Looks at videos title: MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA | Characters | Official Gameplay Series - Part 2 OFFICIAL GAMEPLAY SERIES. Looks at moronic comment. Sighs.
At not point in the title does it say profiles either. It highlighted the characters abilities and what they could do with said abilities in the gameplay. And they explicitly said the that was what this videos was going to be in the last video. So no, definitely not clickbait.
During part one they said the next video will take a look at combat profiles and squad combat. This video....combat profiles and then how you can use your squad...fit pretty well.
it's a woman, a black dude and some aliens. This is just bioware trying to be diverse. I'm not here for anti-sjw garbage dude. Cora got a bad haircut and that's about the only thing wrong with this squad.
There was a Bioware dev. meeting with fans two years before, in that meeting one SJW girl stood up and asked the developers to make the female characters literally ugly and 'thick'. Seems like Bioware took it to the heart.
Kinda feel that being able to change your class whenever you want kinda ruins some replay ability. Part of the fun of starting a new character was choosing a different class (Edit) We get it "just focus on the class you want to play as and dont touch the others" so many negative and toxic people trying to correct a point of a view. Looks like asking questions about something you're going to buy and seeing if its worth the money is such a bad thing now a days. Nobody is complaining or saying the devs are wrong people are just giving their 2 cents
megaman121000 actually it has wayyy more replay ability than the original trilogy if there's a level cap and besides I'd like to adapt to the situation and change profiles on the fly.
How does not having to replay with a new class. Increase its replay, Even if you wanna go through with new Dialogue choices and such. You've already played with all the weapons and tools. So its not new at all.
Phoenix Hunter Classes are part of the gameplay. If you constantly change to different classes "on the fly", then you're already experiencing the only gameplay the game has to offer. Are you seriously going to try the game again for more than 7 times if all you'll probably do is choose different decisions than you did before and that's it? Playing the game with only sticking to one certain class allows you to play the game over and over starting with different classes to experience at the start of a new game for a new style of gameplay. Playing the game constantly changing to the different classes "on the fly" allows you to experience everything each class provides and thus taking away any new feeling to experience in a new game. You'd pretty much be playing the same way over and over in the new games, making it much more boring than it should be. Thus removing most of the replayability.
I trust you understand that by that same token, one could also call playing the game six/seven times over and hitting every story beat all over again just to play as an Adept when they were once an Engineer, say, pretty boring in and of itself.
william farmer actually it would be new because they had restricted weapons to classes for part of the trilogy. Also if theres no in game restriction there would still be a certain way to play a class with certain weapons and armors. Like using a shotgun and melee boosting armor when playing as a vanguard or using a sub machine gun with a power boost attachment when playing as an adept. If that wasnt enough you had to choose squad mates whose powers complimented your class and if you replayed with a different class then you could choose different squad mates and then see what happens with them. But im sure the new game will still be fun so im happy that its coming out
"Peebee...go and make company to Cora". I will be hitting the field with that Krogan and the purple alien. For romance purposes, Doctor T'Perro (I hope this is an option), or simply pass on that.
We had 3 games to get to know them. Don't play the nostalgia card without getting a chance to learn the new characters. Don't be that guy. Give them a chance
They even cut a Salarian squadmate somewhere in the development. It's 6 though for sure. Unfortunately Quarians and their fans got the middle finger. So unfair and stupid.
Haven't seen one new or good argument for months. People on here are like broken records: One: Sarah doesn't look pretty. I'm going to complain even though I can change her face in game to make her suit my attraction. Two: I'm going to compare ME:A to DA:I even though they are created by the SAME people! But I'm going to complain anyways and cry about another game that has nothing to do with this one. Three: ME3 ending was shit. I'm going to keep saying that until I find something else to cry about. Four: Why aren't they showing me enough story and character?! I know I'll just complain if they show too much, but I still want to see more of the story, dialogue, and characters so I can bitch more about small things. Five: I'm going to constantly tell people that this game is trash and I'm not buying it. Yet, I'll continue to waste my time with giving the game I hate ( already ) attention.
xXLunaXx honestly I agree. I'm very excited for this game and I thought a lot of others were too. Another thing you didn't mention was how everyone says that the AI is shit and that the hud looks really bad, when in reality the AI was being distracted by the teammates more so than the pathfinder, and could still be changed up a bit. And the hud looks good in my opinion.
Doobie Scoo it is very annoying. They take the fun and hype out of this game. It seems that bioware is really trying, I will give them that. They are trying to give us something fresh, interesting, and somewhat linked to the original story. But negative people won't give them credit. I feel like none of us should call the game shit without even playing it yet. I honestly believe the game looks fantastic. I love the details and the characters so far. Now, I can understand people being upset once they've sat down and played it, but it is too soon to judge.
All the people in the comment section should just go and piss off. I never swear but this section has actually make me want to physically slap some of the pretentious brats that complain about every little bloody thing. They are the worst of the gaming community and should not have the right to speak. To those who share their opinions and criticism in a helpful way: you are the best of the community. You want the best game possible and you care for the developers. Thank you. Sorry, I went on a little rant there but I totally agree with you. I'm Witherleader and this is my favourite comment on this video.
