Every one of the women shown have perfect chins. I’d like to see one with women over 60 with several types of facial structures, weights and lines. We still want to look younger too but I’m afraid a bob would just point to my slightly saggier cheeks. Easy to make these young perfect ladies look great. Show your talent on some of us old broads!

I’ve had very long hair all my life and recently got it cut to a shoulder length Lob I love it and keep it slightly wavy however just because your over40 doesn’t mean you have to have shorter hair I’m 60 and often dye my hair rose gold and it looks even better with my Lob hairstyle

I have long hair almost to my waist.. i dont want to cut it all off just to look older.. iam told i look late 20s to early 30s by many pple...i turned 50 this year...and get compliments alot..i dont see why a older woman should cut all her hair off just cause shes getting older.. and i dont have kids sooo... @@devonbrooks283 Mine has been purple off and on since I was 17. Most recently from last summer until I stopped refreshing it in April. Mine is almost to my butt. My hair stylist moved away but comes back once a month and I thought I was bored with purple so I've stripped it with clarifying shampoo (she missed our May appt) But now my remaining bottles glare at me from the shelf. It's SOOOOOO tempting to just say F it and go back to purple. But lately it seems every woman over the age of 35 in my city has purple hair. My rebellious streak won't let me do it. Same ladies who made fun of me every other time I played with fun colors too. I am literally rebelling by going for a more natural look. How pathetic is that? I may have her do either teal or lilac money pieces though. I can't help myself.

I get what you're sayin'. 💯 Due to the expense I don't currently have my extensions in, but for a few years I wore "oil slick" utilizing long blonde extensions that I would have colored teal, royal blue, deep magenta, and purple. It was beautiful and I turn 52 in June. If I could afford it I'd still be wearing the "oil slick" look.🦚

All these hairstyle look good in a salon but the point is once you get back home and wash your hair it never looks the same. Neither do we have time to make it look the same. Half of these styles won't even suit wavy or curly hair...
“All you have to do is…” yeah, not going to do that, which is why I paid you. Blow out curly hair?? Not unless you want a frizzy mess. One damp or humid trip to the car from the salon and that doo is history. I feel you.

If you have issues with frizz then there are different types of keratin treatments. I blow wavy and curly hair out everyday and I have clients who blow their own hair out with a one-step dryer when they wash it or if it's too curly use the right products and coil it and diffuse it. A working hairspray and the right products can help protect your hair from the humidity. No stylist or treatment is going to be able to help you if you aren't willing to put in the work at home. I mean you don't go get a facial and expect for your face to be perfect without any at home maintenance right? Your hair is the same
I have so many disaster haircut stories that I won’t let anyone cut my hair unless their own hair is similar in curl level & texture.
I always wished my hairdresser could come to my house every morning and style it!!! I never could get it to look like she did!

I've watched many hairstyle videos and the thing that gets me infuriated is that most hairstylists in these videos promote short hair style for women over 50, especially over 60. Why? Most women with short hairstyles, have to maintain those hairstyles, which means going to the hairdresser every 4 or 5 weeks (max) in order to maintain the style. Is that their plan? Most people in that range are on fixed income so why promote short hair all the time? If age is just a number, than why not promote longer hairstyles or long hair? Most women would appreciate having a different look for various occasions. Like grocery shopping, one looks one way, but going to a fancy restaurant, one would look different and maybe more elegant than just a casual look. I wish I could have hair that is down to my tush but at least right now, it's past my shoulders (and hopefully growing more) and I'm 60. Thanks for the video.

I love the Bob look it just looks cute, I have let my hair grow and it's naturally grey and I get alot of compliments so imbrace my hair as a 58 year old. So whatever look you like imbrace it.
K, I’m almost 40 with thick semi wavy hair. Was looking for something a little different but keeping the length, and something other than having to color my hair every 6 weeks for grays. I’m also a Mom of 2 with a husband as well so my time is limited in front of the mirror. I didn’t see anything here I liked, reminded me of the 90’s a lot. Suggestions would be great.

Exactly, I don't know who decide longer hair is only for those under 40. My long curl straight hair complete my look. I also color my hair because I'm not ready to embrace the grays.
I dont think length can make you look older, but cut and style can.
Long flat hair with no layers or pulled tightly can drag your face down.
The more flow and bounce your hair has, the higher your skin and jaw line will appear.

My husband trims my hair for me, no hairdresser yet has ever listened to what I asked for, I wanted my hair just trimmed for my eldest daughter's wedding and I got one inch all over, I was so upset and angry, my daughter was upset too. I'm not having it cut ever again, hubby can trim it if it gets unruly, at least he listens!

I went through a lot of shorter haircuts when I was younger, when my jawline was tighter and my neck was smooth. Now I'm pushing 50 I am wearing my hair longer with layers to distract from that and, honestly to rebel. Im told I have this wrong, upside down. I don't understand. I just feel the older I get the less feminine shorter hair looks on me, but maybe it's just me. I have a long oval face. No Botox, fillers or facelifts.

Im mid 40s and have thin hair down to the bottom of my shoulder blades.
I've found myself putting it up in buns and ponytails everyday.
(Mostly because I work in food where I have to keep my hair up for health code) but also because I dont have time to style it.
So Im finding myself wanting to cut it.

I am 48 years old and my hair is down to my waist and my color is black, black. It is amazing I look younger. Almost all hair styles advice you when you go over 40 to cut your hair and color in lighter color i don't know why ???

Im 34 years old and I love my long jet black hair and I will only trim my hair no way I'll colour or cut it short.
For some, it all depends on skin color and face shape.
If you have more peach and olive tones with a rounder or oval face, black can make you look youthful.
If you have more pale or yellower skin with a more squared or long face, black hair can make you look older and highlight age.
By all means, if you are happy with color and look, rock it!
You should be the one who is happy with how you look... and no one else.

That's what I do. Regular care at home and I don't experiment with hair colour as my hair is deep dark brown, almost black. It's long and shiny despite my late 40-ties

Not true! A lot of bobs look fantastic on curly hair. If you have the person cut it correctly and know how to style it yourself. You also have to make sure that your face shape and bone structure even look good with a Bob first though.
