I use a circle punch to punch out the color card stock that matches then I adhere it to the bottom of the spot and store the spot upside down so the ink is at the top just like our big stamp pad.
I use the color cardstock, a regular paper punch to punch out the circle, then apply yo the top with a glue dot. So helpful to find the re- inker!
Very very informative video - thank you! I didnt knkw that the markers could be re-inked so thats cool!
So glad you offered to resend these videos out to your email subscribers. I have gotten so many great ideas from you!!!
Love the tip with putting the dimensional on the staz-on pads' inner cover

I love you! for solving my frustration with the Staz On inner plastic lid. That's the smartest thing I've seen in a long time. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank u Brandy. Really appreciate this reinking video. Have a blessed great evening.
Thank you for this video. I prefer to use a small cube ink pad to use when I use my Stamparatus. Now I know how to ink these up properly.

I think my first comment didn’t go through. I have been stamping about a year and a half. These videos have been so helpful and have answered some of the questions I had. Thank you so much for putting these together for us! 😊
This was very helpful. I have several retired colors, so I am currently trying to match them to similar colors to order refills to reink them.
Thank you Brandy for the re-inker tip for the markers! Here in AZ those markers dry out sooo very fast, and I would have to replace the whole family when that happens And now I don’t. Thank you, THANK YOU!!
Catching the replay. I just re-inked my pads and I over did it
Oh, no... it happens. You can push the ink around with the back of the spoon or maybe dab up a bit with a paper towel. ;)
Labeling the reinker bottles was such a great idea.
I learned so much from this! I love watching you stamp!
It makes my heart happy to know you learned some new things watching this!

Love the suggested ideas to label the top of the reinkers. Glad to see you doing the white reinker. I thought I was doing something wrong because it was thicker than I expected. Now I know that is normal. Love these videos.

This was great but i changed a bit. I used a hole punch and punched white card stock. After attaching to bottles with glue dots I touched them on the matching stamp pad . Soooo easy and this way colors match ink.