"TIM sends Shepard to the Human colony of Horizon, saying he believes there’s a collector attack in progress. At the start of the mission, Shepard comes to Mordin and asks if he has a way to avoid being paralyzed by the collectors. The camera cuts to an isolation box showing a collector bug, and Mordin says, “Yes!” What? Mordin joined the team long after Freedom’s Progress. And you never go back there. How could he have possibly obtained this sample? Do the Collectors leave evidence behind or not? In a details-based universe, this is simply not good enough. Heck, in any universe this isn’t good enough. “Oh no we have an insurmountable problem oh wait nevermind it’s over” is not storytelling. The writer couldn’t even be bothered to give us some lazy technobabble. The story has already established that the collectors leave no trace, which presented this obstacle where we knew they were capable of some kind of mass-paralysis, but we didn’t know how it worked or how to defend against it. The story then resolved this difficulty entirely off-screen, without comment, and without Mordin even leaving his lab. Mordin might as well have put on a wizard hat and cast “Mordenkainen’s Magical Bug Repellant” on the party. There’s a cutscene where we see Kashley is here on Horizon. Apparently the Alliance finally sent some forces to help these colonists, which means they aren’t apathetic and impotent after all. Except, they sent exactly one soldier and some broken guns, which means they really, really are. The earlier conversation with Anderson made it clear that, “Those people went out there to get away from the Alliance.” And now the Alliance is here. Look, you can absolutely make a game about human colonists that have effectively seceded from the human government and then need their help. That’s a great concept for a plot. But the game refuses to explain what’s going on, why the colonists dislike the Alliance, what events caused this dispute, or how the two sides feel about each other now. This is one of the driving forces of the plot and the writer simply refuses to explain any of it. Which, fine. You want to make a popcorn game that hand-waves all that boring world building bullshit and focuses on style and action. Then just pick some excuse and stick with it. It shouldn’t be hard to keep your facts straight when you have so few. But no. The Alliance can’t help the colonists except they are. Sort of. The Collectors never leave any evidence except they do. Somehow. Shepard is a hero and an icon except he’s not. This story manages to somehow be both vague and contradictory." THIS IS THE ENTIRE GAME.
Mass effect 1- 6 squad mates and 1 dies Mass effect 2- 10 squad mates (then more with dlc) Mass effect 3- 6 squad mates ( then one more with dlc. Mass effect andromeda- 6 squad mates (dlc?) What I'm trying to say is people complaining about 6 squad mates not being enough is ridiculous because we know they will add more in dlc and we'll probably pick up more within the game itself. One more thing. How is the game sjw, hear me out, because we have a black dude and a chick with short hair? Are we forgetting Jacob and jack from me2? But regardless of that fact I personally don't think their looks are so bad to a point of not purchasing the game because of that fact alone. And this is just the squad. There is an entire crew on your ship and other people in this new galaxy that they won't show us before the game is released. I want this game because it looks like I'll have some fun shootin shit and I want to explore a new galaxy in the ME universe. But I do want to hear other people's opinions if you can actually type without being too edgy 😂 let's be civil.
Because people have to find something wrong with it to give them a false sense of superiority. I think the game will at least be pretty good; and even if a couple of the squad mates are... questionably designed... I still think their characters will be fleshed out as always. Bioware has been doing this kind of thing forever, I don't think they're gonna screw up horribly now.
+Dom Morrison Generally? Everything they can. How the characters look, how dumb the AI look, the lack of gameplay, the marketing, some of the developers, combat, how they aren't making it so only hardcore ME fans can understand it etc. It's really annoying lol
+Dom Morrison Yeah I know. I'll try find an example, wish me luck... I found one but just scroll down. Some are too long to copy and paste. "If you show more a few times you'll start getting annoyed though: so you finished killing the RPG element from Mass Effect you suck pseudo-bioware." - Cregennan
This looks great, if you're a real gamer, you will play the game and then judge it, I'm sick and tired of these cancerous comments. Looking forward to dive into Andromeda :)
agreed. I unlike many others don't judge the game before I play it. just seems stupid to me tbh. you can never tell if a game can be good or bad without experiencing it for yourself, personally I'm WAY ready for Andromeda, the people that judge it before they play they are missing out
That would be true if everyone could afford to spend money on every single game, but they cant. They have to make judgements based on info. given prior to a games release to justify potentially wasting money
The Best Raptor Ever: King Andrea Bargnani Yes, I can agree with that, I myself am that kind of person and even though i love Mass Effect series, i won't buy that on release, because I don't have money to buy every game for a regular price , I'm just telling that people shouldn't be so... I don't know, offensive? Game looks promising, but they don't like women with short hair, so they won't play it? It's weird. I read a lot of about games, search for opinions etc, but the decision is simple - I play it or I don't, that's it, I'm not wasting time hating every video about the game :)
Right?! I was anticipating something mid next week at best. Especially since in about 30 minutes some of the previews from editors is being released. I know IGN is releasing a preview article at 9am EST (6am PST) today.
The majority of comments I've read are actually people criticizing other people than people actually criticizing the game. You are a bunch of damned hypocrites. Also there is nothing wrong with criticizing a game, grow a quad.
You see the comments defending the game because they are the ones with most upvotes. The whiners and complainers land at the bottom(not meaning that all criticsm is whining)
or people just overreacting and being sensitive. the worst comments i saw when scrolling down before were fair criticism about the squad mates designs, which is kind of important, and the possibility for very overpowered characters.
GeorgeMonet Criticizing a game is not wrong, when you have actually played it. To the ones who criticize the design of the characters... Well, I don't like Cora, but the others look great...
Good lord, I didn't realize how many people relied on virtual characters and relationships in games like this to get themselves off... Maybe take a cold shower and then rewatch? I thought it looked pretty spectacular
Nothing but your stupid projection. How about come up with a valid point for once in your life. Not everyone thinks exactly as you do. You probably belong to the whiny bitch brigade that thinks Bayonetta is sexist because it has an attractive lead. People like looking at beauty not head shaved hags.
AHotFridge when romances and building in game relationships is such a staple of the franchise it's not surprising that people are mad that none of the characters are visually appealing
Ah don't worry. These are all lonely virgin neckbeards crying. They don't have much, so they have to cry about minor things. And if you look at the like/dislike ratio it's pretty clear that nearly all people like it.
Yeah, because apparently these people are not satisfied when they get what they asked for: Gameplay. Bioware gives us an entire series on the gameplay. People judge Pre-alpha (presumed) gameplay. NOT. FINAL. What's next, their railing on them for having scanning system from ME2 & 3? Oh wait... (It's going to happen, just watch) Gah, I wanted some legit opinions, not this whining behavior. It's going to rub off and that is not a good thing.
