Smartest worker in the history of pro wrestling. 30+ years in the industry, earning money, never taken a bump.
People only talk about star ratings but meltzer is a good historian of professional wrestling.
The thing that people forget about Brock breaking the streak, it was damage control. His aura was tarnished. We were shocked that the streak was broken, sure. But it was mostly because it was 'just' Brock Lesnar.
That sounds insane now, but you need to put it in context. Brock had only had six matches since returning when he faced Undertaker at WM30. He'd lost 1/3rd of those matches. He lost in his debut against John Cena, and then again to Triple H with a broken arm. His other wins weren't exactly decisive, dominant displays. Mostly even contests with Cena, Punk, Triple H, and the fucking Big Show. Yeah, his last match before fighting Taker was against Big Show, where he had to CHEAT to win. This was a Brock Lesnar that couldn't secure a clean win over the fucking Big Show.
Brock breaking the streak was damage control. It was a way to restore his aura and make him a big star after a year of mishandling had dimished him.

maybe if Brock didn't lose to HHH and Cena they could have done streak vs streak with UNDERTAKER WINNING!!! the out come with still be the same and beat Cena Brock didn't need to break the streak!!!!!!!!!

If Warrior had been fed awesome heels for 4 years straight like Hogan got then maybe he'd of been a bigger draw. He was never given a chance. He got Rick Rude in a cage and that was it. It also didn't help that Hogan had massive sympathy after losing. And that Hogan was given the Earthquake program instead of Warrior.
not only that , maybe if Hogan would have made stars and elevate them instead of Vince building a company around one guy warrior could have been a bigger draw and star , they had a stack roster but Hogan just beat all of them!

Warriors first feud was not Papa Shango. That was 1992. Not 1990. I'm a better wrestling historian then Dave Meltzer yet we live in a world where I can offer him $1,000 to do a podcast and he declines. Gotta suck for the employees of his company who could have used that 1,000 bucks.
Can the people that play every Meltzer video, just to make pointless bagging comments finally get a life! Many like the Dave, just move on.
The best thing about Meltzer is that the people sincerely angry and throwing tantrums about his name being mentioned are the ones who care most about his opinions.

Why do people hate Meltzer so much? Is it because he is making a living off the same stuff y'all do on the Internet for free. Wrestling fans have garbage opinions and bad takes often wrong and try to book shows thinking you can do it better. Are you upset with Dave cuz you see yourself in him but you'll never be successful at talking about wrestling?
I still like Dave. I don't think he's done himself any favors over the past few years on Twitter. He comes across incredibly pompous and condescending a lot of the time. I think that's the reason people have turned on him so hard. I miss the old Dave. The friendly, likeable know it all :)
