What a fun review and debrief after being hundreds of km apart the entire race. And great to see Kilians particular kind of quirkyness work so well in a Jack Butler video too. Your wild tandem ride up that bumpy backroad gives us a glimpse of what the captain/stoker relationship is like, you gotta hold on and trust the 19 year old, or else... ; )
So nice to see you guys together 😊 thanks Jack and Killian to show us another great build of this year race!! Looking forward to see the Azub factory 😊
Long live the solar bike. Jack what do you think of my solar trailer setup? I have some vids on it. Keep in mind I'm 1000w + so I used 2020 for strength.
This is a great concept! I wonder how much more efficient a tandem can be, as it has the same front cross section but twice the human and solar power. Tradeoff is weight, but it seems more effective to me who has no idea about the whole thing.
Hey, I love your videos! I was inspired to build an e-bike like that myself. However, I’d want to do one of these trips without making it a competition. I looked into the regulations and wonder if these bikes are even legal- not just this tandem bike, but also the ones for individual riders. Most countries only allow bikes with a 250-watt motor and motor assistance up to 25 km/h. Plus, in many places, the dimensions don’t meet traffic regulations. So, I’m curious, does the police just ignore it? Or how do you even cross borders, especially into places like China? How do you get through with a bike you technically aren’t allowed to ride?
you could even flywith that solar wing as a kite wing. also a v-roof and/or bifacial solar panels. how about flat low profile version of the bicycle. yep wheel fork forward and backward, not up. you are already going kite plane flying speed, on ground.

Thanks for showing us this interesting bike
He's back
Great video Jack, so much fun riding a solar bike. I look forward to one day building my own for bike touring.
Great eco-tour 👍
Keep me informed as soon as you arrive in Rabat I am located between Rabat and Casablanca. Have a good trip man!
Surprised there was no regen because it would be a huge power saving.
Especially considering the weight, anything above 150-200kg would bring a significant part of the energy downhill compared to what was needed uphill
They could have had it but had a controller issue.
great inventions my friends ,it should be fun out there

Yea i agree with the logic too! The problem with them (at least on the suntrip) is they always have wheel problems due to all the weight.
Dumb question but: Does their stuff keep working when it rains? With all that electrical stuff getting wet?

Whats the total length approx? Thanks for the review! Super cool!
That vehicle is crazy... I don't know if I would love or hate repairing bikes everyday for a living...wished I had a teenage job in a bike shop...
Yea i think he has a good gig.
What do you think about when you ride a bike?
Good job..
Great. Inspiring. But we are in Maharashtra India I doubt if we will get such material easily available to fabricate such bike.
Das was euch fest hält, ist wohl die gerade Solar Fläche von 3,2 m2.
Da beißt sich der wind schön dran fest 😉🤷🏼♂️

You probably meant to say aluminum...

Mmmh I see very limited potential to cut the chain stays with the chain itself. I don't like it.
it's not possible
this solar panels are so ugly and dangerus
they should be forbbiden.
Think you may need more air.

why ???
@@karelmarx8899 You seem to have some misdirected hate directed at solar.