Problem is, people equate their personal opinions as being the black and white judgement of what is good or bad. WAH I DONT LIKE THE WAY SOMEONE LOOKS THIS GAME IS STUPID WOULD NEVER BUY IT WAAAHHHHH. It's ridiculous the conclusions people come to about a 4 minute video about a 40+ hour game.
I watch the videos and get really excited, I'm loving it... And then I come down to the comments and I feel sorry for game developers working at this time, because god fucking damn it, bitching apparently became a sport and I didn't know it
I totally agree. This game looks magnificent, and Bioware is going above and beyond with their marketing and gameplay demos. But the internet is an increasingly toxic place, so no matter how amazing a game is, illogical nitpicking is inevitable. Just ignore those people. Their opinions can't ruin the experience for the rest of us, no matter how hard they try.
What a great squad: discounted Wrex, ugly shemale , Sera V2 and twilek. And I thought that "bioware" can't fall any lower in companions departament after DAI.
How mature, spitting insult after insult, it seems you are the one who is missing arguments. Not only that you are stucked in the past, your mind is also 12 years old. You should grow up, you will be glad, you mother who is feeding and clothing you wil be glad. If you accept new things, you will see, that you made mistake, relying on ''good old things'' from the past.
+Lethal Truth 1: We have yet to see the dialogue wheel in full action, so I wouldn't be too antsy about calling it just another shooter game yet. The plot has been mostly uncovered, and the people at Bioware are merely keeping the major spoilers away while we are being shown the combat. Mind you, they brought the Mako back, and are giving players more exploration. We won't be confined to just two hubs like in Mass Effect 3 either. From the looks of it, Mass Effect Andromeda looks like a great game so far, and I fail to see why it is getting so much hate. 2: More sales on the game would be good for Bioware, more players too. If Mass Effect Andromeda is going to be filled with people that want a 'shoot 'em up' game, then they will play the multiplayer, and the RPG people will play the singleplayer. It's really not that big of a deal on whoever joins, as long as people are having fun. As I said for #1, we have yet to see major videos on the plot, exploration, or dialogue. Just hold out for now, man. 3: The classless system is actually something that I've been looking forwards to. I'm not sure if I can say the same for the rest of the players, but it is just my opinion. During my playthroughs of the trilogy on my computer, I wanted to play through all the classes, but I never really wished to be locked into just one skill-set. I thought it was pretty neat to have engineer abilities while I was infiltrator, or adept abilities while I was a vanguard. Now they made a class system that allows for easy switching between all of them, which could be very fun in the game. Again, we'll just have to wait and see how this game turns out. 4: So far, I have yet to notice political correctness in the Mass Effect franchise, especially that of Andromeda. You can kill enemies in the Mass Effect trilogy, whether those be human, synthetic, or alien enemies, if it was a politically correct title, we'd be shooting little more than flowers. Besides, look at the ESRB rating. Blood, Nudity, Strong Language, Strong Sexual Content, and Violence. Try to find 'political correctness' in any one of those things. Moving on, the appearance of the characters shouldn't matter unless Bioware is going to be parading around some character that looks like a landwhale in N7 armor. Look back to Jack and Jacob. Were you throwing a fit when you had to see a rampaging biotic with a bald head? Or even an African American Cerberus operative (that was damn near useless in ME2)? Feel free to expand upon your arguments, as this debate could prove to be highly entertaining.
These comments about the women being ugly must just be the vocal minority and not representative of the community as a whole, because I thought Tali was the most popular female romance option. ....And she has a bucket on her head.
I wish Tali were available to Femshep. The only other option was Liara who would have been fine if she was still Mass Effect 1 Liara but Mass Effect 2/3 Liara seems lost, like the writer's wanted to completely rewrite the character but had no idea how. She's a hot mess, but not in a good way. The thought of Femshep and Garrus makes me want to hurl.
GZLAnnihilation yes.i played the game and i've heard the banter but it felt lifeless and dull.i enjoyed da origins more.and i liked mass effect 2 better than 3.must be my age talking idk..
Mrc Nitu Most of the characters in Dragon Age are in their mid to late 30s and act like it so. Not sure how you considered any of that to be "stereotypical teenager"
I like everyone talking about how they want more characters. Quality > Quantity. Especially when it comes to individual story / character progression for the followers. Not to mention the voice acting. I loveee character building and progression. Lets also hope for some amazing banter between them.
Space junk They are saying how there was 6 characters in the first game, and now there's 6 again in this one, and people are whining about it. I mean obviously DLC for another character may come later anyway.
Wait... only 6 crew member? Anyone remember Mass Effect 2? Man, those were the days. Still hyped even though the crew members don't appeal to me at all. hopefully they'll grow on me.
don't play ignorant, we've seen enough of the characters to know they are at face value the weakest cast in any Bioware game to date. which is why he said he hopes the characters grow on him.
Really? ME 1 and 3 were far superior with their fewer Squad Members, it gave each individual much more time to develop and interact. In ME 2, the Squad Members almost always just stood there and listened while Sheppard was talking, sometimes it just looked and felt stupid. Compared to ME 3, where Squad members often offered insight, actually participated in Dialogues, and interacted with each other. Much better than ME 2.
I have to agreed. Despite ME2 being nearly perfect for me, the fewer amount of squad mates ultimately proved to be better throughout the course of the game.
While I'm digging the gameplay and everything,I thought this video would be about the characters. You know like the title said? Edit: I see you changed it now. So will the next video actually be about the characters then?
It would take A LOT for this game to disappoint me. I've been playing 31 years, but this is easily one of the most anticipated games of my life. Also, I think it would be premature to judge it from launch. Surely like the other ME games, there will be a plethora of tasty DLC to devour over the next year or so. My life is currently revolving around this game.
