    2 JR’s? Could you imagine the content they would crank out! Man, a good interior clean, exterior wash and polish makes old stuff look soo good.

      My thoughts exactly! Different sides of town, but we essentially do the same type of thing! hahah It'd be dangerous to the Wichita car market if we paired up too often! haha

    I guess those are leds behind gauges right? Do you or John Ross know what size they are I have a 2009 GMC Envoy Denali that I want to put those leds in. Gauge cluster on Silverado is very similar💯

      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому

      It just so happens that I rebuild clusters too. It’s just a standard LED soldered to the board. They aren’t a wedge bulb. Factory incandescent jobs have a pedestal but they aren’t necessary. I prefer 3mm when I do rebuilds.

    Sorry about the mess. Hopefully the hose wasn't broke while you were pressure washing it 🤦🏻‍♂️ stupid things are not holding up well over there.

    • @ObsessedAuto
      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому +1

      Wasn’t too messy! I didn’t wanna mess with you guys’ mojo so I used the trash can for a bench! 😂😎 the hose was peeing all over! I grabbed one from Sam’s and it’s held up since the beginning. Not a fancy extending hose, but it works very well!

      @@ObsessedAuto we bought 3 120ft hoses from Sam's to move water access for the sink and pressure washer and they are very nice, just hard to manage. Should probably buy those reel and short hose to run from the splitter to the pressure washers. No messing with our mojo, I'd rather see everyone succeed than stress over "territory", there's plenty of cars for everyone! Had I known you'd be there I'd have set up the pad washer for you to check out/try.

    I hear ya - seeing each bit of a faded old vehicle come back to life with the right detailing is SO cool. Heck of a difference now from when he picked that thing up.

      It is officially a beaut! This was a quick 1 step from Chemical Guys called VSS I think it stands for "Vehicle Scratch and Swirl"

    Is pronouncing roof "ruuf" a Kansas thing? Tyler Hoover and some other guys from around Wichita say it like that.

    • @ObsessedAuto
      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому +2

      Is that not how it’s pronounced?! Lol we all speak Midwestern here! Ope! 😂🤷🏻‍♂️🤯

    • @boilerhousegarage
      @boilerhousegarage 3 роки тому

      Nah man, it's pronounced similarly to Ruth-at least, not if you're in the Midwest or have had a stroke! 😄 (jokes)

    Please tell me that truck is midnight blue. Because if it's not I need to have my eyes checked.

    • @ObsessedAuto
      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому +1

      Should I schedule your appointment, or are you on it? 🙈😂 it’s black, but it has a lot of flake so with the camera and LED lights it does appear to have a blue hue!

      @@ObsessedAuto Well back in the 90s I had a midnight blue Mazda pickup that was midnight blue without metallic and in the dark sometimes it could be mistaken as being black. I think the paint code was called Baja Blue. It was one of the prettiest paint colors I've ever seen.

    What product do you use on the black trim?

    • @ObsessedAuto
      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому +1

      On this truck we used the Avalon King. I have 5 or more products in my arsenal when it comes to trim. If you’re looking to protect trim that already looks good I recommend VRT by Adam’s Polishes.

    • @ObsessedAuto
      @ObsessedAuto  3 роки тому +1

      Good eye! I was using chemical guys VSS on a white CG hex logic pad. The polisher is the Torqx 15 I believe. I had another polish/compound, it was dusting really bad and I didn’t want to mess with that!

      @@ObsessedAuto Thanks for the response/info. CG makes some really good stuff. Haven’t tried their polishes yet but plan to. The Avalon King Armor Shield IX is an absolute blast to use and works well too.
