I'm forever wondering about what the differences are between a marine 2.4 and an automotive variant. Aka would an automotive variant stay together with closed loop cooling in horizontal shaft hydroplane sitting continuously at WOT and 5500-6000 rpm? Pushrod Ford Pinto engines stay together but they're definitely much more limited by airflow thru the heads. The honing with a deck plate is certainly worth noting.