I find it funny and sad how a lot of people are bashing this game even though most of the complaints are really stupid. Here are the biggest complaints I see: 1) The replay value of this game isn't going to be that good since you can change your class whenever you want. 2) This game looks too much like DA:I (Dragon Age: Inquisition) 3) The faces suck for all the human characters 4) ME 2 had way more characters. 6 is too little. 5) Why can't they just make this a better ME 2? Here are my responses to these complaints (WARNING: very long and has little bit of ranting but I had to get this off my chest): 1) If you only replayed the ME games for trying new classes then good for you. Most people replayed the games to either try new romances, make different decisions, or to play it on a harder difficulty. So just because you can play any class at any time doesn't mean the replay value will be worse. In fact it might be even better because in the previous games once you picked your class you had to take squad mates with you that could cover your weaknesses. Meaning that you might have to take that one character you don't like just to make the next mission easier. Now with this new class switching system you can take anyone you want and make your character the one to cover for the weakness your other squad-mates have. 2) I sorta see what people mean by this. Graphically speaking there somewhat similar and yes your character does walk around in the same camera angle as DA: I. However that's where the similarities end (in my opinion). The combat is completely different because unlike DA: I you aren't 100% reliant on your abilities to win fights. Mostly you'll just need your jet pack for re-positioning and abilities can be used to just speed it up. In DA: I you were had to have your mages spamming barrier and your warriors to spamming taunts just to survive the harder difficulties. In fact the combat was the weakest part in all of DA: I because of how repetitive it got (you never changed your tactics ever). If how the diplomacy/decisions work the same as DA : I then I'll be happy with that because I really enjoyed how my choices not only effect parts of the story, but also how my party members thought of me. Approval/Disapproval from squad-mates should have been in ME games to begin with. 3) Ok yes we all know that the female ryder character doesn't look all that great and sure maybe that might be the case with all the human characters, but to fair all the ME games before had terrible human faces. Shepard always look either way to bored during conversations or had a huge as grin. Miranda was probably the only human with face that didn't look ugly when talking to her. However they can still fix the faces of the character here in ME: A before release. Actually come to think of it almost every Bioware game has terrible faces. 4) Yes I agree that 6 is a little small, but ME 1 also had 6 squad-mates and they were all great (well most if you hate kaiden and/or ashley). ME 2 so far has the biggest roster, but I think that was a weakness of the game. I loved all of the characters you could have in ME 2, but too many of them felt the same combat wise making me really only want to take my favorite characters with me while forgetting the other (Garrus, Tali, Grunt, and Mordin were 4 I would switch between). DA: I also had this problem too because no character had any unique abilities till half way through the game (Making me take Iron Bull, Varric, and Vivian almost on every quest) Yet what ever decision I made would have them show approval/disapproval which made me understand their personality and character more (doesn't mean I still liked them more). 5) This is the stupidest one so far. ME 2 was a great game (I would say its may favorite out of the 3), but it had a lot problems. I found the romancing to be very weak in every game, Yes I still enjoyed it but by the end of it I felt like the only reward was "sex" scenes (ME 3's Citadel DLC made it a lot better). It didn't feel like you had any real time to have a relationship with them, but instead it felt more like which character did I want to bang before the end of the game. DA: I had a lot of relationship moments. For instance when I romanced Josephine I was able to talk to her before a huge battle, I had romantic dance with her after meeting her sister and saving the queen, and I even had a duel with someone so I wouldn't have to worry about losing her. And after all that my "sex" scene with her was just us cuddling on a couch talking about how happy we were. I want to see ME: A top that and maybe even go beyond. Almost every biotic and tech ability was really weak in ME: 2 (except for charge and warp) favoring more combat skills like ammo abilities, grenades (which was stupid of them to make into an ability instead of keeping it how ME 1 had), and any aggressive damage abilites. Using probes instead of the mako made the game faster when finding resources but this also made it very boring to do. Lastly is that almost every location in ME 2 was boring to explore. Sure there might have been a few locations that were cool and fun, but a lot of it felt recycled. The last mission in ME 1 was way better then ME 2 or 3 (though I will admit that the boss fight in 2 was the best of the 3). Leveling felt pointless until you got an ability maxed. ME 1 felt really good leveling up because you had a lot of options of what you wanted to level while in ME 2 you only had 4 to 5 abilities to use. With ME: A allowing players the option to freely change classes whenever you want to helps make the combat feel less repetitive the whole game. There that is almost everything I wanted to say. Let's just wait for the game to come out and see if its going to be good or bad. I'll be pre-ordering the game so I don't have a lot of bias reviews telling what is good or bad about the game before I can form my own opinion.
"This game looks too much like DA:I (Dragon Age: Inquisition)" That is fair criticism. Dragon Age: Inquisition was a terrible game where everything was wrong except for the visuals.
Well if that's your opinion of the DA:I then ok, but just cause it close to DA:I graphically doesn't mean that its bad. In fact it looks way better, but we'll have to wait and see when it comes.
MechAce1337 give me something that looks objectively better in this game in comparison to da:i. the backgrounds look rehashed and underdetailed, the animations ARE rehashed from what we've seen, the characters have less detail in both aesthetics and in animation than in da:i, etc. the visual effects, like biotics and elemental effects, are similar in style to alot of the mage animations in da:i, the only difference being the pov. bonus: compare what we've seen of this game and da:i towards competitors in terms of graphics and stability of engine. Frostbite has proven to have more limitations in games that have used it and fails to compare with UR4 and CryEngine3).
