- Rahul Gandhi In Manipur | Unidentified gunmen opened fire in Manipur's Jiribam district, prompting a security response ahead of Rahul Gandhi's visit to meet ethnic violence victims. Last month, CM N Biren Singh's convoy was attacked in Jiribam. Security has been tightened, and Rahul will visit relief camps in Churachandpur and Moirang and meet the state governor. His day ends with a press conference. This is his first visit as Leader of Opposition, with Congress highlighting the Manipur crisis in parliament. Ethnic clashes since May 2023 have displaced over 1 lakh residents, with 11,000 FIRs and 500 arrests made. Watch the video for more.