Very helpfull did learn some stuff
Now I can ink my markers up and have them useable. Thanks
Your stamp pads are so clean! Mine get inky around the edges and I have a hard time getting it cleaned up. Thank you s much for your inspiration and instruction!
Really great ideas!
Thank You!!!
Did know you could refill your markers, thank you for the tip.
Thank you so very much!
Hey Brandy. Another tip is to use a labeled and mark the base of the sot pad too so you get the right lid in place. A couple of those tips were new to me. Creative Blessings!
Should I be storing my stampin up inks upside down? I have been stamping for 30 years and keep learning all the time. I came in late, so I am going to watch this video again. love watching your videos! Thanks for all of your hard work!
Love your videos thank you
Yay!! I'm so glad you are enjoying my projects and tutorials. That makes me so happy!! Stay in touch and let me know if you need something or have questions. I'm always glad to help. Hugs, Brandy
Thank you Brandy
Thanks for sharing
So interesting thank you
Thank you So many tips.
You are so welcome Anita!
Thank you so much😘😁💕
Great tips, Brandy. I was actually just wanting to refill some of my old markers but couldn't get the tip off. I'll have to look for the craft tweezers that you used. Also, I really love the quality of all SU ink pads. However, I really do miss the "old" style stamp pad. I found the hourglass shape was more ergonomic for my hands and the foam pad worked really well. I also still have some of the "ancient" felt type stamp pads. Those are some old colors! 😂 The re-inkers seem to last forever, so I still keep them around.
Watching replay on UA-cam!
I've really been enjoying these tips & tricks! Funny thing about this particular video is I wasn't planning to watch it, I'm glad I did, I learned quite a bit 😁 Have you ever tried mixing 2 similar colors on the Stampin' Spots to give it an ombre effect? Thanks again for doing this series 🤩 Hugs 🤗
Good evening Brandy!
Love these tips! These basic things are so helpful for those of us starting out! Thank you once again! Am enjoying this series so much!
I refill my markers using a hypodermic needle. Much faster and less messy for me.
I am not a beginner but your tips are amazing
Hi, since the inked spot can look like another color, I label the bottom of the spot. The clear lids are interchangeable. OR I label both the top and bottom piece. 🙂
Great tips, Brandy. I did not know you could refill the writers. Thank you. I hope you stop using plastic spoons in the future😅
This series is very helpful. I am mostly self taught, so your videos are so very good for me. I have a very large number of the Stampin blends, and the lights are drying out very fast. I wish they would come up with a refill for them. Than you again for your sharing with us.
I want to start by saying Stampin Up has not given this tip so it’s at your own risk to try this. I have refilled many of my blends using denatured alcohol and the reinkers. I remove both caps from the blend marker, remove the brush tip (I have the same tweezers shown here), using a pipette or eye dropper I put 6-8 drops of the alcohol and then add a few drops of color. Replace the nib and both caps…shake it up a bit then lay on its side for a minute. This has worked great for me so far. Started doing this once they started selling blends in pairs instead of just the singles. As I said though…this is at your risk. I have some of the old blends that came light, medium and dark in a little box. I use 2, 3, 4 drops respectively when refilling those.
Yes, I have also refilled Stampin Up alcohol markers. It’s not officially recommended but it works well for me. I use Ranger’s alcohol blending solution (has glycerine to help spread) and matching dye refill from stampin up. I had some that were totally dried out (Feb 2015 purchase). If totally dry, soak first in alcohol brush tip side down in a small cup for 10-30 minutes. A few came back at this stage. Some of them were very faint, mostly on the brush tip side. I pulled the tip, added 3 drops of blending solution, then added dye refill 3-5 drops, and added blending solution to the brush tip, before pushing the tip back in. I shake vigorously and let it sit 10 minutes before testing. Don’t add too many drops at first. It’s easier to go darker than lighter. If a “light” gets too dark, wash out the tip by pulling it out and letting it sit on a few drops of blending solution. Add a few drops of blending solution to marker before replacing tip. I got some overflow at this stage. Mop up extra with a paper towel, then add a few more drops of blending solution until color is lightened. In a brown dark marker, I added 2 drops from one color darker than the matching refill and 3 drops from the correct refill and that seemed to do the trick. Anyway, they are all restored. 😊 But this is a hack, so use at your own risk.
Love the tips! I just got a couple of new ink pads and they look like they need ink - any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks,,,
Hello Brandy!
Very very helpful! Is it best to store the ink spots upside down?
Watching replay
Hi everyone from NY
A q-tip would clean around the plastic edge of the stamp pad, the pointy ones that are sometimes called makeup q-tips would be ideal
Absolutely!!! Great idea!!! Love ya!!
Thank you for sharing those tips, especially the pens. Do you ship to England?
I'm glad these tips were helpful for you! Feel free to print the downloads from my website & blog brandyscards.com/beginners/ and follow my videos! I am in the U.S. and unable to ship outside territories but you can go to stampin.com and in the left corner you should see a location drop down button and you can choose a UK demonstrator there OR call Stampin' Up! and they can connect you with a demonstrator in England.
My trick for keeping my white no from drying out is to put it in a ziplock bag after you ink it up.
Thank you so much, I did learn some new ideas. One question, can we use the black re inker on the Memento or do we need a different ink?
Memento makes their own ink. I think Memento is for alcohol coloring, and water coloring, whereas Stampin up's black is not. Plus its a totally different formula. I bought my reinker from Amazon. Make sure you get the color you have on the case. They have different blacks. :)
Very helpful tips here. The one thing I have had a problem with is keeping the lids on the stampin spots. I store them flat upside-down & when I pick them up to use the lids often are left behind. I am short on space so the spots pads can give me more colored pads to use & fit in a plastic drawer on my bookcase.. Any suggestions. I have tried scotch taping them but I need to cut the tape to get into them each time.
