New subscriber. Found your video and like the no faffing about and no music. If you sweat like me, then it is better to wash suit more often. Bees hate the smell of old sweat. Thanks and going to look for more clips.
Bruce : Nice Video, your Garage is the size of my House seriously... 🤣 Anyhow. You can also wash that Bee Suit with a bit of added Washing Soda Crystal's (this is also good to clean Hive Tools, Brushes, Gear generally.) It's much cheaper than Laundry Detergent alone. Why is everything Super Sized in USA 🇺🇲??? A bottle that size here in Scotland 🏴 would be about $50 ! NO joking, a x1 Litre Bottle is about £3 ($6). And, our Washing Machines are the Size / Type to fit into a Kitchen Cabinet Slot ! And to boot are Front Loading Models... No Room to wash a Bee Suit ! 🙄 So you guys with outside Washer / Dryers... 👀 and way Cheaper Electricity can't grumble about a Bee Stunged Suit... Here, I am afraid, it gets cleaned maybe once a Year.* (Kinda of lazy !) Unless, you visit some other Beeks* Apiary, do a Bee Class* etc. : That's a must re preventing Bee Disease Spread. AFB EFB. Luckily we don't have Africanised Bees, or Small Hive Beetles however we do have the dreadful Varroa Mite !!! That needs regular clean Tool use, Clean Gloves, no sharing Frames about etc. [Unless you know VM has been eliminated to the max with regular IPM thru the whole Bee Season.] Tip: And / Or we buy Several Bee Suits, off those 3AM ending Listing Sites, or Bargain Corner Sales. 😀 Get a few mucky Monkey Suits, and do a full load. Our dumb London UK Government, just stopped a 280% increase in Domestic Fuel Costs. We will still pay more than $4k per Annum. Better than $10K ! 😡 Off to do my Bees, and forget day to day woes. And remember our Queen ER II 💐 who died last Thursday. She ran our 'Hive' (Nation) for x70yrs, you will be missed.👑😢 Only Queen now is the one I see in my Brood Box. 🤔 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 Happy Beekeeping 2022 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Here in Bristol UK, I have no problem washing in a front loader, and with washing soda ( unscented) comes out clean every tim, no ppolis, wax or stings. Best thing is I've not had to detach the hood from suit.
Another little cleaning tip that works for us, soak your suit, hood and all in a little detergent and oxi-clean overnight. Can usually just rinse the hood and then launder the suit in your machine. We learned this tip from Kamon Reynolds.
Ive been washing my hood and suit on cold in UK machine, with washing soda, unscented. 1200 rpm spin. The hood is tucked into the arm to reduce agitation. No problems and i rarely have to buy a new suit, unless i get fatter. Just thought id suggest for those out there who have difficulty removing the hood from suit.

I've been using a little white vinegar as a fabric softener and air dry as well works great and dosen't have any smell. 👍👍

When you said to hang your Bee Suit up to dry, do you hang it up indoors or outdoors? Does that include the hood as well?
I just hang it inside the garage but outside would work fine. Hood as well.
