Great review! I got this amp a few days ago and have been loving it with my DT880 600 Ωs. The only gripe I have is with the blue LEDs on the front being bright in the dark. I put some LightDims LED blockers on it and now the amp is perfect!

    I love NAD. I have a C368, a C268 and a C568. They sound great, to me.

I bought this amp but I must say I prefer my Arcam Alpha 2. The Arcam doesn’t get warm at all unlike the NAD. So while the Arcam still works fine the NAD is in its box.

I picked one of these up having had the older model without the phono stage about nine years ago and sounds the same as I seem to remember however I noticed a little issue with it and was wondering if anybody else had the same behavior.
So the issue is when I am changing the volume with the remote and the motorized potentiometer is activated there is a very slight low level buzzing coming through either speakers or headphones. It seems to happen on all inputs and it only happens when that motorized action is occurring. I don't seem to notice it when music is playing or let's say a signal is being passed through only when there is no signal of any kind.
I'm inclined to think it's not really an issue because again it doesn't interfere with music and if I simply turn the knob by hand which I do 70% of the time it doesn't do it, again it only does it when you use the remote and the motor of the pot turns the knob.

Nad used a@b class technology. The best thing to do is buy a fan that sits on top of the integrated amp. I have the 326bee and it's like a mini volcano but using the fans really help to cool it down.

My NAD 316BEE v2 gets pretty warm, pretty quickly. Is this unusual? I have owned other receivers and integrated amps, but none of them has ever gotten as warm as the NAD does. My speakers are 8 ohm bookshelf speakers (Mirage FRX-1B-1). But as a test, I removed the speaker cables and left the NAD on, without playing any music either, and it still got warm (though not as warm as it does when playing music through the speakers). Could my unit be defective? What are other NAD 316BEE owners' experiences?

Just look for more efficient speakers such as Klipsch or others with higher sensitivity.

It is not made in Canada! The parent company, Lenbrook, is in Canada, but it, like most affordable electronics and speakers from all the big manufacturers, is made in China
