On the previous video😂When Luke falls on his face kicking and moaning cause Laura shuts him down I find myself laughing too. That smokin hot kiss from Luke when Laura brushes her hair. The sensuality is palpable. I love watching them play . . . inevitably interrupted by a knock on the door🤦♀️. Punkin-Berry! Love that❤️❤️❤️
I remember noticing at the time, the warmth and caring extended by Mrs. Whittaker being so appreciated by Laura.. She was so very homesick and Mrs. Whittaker provided this great side character of a surrogate mother figure for Laura. It was so well thought out to every detail. sigh....
Have to be ready to leave at a moment's notice, within 20 minutes...anyone seeing the development of the carpet bag at this stage? Laura learning how to prep for being on the run. This is where it began! Whoa!
Oh I just love that spontaneous bit at the end when he grabs her and almost tickles her to the bed.. it was so much fun and so real just watching them. momentary lapse into this time capsule of nostalgia, it seems to be just under the surface when watching these.
Labor day! September! They have been on the run for 2 months. :) Luke: Have I told you how beautiful you are today? Laura: Yes when you got me up at the crack of dawn. Luke: It was not the crack of dawn. It was the crack of 8:00 ROFL!
Well its still late August, because in 1980, Labor Day was September 1st. They started running on the Monday after the "wedding", July 14th, Bastille Day! So they have been on the run about seven weeks.
actually i am enjoying these while getting through the work day! Funny I had forgotten some of these great scenes since it has been sooooo long since being able to see them. Thanks so much for bringing it all back with such great memories! :)
"....it was the crack of 8 o' clock." LOL. Why aren't they writing Luke like this today? Where's the humor? I mean, on the current GH, it's obvious his life is miserable without Laura, but STILL.....I miss this Luke.......and oh yeah...bring back GENIE!
@@terricoleman5495 But the storyline was one where Frank Valentini asked Tony something that he hadn't done that he wanted to do and that storyline was it. Tony talked about this when he accepted his last Daytime Emmy.
They allowed TG to ruin the Luke character. Actually, the end storyline that TG wanted was to have Luke die onscreen so there would be no chance to bring him back, similar to Stephanie Forrester on B&B. Tony wanted to play a dark character, I'm sorry that is not the Luke we knew. Sure, Luke had a rough start in life, but he was always striving to be better. He always wanted Laura and kids, they were wrong to change him into a character we didn't know. They should have just let him keep portraying Bill Ekhert and not have him play Luke. We could have accepted a dark Bill, but not a totally different Luke.
Laura is a bit dense, she does'nt call her mother all this time to tell her she's ok? how about her husband? she knows she has to face ending her marriage...yet she acts as if she wants to stay in this runaway situation for a long time
such strange southern accents for a small town in NY State! I ought to know, I am from NJ and well, no one has any southern accents in NY or NJ or even PA
Laura fields It was July 9th when Scotty read the letter at the foot of the bed, I think it was that same day that he knocked Luke off the boat, so yeah, the August 6th date is just when they are in Wyndams - dancing and all dressed up. So technically, they've been on the run for about 2 months, she is correct.
@@janetmyles8764 But if you look at the wedding episode iit is captioned Originally Aired July 11, 1980. That was a Friday. Luke came out of the water and running with Laura the following Monday July 14th and that's when the running began.
No it was in June... Jennifer wanted to always be a June bride... She said so herself when everyone was waiting at the hospital. Remember when Doc. Rick was going to operate on the Quartmaine baby? PS on his heart remember guys.
@@kathylanda681 Yes, but plans changed. Don't you remember, Luke snuck away from the fireworks display to copy the black book contents before the wedding to have something on Frank Smith to confront him on the wedding day. Bobbie switched places with Luke shooting off the fireworks. It was the Fourth of July. So Luke and Jennifer's wedding couldn't happen in June.
Hutch is being really creepy saying whether he stays or not depends on LnL since he feels so close to them. Red flag! Alarm bells! Danger Will Robinson!

I love that carpet bag!!! Those inanimates are such a huge part of their story...the black book, the sticky door, the carpet bag....
This is the real laura. Bubbly and so sweet Dec 4 2024
@neaners613 I know... I am SOOOOOO sorry! It is impossible to turn off. People just stop sleeping once they start viewing.
Laura has found a mother substitute in Mrs. Whitaker. It's funny that they ever thought she was a hit woman.
I wish I lived in Beechers Corners! It's so relaxing and simple. LMM
@Chesapeake Bay ...just like Luckenbach, Texas!🇨🇱
The quintessential sleepy town. Very Brigadoon-like.

Mrs. Whitaker sorta reminds me of "Mrs Garrett" (Charlotte Rae, 'Facts of Life' sitcom).
She does!
Watching them...I want a love like this. With passion, fire and adventure....Iooihh, and the way they LOOK at each other!
This is one of my favorite episodes!!!!
It's so funny, I just noticed how much she looks like Lesley with that dark wig on. LOL!
I thought so too, she was casted perfectly as Leslie's daughter.

They sent him off to retirement with such a bad story line and he deserved to much better. It's really sad.

Well in order to have Laura, you have to have Genie. Thank you Genie. Love. Rosie

This is so crazy.. Beachers Corners used to be a hokey southern style farm town with southern accents and all .. lol 😂
Yes. I used to live in Alabama as a child. I have lived in Michigan since 1994 and I still have a Southern Accent.
Laura’s wig is too much 😇
Ugh...if it wasn't clear as to why Hutch is trying to be so close to Luke and Laura, he'd be completely weird and annoying.

They actually talk just like one of my friends from Western New York. It's not quite southern--it's hard to explain. But---country

OH YEAH... do that please!!!!!!!!!
No its not I still have hope that gh will return to some of its former glory
Very well put! ITA!
Omg that wig IS Lesley hair as someone commented lol
How many nicknames does TG use for GF.
These days with survellance and the internet, you couldnt disappear like that
@currdeb What story? It's rude to leave who out?
I am confused holly.. your channel page says you are 22... hardly able to know or undersand what GH's former glory actually is.. no?
a bit longer.
but then again Laura and scott got married in July and didn't Luke and jennifer have theirs set for then too? Oh I'm so confused!!
They were supposed to get married around Scott and Laura's anniversary.I think the scene @ Wyndam's said it originally aired on 8/6.