Sorry it took me so long to respond to this (long day at work). You sir are the first person to give me any form of evidence when talking to me and also didn't call me a name that a 10 year old would use on xbox live (still some hope for the internet). Yes I agree that the effects look similar, but to be fair that isn't bad either since that was the only reason I played mage (also cause all the other classes had abilities that just repeat them selves like how many taunt and knock pack skills warriors get) and that they had the most variety in builds too. If I have to say what looks better in this game then DA:I I would have to say that character animations look far smoother (I played on PS4 so I don't know if DA:I is better on Xbox or PC). DA:I had 30 fps during cut-scenes and conversations with NPC's. I don't know if what there showing is going to be just as smooth on all systems or just certain ones, but we'll know that when it comes out. The combat in DA:I also would lag some times during combat if too much was happening on the screen. Hopefully ME:A will be better. As for backgrounds I would have to disagree. We haven't seen that many locations yet so I can't defend it well enough (except that we can all agree that the one location were hexagon platforms come up while you walk looked fucking awesome), but DA:I's background was a little bland to me. besides the Hinterlands, the Storm Coast, and that one snow location with a few dragons the rest of the locations were pretty boring. I hardly can remember any of the cool/unique quests from any of them unless it was something like fighting a dragon or fighting a hard boss fight. Redcliff was very disappointing to see (when I heard that Redcliff was here I thought about the DA:O (Dragon Age: Origin) version, but this one was just sort of a small lake town). Sorry I'm getting off point. What I'm trying to say is that DA:I had great environments with a few cool moments, but was it. Those few cool moments was all that got us to like the locations. take them away and it was very boring. I know you didn't mention it in your comment but the combat (though with similar effects as DA:I) still looks better and more interactive (Unless you were a mage which lets be honest was really the only fun combat class). With so many abilities and a jet pack, your going to find your own play style and maybe even a new playstyle that you like to use. Now what I'm going to expect from people after the game comes out is how to optimize your build, which is another stupid thing to do, the same thing happened to DA:I. I saw so many people complain about how weak and shit some abilities were compared to others. Say for instance that pull biotic ability might end up being the worst ability in the game (Damage and Control wise), but could also be the most fun. I mean who doesn't like to be a Jedi mixed with Scorpion from Mortal combat. So to summarize my answer to you: DA:I had an FPS (Frames per second not First person shooter (You have no idea how many people have asked to remind others about that)) issue during cut-scenes and character interactions. DA:I also had an issue were the emotions that characters gave could sometimes look really really bad at times (mostly from the main character). Finally, DA:I while it did have a lot of memorable moments, majority of the time though the rest of the locations were very dull especially when you had to return there many times for simple mundane quests. Yes I do believe so far ME:A looks way better (for now), but until the game comes out I can't defend it if it looks bad, because they could dumb it down before launch. Like I said before when the game comes out and I finish it, is when I'll form my full opinion of the game.
The devs are sjw, they made the female characters all unattractive on purpose, one of the devs gets a hard on talking about how he hates white people. No doubt the game is full of their propaganda, my reasons to hate it. Fuck white people, well this white person says fuck you and your game.
Definitely. Having a specific role for the whole game is a huge part of.. well, ROLE playing games. I can see why they want to give more freedom but that's not what RPGs are supposed to be
yes, but they don't want you to replay the whole game again with different class. They want you to play the same character and buy mode $10-15 DLC's with more side quests... and if you get bored then you can change armour and'/or hair style for only $10 more ;)
if you prefer the old systems then put some restrictions on yourself and only lvl up the skills that fits the class you chose to play as, and use the profile as well, a pure adept in game use bioitcs to move about instead of the jetpack how awesome is that
Great gameplay and I'm excited for exploration video. But I'm still hoping for a dialogue video. We have seen little to nothing showcasing it. The conversations are Mass Effect and the lack of it really is getting to me, and has me worried a bit about the focus of this game. I really want see characters' sitting down talking, that I loved from series. That will be the most exciting thing I could see at this point, and clear or confirm my worries about the direction of this game.
Omg are you guys really that dense? Stop complaining about how you don't get to see any dialogues or story or character developments in these videos... It is called "GAMEPLAY SERIES". You will only get information about gameplay in this series. I don't think they want to spoil their story telling via video series, and get prosecuted by sensitive gamers. Also if you want to know more about the characters bio, then probably wait for another video series like "STORY SERIES" or something, when they release it. Or just wait for the game to release and you will get tons of info the next day about all the characters and all the story. You don't have to be "FIRST" to play the game.
***** What? First, you don't have to spoil the story to show of the fucking the tweaked conversation system. Second, conversations, in my opinion, are a very important gameplay elements for Mass Effect games and we been shown very little of it and that has me worried about focus of the games development. It's only been shown ONCE for, like 5 seconds. Third, all I asked for was more dialogue and you get fucking triggered, and act like I asked for the moon, when it is a STAPLE in Mass Effect games, calm the fuck down.
The Fiend's AI looked utterly useless. Overall the package seems pretty standard, but what's the point in a heavy enemy like that wandering back and forth doing absolutely nothing?
Depends on how their world-building goes. I'll reserve judgment on the world design until I can experience it properly, but I don't like the look of a promo video a month before release showing the combat AI glitching. This is hand-stitched video, should be the best they can offer.
TheZaeron the AI is most likely set on easy & they're probably on early parts of the game to showcase the abilities without your character being under fire
The Keeper You're suggesting that in easy mode AI pathing doesn't work? That tank enemies run away from you before you've dealt significant damage to them? That enemies switch to 'sitting duck' mode when you start firing at them? These aren't traditional easy mode features. Bioware must be more innovative than I give them credit for. If they want to showcase abilities and loadouts they need to demonstrate tactical utility, like what they did with the biotic charge at 2:05. In fact, tactics is what Mr. VO man is talking about the whole video. Tactics are nothing without something to respond to. If they want to showcase tactical utility of ability sets, make a full-pace clip of people tearing up a group of enemies, then slow motion to show how each favourites change and cool down use came together, and where a group might get caught out. Unless, of course, your combat doesn't work well enough for that, as we saw the last time we fought a Fiend, and the Pathfinder had to stand in front of the thing for about five seconds before it used its execute on him. Tl;dr they should either make a combat video or a pretty particle effects video. Atm their editing choices suggest one of those two doesn't work.
