I was there nearly 45yrs ago -and it stays with me. A few days earlier I visited Houston MOMA and was acosted by a Rothko they had in a room just off the entrance. I'd seen a few Rothkos in repro (books & magazines) and they'd not registered. BUT THIS!!! It 'leapt' across the 25 metres separation and my legs almost went from under me. I'd never been affected like this before (nor since). None of the others in the gallery was so affecting -but all were hundreds of times more engaging than any repro. So, you have to be there! Days later in the chapel the effect was not as strong, but still I found an hour there to be one of my most affective art experiences. Thankyou Houston!

I like the shape of the building and the skylight. Lots of AIDS funerals there in the 80s and 90s... 🥀

Sherwin Williams has more varieties of colors from which to choose. Black on black is ….not my choice of subject in art. No disrespect is intended, for beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Funny to see all the silent thinkers inside the chapel. Newman sculpture outside the chapel was the only good thing. You can see that from the outside without wasting your time going inside.

I am an artist. I’ve never considered this art. This was built not too far from my home. A few miles. it’s been one of those, the emperor has no clothes , things to me.

Not everyone gets it. That's okay. I love his paintings.
