Yes! I’m on board with that. Maybe sign contracts before the season that outline the requirements necessary in order to receive a full pay out. Just to make the math easy, let’s say they get $120K for the season. It should be in writing that it’s worth $10k per regular season game. For any game missed, that’s $10k subtracted from their pay out!

Here's my issue with that. He's losing guys that have proven CAN play and he's taking a massive risk to play either guys that clearly weren't ready this year or that we might land in the portal. There are no guarantees that this will pay off because Arbuckle has been successful with Cam Ward and John Mateer. We still don't have a QB1 and this year will either tell us that Arbuckle can develop QB's and run an offense without his previous star QB's or that he and this OU staff are gone at the end of the season.

Its time for Sooner Nation to realize this was probably the wrong hire. I give him 1 more year and if he doesn't reach 9 wins he should be fired.

You can say, most of these players were injured, but when they were not injured, they were very productive!!! And the scenario plays out that they can’t be relied on but now you have no leader ship in that room unless Burks and Gibson both come back. Evaluation versus recruiting versus development. You can bring in replacements but can I share of the Fanbase, that any of these players are going to be as nearly as productive as the ones that are leaving before they were injured?!!!
Portal players are coming to Nhu University, Newtown new student body, which is a adjustment .