I don't mind the haircut Kora has but she just looks a little old, looks like a mom. If they would make her look younger I think a lot of the fan base would be happier considering bioware has built their franchise with the key component of squad mates that separated it from other rpgs and a lot of the ppl who made bioware successful were the 20-30 yr olds who bought it. Not trying to offend anyone, just a hit to the key component if the characters aren't that attractive to the larger audience making it that much harder to like the best part of mass effect which are it's characters. Take dragon age origins and the witcher 3, its is OK to have attractive female and male characters, just like a movie has attractive ppl. Witcher 3 and DAO were very successful bc they had all components of a good game AND gave you attractive characters to be with in game, an escape and form of entertainment, no need to relate it to real life as games are a form of ENTERTAINMENT and the biggest part of bioware games is the characters that you are supposed to genuinely like and find attractive, nothing wrong in that. Before coming to a brash judgement check the characters of DAI and then DAorigins (also witcher 3) and tell me why they were overall a better game than DAI, bc they filled in all essential parts of a great game but had the key part, characters you love to have around while playing the game.
she's suppose to be some kind of commando veteran and second in charge, i don't agree with making her look younger at all. i do think the haircut is absolutely ridiculous, i would have taken her with a buzzcut over that highlighted crap.
worst case just wait for mods, and just stay away from her, what if she ends up being the most lovable character ever? youll end up loving her looks as well
I don't like that you can switch between profiles. It makes you less immersed into the game, when you're pathfinder goes from a stealth biotic fighter, to a close range- shootgun wielding tank in an instant. That kills atmospheare and is a step in the wrong direction. I like to commit to one playstyle and really create a unique character that way. If I want to choose another playstyle I can always play the game again with another profile. So in that case, it takes away some of the replay-value aswell. Plus, in earlier games you had to choose you squadmates based upon which skills would go best with your choosen playstyle and create combos with your squad. Now its just kind off random.
Skyhunter you know you dont *need* to switch roles mid battle right? if it means that much to you then just dont build any of the other skill trees other than the one you want to play with that given playthrough of the game
*Xcgfrosty Bullshit excuse. The only fact the possibility exist is wrong and ruins everything. Role playing should directed by the game design, not by an auto-restriction the gamers decide to impose to themself because the game design is broken.
Not everyone believes as you do. I prefer Obsidians Tyranny over Pillars of Eternity specifically because it has no classes. I decide what I want to use and learn and shift my playstyle according to what I feel is effective.
thanatos5150 i'm sorry, i must have worded my response poorly. What i meant is that the "asari commando" title denotes the race and military position, as such Cora being a human could not be an :"asari":commando.
@Tasty Milk delight me the otaku god how to beat Action RPG like mass effect in 10 hours. have you ever play any mass effect at all? this troll practice could work in games like call of duty. but sorry this is mass effect.
Why are the enemies so sluggish? You seem to have incredible mobility with all the jumping and flying yet the enemies look like they are on rails. If they're are going to make it faster paced and jumpy then the enemies need to do this too. or at least be faster. Also, the enemies don't seem to have any abilities. This honestly doesn't look terrible exciting just dancing around enemies outside of cover.
upchuck42 To be fair, the guy in the video could just be playing on the easiest difficulty to show the community gameplay, and the combat profiles without difficulty.
As korbin Shepard mentioned , they are probably playing on the lowest difficulty to show the game without to much problem and all while giving people the time to understand what's going on.
Difficulty set to easy, easy parts of the game, haven't shown anything yet to be honest, only an overview of how everything works not a hardcore alien world where you will have to sweat it if you wanna survive, i bet there will be something like that.
Now I can be everything, like Rambo, you lose the identity of your player and the rest of your squad becomes unimportant, with no real significant purpose other than being infantry soldiers. Previous games showed us it was important which squadmates you choosed, based on two things, your own class and the mission/enemies. Now in this game it doesn't matter because you could basically cover every situation and tackle any enemy just by clicking another class in combat.
That whole Rambo thing only works in very-late game. It's not like you get to a skill point for all the profiles every time you level up. You'll have to spend a LONG time grinding in order to be able to cover every situation. On top of that, no profile abilities(including passives) will be active unless you are currently being that profile. So you won't be able to stack different profile passives together. Besides, this new system will allow players to come up with their own builds and further customize their characters to their playstyle.
only six Squad members? come on mon amie! I was expected to see more! like a quarian, a drell, a salarian, a prothean and perhaps maybe two more human squad mate.
Dunno why everyone is complaining about character appearances. In the entire Mass Effect trilogy, there wasn't a single character that I thought, GODDAMN, when I met them. No, I picked my romantic interests after learning about their backstories and interacting with them. Especially Liara. She was awkward and a geek if ever I met one. Easily my favorite character now. And krogans. Who can honestly say they didn't think krogans were weird-looking what with their humps or whatever. And they're suppose to be galaxy's most fierce race? But, goddamn if I didn't enjoy every single badass scene they were in and their headbutting. Maybe this game will turn out to be crap, but I'm definitely not gonna let appearances ruin it for me. Cause that's certainly not why I'm playing Mass Effect.
Preach. I actually don't know why people think they're ugly. I'm not an SJW btw. As long as it has rpg elements, good character design+story and fun gameplay, I could care less.
InsaneSpectre sure every game shows trailers like this, the character is over levelled and using gear and weapons way above where they are in the story arc. And the AI is not dynamic, they moved to higher ground there to gain an advantage and split up when the player got close. In the old mass effects they usually just ran straight at you and that's it. That said I would like the default 'normal' setting to be a challenge regardless.
InsaneSpectre that fiend enemy looked retarded. guy in the video made such a big deal out of him. but it just seemed like his AI just had him slowly waddle in place as he took damage.
most game play trailers show the enemy's being weak AF to show off how to play i dont think we want to see game play of someone getting destroyed every 2 seconds or hopping in and out of cover
mass effect 1 had 6 squad members, if you fcked up alot and didnt buy the dlc you could end up with only 3 squad members in mass effect 3, if you didnt buy the dlc and had everyone live you would have 6 squad members in mass effect 3
+chiffmonkey the problem with the trailers is the fact that they are not telling much about the characters but inquisition some characters have cinematic trailers
first game had 6 squadmates and its a good number tbh. They will probably add more with dlc but putting alot in the first game of a new series means we would have ridiculous number in the later games
ME! How the fuck they don't have a male Quarian? Quarians are favourite species , Bioware even acknowledges this. How are they not in this game, what the hell is going on?
