M. Gryaznov, you are one of my favorite pianists. I love everything in your piano playing, your voices, your sound, your virtuosity, the atmospheres. Thank you so much !
ive heard many recordings of op 10 and 25 and have listened to gryanov's recordings dozens of times each. my conclusion is that these have never been played better. this is genius level playing to say the least.
Mr. Gryaznov, this is an incredible performance. Your c sharp minor etude is almost as charged with electricity as that of the mighty Sviatoslav himself! And I can not get over your voicing in the A minor etude. Simply incredible.
I absolutely love this opus. It’s so fascinating, as a pianist, to get to hear different expressions of these songs. He definitely goes way beyond any of the expressive elements that are written in the music. I absolutely love it.
Many thanks for your dedication, Surely Chopin is very happy when listen our performance; perfect sound, tempo, attack......all is easy when you play. Congratulations!.
@@hermodnitter3902 No; it's the reverb in the hall and the far micing that you're hearing. Listen to him playing this etude in other performances; he is pristine perfect; virtually flawless.
Thank you so much...I did not hear so long time someone plays etudes so good...With such a powerful tone and simply so bright and I have no words more to describe how my soul became delighted hearing you playing...Thank you so much...
It's hard to stop listening to this wonderful recital--it's so incredibly good! I have to pull myself away from my computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are many pianists who plays this Serie Op 10 with perfection, some less pianists who play them with such fellings-intensity, but very few who can do it practically being, as individuums, absent from stage. Humbleness of the really giants makes it possible
Stunning, as always! My favorites are no.1, 3 and 12. Absolutely amazing technique coupled with sensitivity and depth of interpretation. Chopin would have been very happy to hear you! Bravo!

All I can say is wow! How long have you been playing? Love no. 12 at the end--you played with such raw emotion! Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally, a video with the piano facing the other way! I especially enjoyed the subtle (and later not as subtle) connection in the RH harmony making it more like its own line on the No. 2 in A minor...interesting interpretation.
I feel the his 2012 performance in Moscow (Tchaikovsky Conservatory) was better than this one: here the tempos were so very fast. Just goes to show how much superb technique Gryaznov really has!
I think the mics are too far from the piano. I do like to hear more of the ambient sound and echoes from the hall, but this sounds like we are sitting out in the lobby listening to the concert.
Etude in F terrible sound, hard to even listen what he was playing. Sound in mismatch. Etude 11 too empty in expression. When a slow tempo is being played, you have to have somerhing to fill IT in... Etude 12 played as an etude, sound mix together. Badly chosen expression for the main theme. Nothing special. He knows now after 10years or so, that this was not extra performance. He knows that very well I suppose....
Gryaznov is so much underrated .. Virtuosity, voicing, emotions, humility ... What else ?
He plays clean, but mechanically. But these etudes are romantic characterpieces.
@Alazar Wanderer Some Russian piano keys pressers as u say are very talented. Trifonov for instance.

4th one was a bit too fast for my taste, notes are smeared together..
