On October 15, 1991, Governor Mario Cuomo described himself to the audience at 92nd Street Y as “an ordinary New Yorker” who grew up on “asphalt streets” playing stickball in Queens who, like many, struggles to keep his faith. During a panel titled “Who Is God?”, Cuomo’s speech touched upon the trying times, past and present, that test the faith of Americans, and why we ultimately hold true to our beliefs. The speech was later included in 1994’s More Than Words: The Speeches of Mario Cuomo. This is the first time this audio is being released to the public.

I'm watching this in August 2020, after the news broke about Andrew Cuomo and sexual harrassment. Damn...Andrew doesn't seem anything as great as his father.
He spent millions of NY tax dollars defending water pollution in Federal Court. What a hypocrite.
How did this main raise two evil and despicable sons?

I am a huge fan of Mario Cuomo! Andrew should have Mario in his podcast. Andrew should do his own 92 Y. I loved seeing Mario at News Nation! Chris and Andrew with Mario on camera in one or both of their podcasts would be great to watch !

That was so worth listening to. He was a genius. Such a humble man and what politicians should strive to be. His sons are definitely going to follow in his footsteps and that is one consolation. A wonderful Italian American family.

I’d like to think like father, like son..... but I stick to the fact that “the Apple does not fall far from the tree.” The N.Y. Governor is destroying the state and creating plentiful amounts of money for the UHaul company as businesses and families flee to another state. No..... his son is corrupt and lining his pockets as I am sure their father did on behalf of tax payer citizens. His other son is no better.... publishing phony news for the masses too lazy to research simple truth for themselves. Truth so accessible, not one person is without excuse to know it. I, myself, may soon be a refugee from this cursed state called NY, cause I will more than likely have to flee from communism and evil. So, while you listen to the former Governor and think that he is such a great guy, just ponder on the fact the his son has also approved third term abortions and put your head right back in the sand. There are different people in this world..... those who stand for what is right, those who do evil and approve it, and finally, those who remain silent. Figure out which one your are and examine yourself. We will all answer for our actions at the judgment.... all three types of people.