Yes, I definitely remember getting hit with an unavoidable throw and then getting shot to death as my character slowly got up off the ground. I also remember hiding behind behind cover for solid minutes because I kept getting hit with tech abilities that would overheat my gun and grey out my abilities leaving me with no options. It wasn't very fun.
+Classical Symphony I'm not saying they shouldn't use their powers. I'm just saying it wasn't implemented the best in Mass Effect 1. When the best answer to fight a biotic is to hope you use your biotics first you kind of have a problem.
3:22 Cora is an Asari commando (and from the look of it probably a Matriarch) ? While Peebee is the little sister of Rocket Racoon ofc. Thank you Bioware, looks like a cry out from Aerie, Morrigan, Tali or even Jack. Can we customize the look of the sister ? If so I'll try my luck with her rather. Or the Krogan.
2:59 Fiend can't decide if it should attack the player or squadmate. AI issues seem to be real. 1. 1:22 - Walks into open fire. Doesn't even lose shields. 2. 2:20 - Enemy can see the player but isn't his weapon. 3. 2:54 - Destroyable cover. NICE! I also loved shockwave in ME2 4. 3:13 - Mines are OP :D 5. 1:20 - Enemies prefer to walk towards the player instead of using cover I like the new system, but it seems like the AI is too weak or underdeveloped to be a match for the ability-profile-system or fast movement. If the game is that easy, it is going to be a really boring experience.
It's the same number of squad mates as ME1 and ME3 without the From Ashes DLC. Only ME2 had 10 squad mates, 12 if you count DLC. And that game was primarily built around recruitment and loyalty missions. Having 6 fleshed out squad mates with loyalty missions on top of the vast explorable planets, hubs and reportedly side quests with Witcher 3-inspired levels of depth, I'd say it's a fair trade off.
What I like at Mass Effect is the great Story and exploring amazing areas as myself. I don't need these endless settings of overpowered abilities of throwing fire and energy and stuff. Focus on story and gameplay and don't waste time with unnecessary settings. For me it's enough to build a character that looks like me. I hope this game is as awesome as original Mass Effect!
Gustav Mix "Focus on story and *gameplay*" =/= "I don't need these endless settings of overpowered abilities of throwing fire and energy and stuff" I'm fairly certain you've never played a Mass Effect game, each game has introduced new gameplay features and abilities, yet you don't want that to happen for the next installation in the series? Logic is a thing, these new features are only expanded upon versions if old ones as well, so I don't understand why you can't use your brain and understand that this is totally normal within the confines of the series.
The mass effect games are my favs of the 360 and this is a great new start for the franchise. The game looks amazing! The depth at which you can play the combat, the new setting, new races, new guns, the ability to be a mix of biotics tech and solider is a great new step. Bioware, you are looking good so far with this game, keep up the good work.
This is great! I was worried about equipping only 3 abilities at a time, but now I think it is awesome because of profiles! I'm still a little worried about the squadmates... It's not like six is too few, but... Idk, most of them look a little flat, from their profiles. I hope I won't miss how colorful the interaction was with them (and with each other), see Jack and Miranda, Mordin, Tali...
Only Bioware would tout a feature like the favorites system as a good thing. When it's only designed to get around the limited interface of a controller. Lemme guess I'm gonna have to use it too on PC?
I hope you can romance other people on your crew except these squad mates. I just don't find any of them attractive maybe Peebee but that's it. What happened to all the good looking woman/aliens like Liara, Miranda, Jack, Ashley (even though she's a bitch), Tali'Zorah...(you can't see her face but she's hot), Samara (even though you would die if you had sex with her but still....worth it). This crew is meh especially Cora. Maybe I might change my mind knowing their personalities more but from what Bioware has shown me, I'm not into them.
Whats fascinating about this game is that its Mass Effect. It has 3 games that came before Andromeda and probably had one of the most compelling stories for a RPG game and it was awesome. Andromeda is how you keep the series alive. Its a blank slate in a whole new galaxy where nothing from the previous game holds any of the strings. Probably the most exciting thing about it is that the only thing you know is your on a mission to find a new home planet. There are some hints about the story but I still have no idea what to expect. Super excited.
Jack To be fair, the most we've seen of the new squad mates is in gameplay when they're killing shit, and like a minute worth of actual conversation between Ryder and the squad. For all we know, the squad could be great!
The only reason you remember the old squad at all was because you had 3 games with them. You've seen still photos and combat footage of these guys, wait for the game.
Game play is looking pretty good though I still don't like the fact that Ryder has access to every single class and can change them on the fly. I guess I'm old fashioned and still prefer that class selection actually means something.
I think it is important to send big companies like this a message that the consumers wont buy before the work is completed. That is why lately we have so many half ass games. Developers only respond to LOSING money. But if they make money even before a games is released it makes them continue the same trend.
It's funny how much they're boasting about their AI in some of the articles online but when you watch these gameplay videos the AI is just so lost. I really hope this is just due to them probably playing on easy difficulty or something of the sort.
Damn, I've been looking forward to ME:A for ages, but this video has really got me hyped. Loving the gameplay - the firing from cover is cool, but it's the powers that really got me going. Up to 12 different powers at any one time? Hell yes. Glad it's not limited to three as was assumed from the previous video.
People not understanding that test build allows the dev to turn of specific enemies AI to showcase the actual important point of the video. E.g. skills.
dude this is not test build AI. the last video I can see that maybe but when he is saying shit like "looks like the fiend has taken an interest in me" come the fuck on hahaha
@acetraker1988 The commentator says "I'll stand my ground by using shock wave" @2:55. What is the point of "standing his ground" if the Fiend just runs away because of poor ai? What would feel more natural to me is if the Fiend follows up his attack @2:50 by chasing you down so he would actual be somewhat more of a threat. Since you're talking about skills, the dash skill that is shown in the video would have to have some invisibility cloak mechanic to somewhat justify the Fiend's behavior. But it's not, it just looks like an ordinary dash ability, and the Fiend should still see you so naturally he should come after you. The fact that he's not chasing after you while you're just 2 meters away from him and in his sight just feels wrong to me.
