This is my 3rd time thru Acts- these Bible studies ground and guide my life. Thank You for supporting me in deepening my love and life with Jesus. Thank You!!
What I find fascinating is how Saul was making death threats and grabbing letters but when he became Paul he wrote letters about eternal life. Also how Ananias had a vision with instructions to be an answer to Saul's prayer. After Saul had a vision of Ananias. The Lord orchestrates the details and timing of his plans beautifully. That desire to pray for something just may be God wanting you to cooperate in his will.
It’s cool to think about what God doing the impossible would or does look like today in our world. Exciting! I like to keep a journal and look back periodically, and I’ve realized by looking back a year or so that he has done some really cool things through situations that might have looked impossible at the time.
There have been many times I can recall Jesus performing miracles throughout my life. Whether they directly impacted myself or not, I know that they could’ve only come from the one above!
I imagine Ananias thought he was going to be killed/imprisoned by Saul too. The instructions must've sounded crazy to him. It reminds me of confirmation I received through prayer after having something on my mind that I was really hoping was not God. There's a calm fear and awe knowing that he wants more of you.
I like the version of the bible that you guys read from. It is easy to read and understand. Can you please tell me which version it is? So that I can switch over? Please?
Notice certain facts. Acts 9:1-2 The earliest disciples were called "the Way". They congregated in synagogues. They were subject to the authority of the High Priest. Therefore, they were NOT Christians but Jews. Acts 24:5&14 confirms that the Way or the Natsarim Sect of 1st Century Judaism is the true identity of the earliest followers. The name "Christians" was coined in Antioch under Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch. This group believed in another gospel. Read the theology of Ignatius. Always speak the truth.
I believe God for the restoration of my family...it seems impossible at times but I know through Him it is possible.
Amen 🙏
