Me too. I miss those days of good music. A lot of today's music isn't worth listening to. That's why I created a playlist of my favorite 80s and 90s country. The only country there is.
I'm a 72 year old Portuguese man. I've been listening to country and western music since I was a kid. Music knows no boundaries like race, religion, gender or age.
It will come back around music does this I also listen heavy metal hard rock I remember back 90s grunge rock killed hard rock but it has since come back and grunge is gone I didn't think my beloved hard rock would come back bands such as guns and roses ratt motley crue but they have.
Totally. Last of the great days of any music. Today we get bottle mixed edited primped noise from untalented artist and companies pushing their sound for all crap.
I know this was 2 years ago, but I agree! I still love them after all these years! I grew up listening to them along with a lot of the other ones and now I'm 36!
I was in college at OSU in Stillwater, Oklahoma in the 90s, and it was the only time I listened to country music. I have so many country songs I love from that time. Finally saw Blackhawk in concert in Fort Worth, TX in the early 00s because I love their songs.
Every time I hear this song, I'm suddenly back to being a kid in the mid 90's. A lot of great memories this song brings back. It's still as fresh sounding and catchy today as it was in 1995.
I was 11 when it came out and would turn on CMT when I'd get home from school and just watch awesome country video's. It stinks just how badly country today is. Ugh. I was head over heels when Clay Walker came out. His music is terrific. He has MS and has had bad bouts of it but he doesn't let anything stop him. I had an uncle that passed from MS and there weren't real treatments back in the 80's but Clay Walker is not only a hunk of a man still but, he's an inspiration.
The 80s country music was really good too. Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, Reba, Don Williams, Hank Williams Jr, Keith Whitley, Rosanne Cash, Conway Twitty, John Conlee, Earl Thomas Conley, Waylon Jennings, Tanya Tucker, Ricky Skaggs, Rodney Crowell, John Anderson, George Jones, George Strait, Steve Wariner, T.G.Shepperd, Sweethearts Of The Rodeo, Jonny Lee, Mickey Gilley, Charlie Daniels, Restless Heart, Highway 101, Southern Pacific, & I could go on & on.
My Lord...I miss the 80s & 90s REAL COUNTRY MUSIC. I really miss the TNN NETWORK from these days also...such GREAT, GREAT COUNTRY MUSIC ACTS THAT ACTUALLY SOUNDED LIKE COUNTRY MUSIC & ACTUALLY DRESSED DECENT & CLASSY!!!

Fantastic live band with unbelievable harmonies. I've seen them many times through the years starting in 1998 when the original band was still together. Fantastic memories.
Me and my family would drive from Idaho to Portland Oregon to see my grandparents, my dad had every Blackhawk cassette and this is all we would listen to. I still love it
Henry Paul, Dave Robbins and Van Stephenson were the perfect vocal blend. Also, Dave and Van co-wrote songs for Restless Heart pre-Blackhawk. RIP Van, no doubt you're sailing on the ships of heaven.
I'm still listening in 2023 Oct 11 th ❤this is one of my favorite country music groups growing up. I'll forever love Blackhawk. This is back when country music was country music. Great listening 💯❤️
Randy, you are NOT alone! Great band! I first heard this song in September 1995 on the radio in my car. My tape player had jammed and I could not play any tapes, so I was forced to listen to the radio. I was traveling from Alaska to the East Coast, down to Florida, then eventually to San Diego. About a month on the road! Anyhow, the best stations I could get were the country stations and they kept playing this song over and over! By the time I reached San Diego, I was singing it at the top of my lungs, I could get enough of this song! Ha, ha! Went out and bought the album! Have been a diehard country music fan ever since!
My wife & I saw this band at the Greater Gulf States Fairgrounds here in Mobile Alabama in Oct. 1997. They were so good...another band opened for them that night...a band I had never heard of, but later on they hit the radio big in 98/99 & ever since...Little Big Town. A great concert on a South Alabama Fall Saturday night.
