- Jacob attempts to fit through a cave previously thought to be impossible. Now called Jacobs Passage.
We will upload portions of squeezes every now and then. This will not be instead of other videos it will be in addition to our regularly scheduled adventure videos.
Imagine being the only human who has ever laid eyes and feet in a particular area of a cave. Nicely done, Jacob. That’s hell of an accomplishment.

Is Jacob considering doing anything career-wise using his caving skills? Gotta imagine he's in the top 5% of cavers at this point, if not 1%, and that's discounting his age.
Yeah it's funny I think Jacob is gonna end up being one of the more well known cavers in the world at a real young age.
I don't know what he wants to do. Hes still a kid so he can just have fun. If the channel keeps blowing up it would be an option for him as a full time job just making these videos. Not sure that's what he has in mind though.

I did about 3 days in a warehouse at 17, did some retail work unpaid and was a driver doing some delivery food for a restaurant but that was cash in hand
I also have severe anxiety that I haven't had diagnosed so that makes things difficult.
I'm hoping to get a job though , a career would be awesome
This is so much more intense than skydiving, not even comparable to this hobby. This kid having this type of courage and mental fortitude will take him a LONG way in life.
Out in public he’s a quiet, polite honor student that gets embarrassed when recognized as a pro caver.
I could never do this and these videos give me an insane amount of anxiety but him coming out and saying “that was so much fun!” made that all melt away lol
I don't know why I can't post a comment, but these people that do recreational caving are some of the stupidest people on earth.

I have watched everything you guys do do for a long time now I have cripple in and Closter phobia And believe it or not this show has helped me. For an example I work on vehicles and I've been stuck under a panic so bad I've smashed my head needed stitches lost all my clothing I was wearing Just about had a heart attack But recently I got stuck on your truck and I remained calm and thought about what I had to do And that is all thanks to you guys
That's great! Some people are able to build up a tolerance through video therapy.
But it's so true that the life lesson of being calm and patient is helpful in many situations.

This is my first time seeing this family. If each video is worse than the previous, they will eventually go too far and will be on the list of UA-camrs that won the Darwin Award.

Damn your son is gonna be an amazing cave explorer lol, you can tell he has a true love for it. The fact that he didnt go into a panic attack in a squeeze that tight is insane.
Nephew…and his dad is a caver as well. Jacob would cave every day, but we have to recover.
I don't think humans will be doing this in a few years. It's so easy to stick a remote controlled robot and they can be made for all sorts of conditions. Ones with wheels. Ones with legs like a scorpion. One that can drone around when necessary, walk again and what not. Just stick a wide angle camera to one of those.
Whatever Jacob chooses to do later in life, he is going to have a much better preparation than 99% of the men of his age of handling difficult situations not necessarily in caving, but in relationships and other situations where you need to stay calm, assess and make a good choice. This is how you parent, you let the young grow in difficult situations, you let them make their own desicion and stay ready for them in case they bite off more than they can chew.

We experience a pretty prominent level of panic. It has to be pushed down. Which is a real experiment in human psychology.

Most of the caves we do as a family, (three generations) have entrances that are considerably tight. It becomes a natural gate to most anyone inexperienced in caving.
That was so tight that Jacobs had to hurry before he grows an inch and wouldn't fit anymore

That's crazy bud I'm 34 years old and lay patios for a living, and I get hurt all the time smashing my fingers and banging my shins and knees, but I couldn't do what you guys do. Constantly roughing up your bodies and putting yourself thru the tightest possible spaces....it's pretty damned grueling. My hats off to ye.
Naaaaa I was in there about 3 weeks before the filmed this. No big deal. He should be super stoked to be the 2nd ever in there. Ok for real way to go man! That has to be one of the most rewarding feeling. Well done good Sir we’ll done.
There's a little trick. If you're the first in there, leave a little stack of rocks. That way the next person knows they weren't first.
I'm afraid Jacob's little stack of rocks will never be seen by another human. He was that perfect combination of old enough to go caving and young enough to be small.

@@CalvinHikes yeah i plan on trying to map them with my brother. I tried the whole grotto thing but it was full of Trumpers and on my first meeting all they did was talk about politics. Gave me a really negative impression of what a grotto was supposed to be. Why can't we just not bring up politics at all?
Anyway..
Plenty of caves around here though, looking forward to seeing as many as possible!

I know a few people have already said this… but to be in a place where no human has been before… must be a crazy and awesome feeling
Both of those feelings. We are in such a remote region that we know we are our own rescue team, too. We are prepared.
Maybe noone else ever visit that part of the cave) So technically it now exists in his memories and the digital data. Sorry for some philosophy: caves are perfect places for thinking.

Just remember kids grow so bloody quick! And are brave to a fault at times.
Jacob is already much too big to fit back in that hole. We take every necessary precaution to come home at the end of the day very alive.

the only issue i have with you is that if ... for some reason. it was impossible for him to reach the opening on the other side or if there was a hole he fell through etc

That's Joel it's Jacob's friend. He still hangs out and caves with this occasionally.
We do not take anything from the caves. Technically it's illegal but it's also just a good idea to leave the cave as is. But the cave takes souvenirs. Our skin and blood.

This was over 3 times smaller, John Jones was over 300 pounds. I was 95 pounds when I went through this sqweeze

We guess. And yeah we are willing to let others pull us back. When I'm alone we don't do such things. But with the team, there is literally nothing we can't get each other out of.
