If your watching this looking for how to remove tape ins... PLEASE do yourself a favor & use pure coconut oil! Heat it up and apply to the tape. It will not only take the glue and tape out in one shot. But it wont damage your hair & it deep conditions at the same time. IT DOES NOT TAKE LONGER!!! If you do it correctly. Acetone will eventually eat at your tape & ruin the extensions... not to mention dry out your hair cuticle & damage your hair in the long run.
Acetone will work yes. I agree. But pure coconut oil does the job better with less clean up time after, and its obviously less damaging.
Be kind to your hair people ❤

Little protip maybe you heard it before in the comments but ill say it anyways 🤩, USE rather oil or bond remover for removing the tape in, I recommend (Walker Tape Action Adhesive ) it’s oil based and it’s not pulling so hard on your hair chemically! I see the acetone is working just fine, but it’s not good for your scalp honey 😨😍 from hairdresser and extensions tech from Norway 🇳🇴 love the end result 😇 good job 👍

That's up to you and the last time you washed your hair with the extension in. I usually lightly wipe off the tape area after removal with a damp cloth to remove excess residue. Never had any adhesion issues.

In your previous video you cut the wefts down the middle and then you take the half of the weft and sandwich that in half. on here it looks like you’re taking one whole weft and just folding it in half. Jw cuZ I wanted to try your method wanted to know what’s best :)

What? She definitely used a whole weft in the video. It was not cut down the middle. If it had been she would have had to cut the tape when reapplying it. Not sure why she replied with one sentence, not even acknowledging the fact that she used a different method then before. Hopefully she misunderstood cause otherwise her reply is a great example of gaslighting

Just an FYI, using acetone to remove your extensions is very damaging on your natural hair. This may be a reason why your hair is thin and brittle, the acetone is drying out your hair and basically killing it. You should seriously use a product made specifically for removing extensions, oil is preferable to acetone.

  • @sjah40

    • @christiboom2135

You are supposed to remove the old tape, wash, dry, apply new tape. If you don’t wash then the remover is still on the extentions.

When you remove the extension the tape left on is a mess it’s not clean like it is an a brand new one. I watched this video for that purpose and it’s useless.
