Like many others, I discovered Dan with this cover. I had heard his name but never checked him out before. Was struck, in a positive way, by this rendition of Amazing Grace and have now begun to listen to more of his music. I can recommend Sleeping Sun by him. One of the best songs I've heard. I had one thought when listening to it though and that was I would dearly hear Tommy and him do a collaboration. Their voices would compliment each other. Dan has sung with other artists so the thought isn't that impossible. Dan's cover of Sabaton is good too.

I discovered him through this video when it dropped around Easter and I've been hooked ever since. Dan has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard and I can't find enough superlatives to describe him. He has worked with a few other musos over the years, including Oriens Reign and OD, and most recently with Confessori, the band formed by former Angra/Shaman drummer Ricardo Confessori,,, the song is "Where Eagles Fly", well worth a peek 😃 Speaking of Angra and Shaman, Dan does a few of their numbers, as well as a touching tribute to Andre Matos following his passing. Dan held him in very high regard.😔 For mine, the best place to start watching Dan is at the beginning. See a very young, fresh(6 months to a year?) out of the army Daniel recording his audition for the DragonForce lead singer. As you follow his journey you'll see how he, through dedicated training, grows both vocally and physically, as well as emotionally. I read somewhere that for each of these videos, Dan's vocal preparation and recovery is over a 3 day period, with the warm up exercises being day 1, the performance on day 2, and complete vocal silence on day 3. That takes a level of discipline that most singers probably wouldn't have, or even have the proper time to do it... He has a cheeky, slightly bent, sense of humour, having dropped a couple of April fool's jokes via his music videos, they are quite fun. Overall, it's the voice and the range that impresses me constantly, which he shows through his song selection, which is eclectic in its choice, everything from show tunes to metal, in its many forms, to Christmas music to Opera, it is unexpectedly joyous... and I'm prattling on... sorry, not sorry 😊 Plus, let's face it, he is definitely not hard to look at either 😋 🙃🐨🇦🇺

The Witcher series songs, I'll Make a Man out of You, etc. He has over 200 videos out there. This song is out of this world and he takes us to the Throne of God with it. Dan has tremenous power and ability.
While i couldnt stand the original song called Chop Suey, it's become one of my Dan's favorites. I love almost every song by Dan. I tbink my most fave is that word song originally by Extreme. I cant recall the title off hand, but ... Wow.

If you really want to see his full range than I would recommend you listened to his cover of Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. In that song he does all the parts and when I say that I mean all of the parts. It's a multi-track thing all of the voices are him and it is spectacular!
