a power like that, who genuinely gave a shit about making the world better, rather then just destruction hate and pain...
but i may be wrong, i didnt read much past what we saw in the anime.
either way... hell of a useful ability if you learn to control it even to a modest degree.. with greater control... "unstoppable"

Same name. Just check the link, last volume of the book came out about 4 years. ago. Anime left out a lot of stuff, the source being 11 volumes. Then theres the sequel consisting of 18 volumes and about 19 side story volumes. Theres also video games and stuff.
This Anime had potential. It’s script was up there but the story ended quickly. We need the second part soon. It’s one of those anime’s where it has to have a second part.

Tbh prob my favorite ever 😂
I cried a lot of manly tears whilst hearing Ryner's backstory.
and i kept thinking... "shit, if i wasnt the one who got the powers, i wouldnt be one to shun the guy who did", but, i am a misanthrope and find the way mobs/masses/cliqs/clans/etc act... revolting much of the time... i was the guy who had the "Weirdos" as friends, as well as those who were more popular, hell in HS... i was part of the "freak squad" as some idiots called us... (people who dressed however they felt like dressing, like the cute girl who dressed in army fatigues, not because its all she had, but because, she found them comfortable and comforting, the guy who, as a way to give the finger to his truly insane religious father, wore dresses for the rest of HS after dad got arrested and was forced to stay away from the family, he was a violent drunkard who once tried to fight me, and ended up ducktaped to a deck chair face down till he sobered up... LOL... his own wife threw me the tape so i wouldnt use zip ties... )
anyway...yeah hearing his backstory.. "dude needs a friend who wont fear him or run from him, shun him, whos just a true friend" always thought if they just left the kids like him alone and treated them like treasured members of a community, whos powers needed to only be used when no other option was apparent... and only to defend, protect, etc...
i need to actually read the source material, but... i just got the imperssion reading the stuff that was covered in the anime, that the way people treat them has alot to do with why they are so destructive... not just the voice and such... but the sentiment that they held due to how the world treated them...
I remember seeing the title of this anime and watching it just as a joke because of the name. It completely blew me away, even now I still love it and hope there will be a season 2 someday!

Honestly, we need more darker action anime like Legend of the Legendary Heroes. So many anime nowadays are generic; light hearted action survival types or comedy that have little to no character development and are boring beyond all belief. What happened to the darker anime that had secrets and lies and destructive inner demons? Most of the thrill comes from all the fighting and when secrets are revealed. Now they're just... sad. And what's more sad is that the cool anime that actually bring you into their world, get you attached to the characters, and have some serious lore, get one season or less, and the crappy generic rip-off animes get seven. The world is cruel...

This is one of the best AMVs I've seen in a while. The intro was the best part in my opinion, I just love the dramatic music in the background while Reiner is talking all badass.

This is absolutely amazing!! By far one of the best AMVs I've had the pleasure of watching! The song selection was beyond perfect, as if it were written just for this anime. Not to mention it got me into Skillet.
Also, fantastic job with the editing. It matches almost perfectly with the rhythm and the scenes used really tell the story quite well. Everything is just phenomenal!

I read a book that this song represents really well. It's an E-Book and it's called Soulgaurd. The main character has to go through dealing with a monster inside of him, just like described in this song.
This anime had so much potential with its story and characters but the way in which they played out the series of events and character growth felt a little rushedif the had dragged it out a little more it should have been more popular then it is now
