Thank you! This is a well done video and is easy to follow. It shows care was used when making it, which is always good and appreciated.
using fabric; take this pattern and make it larger (like the outer ring would be + or - 30 inches or 77 cm) cut the holes and lace in either leather or string, and you would have a purse or if you wore it on your head, a handmaiden's dust cap.
Top....
Nice. I'm not sure whether I need or want one like it, but if we get around to getting back into the SCA, or go back to the Bristol Ren Faire, it's something I could whip together quickly. I have to admit that the Sharpie on leather thing makes me cringe, but that's just me. Before I go for making one of these, I have a few more important projects to do, first. Stitching pony is first, followed by a couple of projects that I'd want a pony for. Still, this is likely to stick in my mind for a long time, since I love things like this.
We’re glad you enjoyed the video! We’d love to see your pouch when it’s finished.
oh wow , where can I purchase this tool to make the lacing ..
Брелок-гаманок!
Hi there, what weight is the maul you are using please?
Order of The Arrow.
Awesome bag.. what tool was that you used to make lace it is cool
It's called a Spiral Lace Cutter or Lace Maker. The one in the video is from Tandy Leather Craft, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. I included a link to the Lace Maker from Weaver Leathercraft below, though. Full Disclosure: they are extremely fiddly and require ALL the patience.

@@thisoldmeadhall7679 thank you very much, I appreciate it and I have a whack of bby blue chrome tan. Looks identical to the stuff you were using.
Anyway I hope you continue to put out some more videos. Your doing a great job.
Inner circle size? 1 1/2" or 2" maybe? First outer circle is 10", the second outer circle size? 9 5/8" or 9 1/2"? Thanks
I used a pre-made pattern (link in the video description). If you want to make your own pattern, The outermost lacing circle is ~½ to ¾" in from the outside edge, and the innermost circle is ~2" in from the outside edge.
Apologies for how long it took us to respond; life has been kicking us in the pants.
What type of leather did you use?
The red leather is (if memory serves because it's been in my stash for *a while*) 2-3 oz. calf or goat skin. The grey is a little heavier and came out of a REALeather remnant bag. It is chrome tanned cowhide and has an upholstery-like finish.
@@thisoldmeadhall7679 noted, thank you