I never cared for biotics I always enjoyed the solider class especially how you got heavy weapons in ME2. This game seems like you pretty much need to use all the classes which I'm honestly not real big on. I also hope we can use the mini nuke again I miss that thing.
How have you managed to misconstrue complete class and ability freedom into being forced to use everything? The whole point of the last two videos is that you can do exactly what you want, with the profiles system allowing you to gain bonuses in your selection(s).
Bioware if you don't showcase all the romancible characters soon and include at least one chick with long hair and giant tits, you're gonna lose the basement troll playerbase... how could you!!! We'd miss them so much!!! We'd miss them calling us SJW retards in the comment section!!! We just can't lose them!!!
This game is getting more interesting each time a new video is released. I'm starting to get really hyped. Switching between profiles seems like a very cool way of defeating enemies and was missing in the previous games. Way to go!
Jessica, that's what I'm hoping. I'd be satisfied with a romance able NPC, they don't need to be squad mates. None of the companions catch my eye besides Jaal.
I'm in my late 30's and its not easy to please my tastes. At this age generaly everything is shit and i like to complain a lot . Probably less than 5% games i like , movies i dont even mention becouse its even worse . Yet , im hyped for ME: Andromeda like no game ever before, it makes me feel younger and happier thinking about this game . This is not only becouse i'm huge Sci-Fi fan and ME fan, but also becouse there is not enough games with deep story and interesting characters these days . I preordered this game long ago, going to play it, finish it probably multiple times and enjoy it for many years forward . What i dont understand is ......WHY THE FUCK SOMEONE IN BIOWARE DECIDED THAT CHANGING " CLASSES " IN MIDDLE OF COMBAT IS GOOD IDEA ??? Objectively Imagine any fantasy game where in middle of combat you becoming sorcerer and casting fireballs but moment ago you were filthy warrior who can't even read ! Is this RPG ? How i'm supost to be invested in character i create if i can't even relate to who my character is ? yes pathfinder but what is my backstory , am i simpleton with golden heart who just want to help people using weapons language ? , or maybe i'm scientist person with biotic talents and people's person ? or scumbag pirate with engineering talents who just want to get rich in Andromeda ? How i'm supost to roleplay in this... roleplaying action game ? I appreciate they not spoiling too much of the story and focusing on gameplay, but everything so far looks like " kids playground the game - pew pew pew i killed you Kyleeee "
voyager i very much dislike that aswell! doesnt feel rpg to me. and imagination of a whole role doesnt feel the same because we know for sure, that it would never effect gameplay.
I just hope they keep combat similar to ME3, in the sense I liked taking down hordes of low level enemies mixed in with higher tiered enemies. If this game is going to be realistic , we should be getting our asses kicked by some races, and utterly walking over lesser developed species in combat.
A lesser developed species with REALISM doesn't mean that you can just walk over them. For all you know they can be extremely aggressive and have crazy weapons but cant even build a space ship
Erision highly unlikely, if they are capable of developing weapons stronger then an advanced space faring coalition of races, im pretty sure they can build a space ship, the point is it will be good to have a mix of enemies who unlike the ones presented in this video, are more realistic in terms of damage and realism
ME3 can be compelted on Insanity with lv1 weapons. Without using skills. The game is piss easy and will always be piss easy. They design the game to be godlike in the pve content. The MP is where the challenge is.
ryang58 there are many species in fiction that manage to overpower higher races and have no form of intersteller travel. warhammer for instance is a great example. star wars as well with the geonosians zygeerians and trandoshans
So far I'm leaning toward laim as he's black with hipster like hair, you know he's gonna be cracking jokes and probably the asari, her names PEEbee ROFL and did you see in her character screen she seemed kinda short. She's pretty much a SMURF. their my picks.
Absolutely not...Being a racist towards whitey is hip or "progressive" in BioWare crowds. Firing or giving him a slap on the hand would be wayyycist. Living in Canada, working at a company founded by white guys full of white people must be terribly tough on him.
IamLucky87 the first and third games only had 6 squadmates minus dlc and special squadmates for specific missions the outlire being mass effect 2 with having 10 companions in total minus dlc or squadmates for spacific missions.
Expect DLC, but don't think for one second that 6 squad mates is less than optimal. With exception for ME2, 6 squad mates is par for the course. Why? Each squad mates represents 1 of the 6 traditional classes; while classes have been "pretty much" all but abandoned, I'm certain these new ones will still embody the concept's spirit.
I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite Gameplay Series on the interwebs.

i approve.
We'll bang okay?

"oh yeah this about characters, lets spend the whole video talkng about skills!"
"GAMEPLAY"
Looks at videos title: MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA | Characters | Official Gameplay Series - Part 2
OFFICIAL GAMEPLAY SERIES.
Looks at moronic comment. Sighs.
At no point in the title does it say skills.
The title is clickbait.
This video....combat profiles and then how you can use your squad...fit pretty well.
cora looks like she asks to speak to the manager
i loathe that hairstyle
Holy fuck I died XD
This game is actually turning me off, they look sjw...
it's a woman, a black dude and some aliens. This is just bioware trying to be diverse. I'm not here for anti-sjw garbage dude. Cora got a bad haircut and that's about the only thing wrong with this squad.
don't worry I'm pretty sure Bioware and EA got you covered with some nice cosmetic day one DLCs
There was a Bioware dev. meeting with fans two years before, in that meeting one SJW girl stood up and asked the developers to make the female characters literally ugly and 'thick'. Seems like Bioware took it to the heart.
BULLSHIT!
I think she meant, "Add more Krogans" :^)
Kinda feel that being able to change your class whenever you want kinda ruins some replay ability. Part of the fun of starting a new character was choosing a different class
(Edit) We get it "just focus on the class you want to play as and dont touch the others" so many negative and toxic people trying to correct a point of a view.
But im sure the new game will still be fun so im happy that its coming out
"Cora, you stay on the ship ... forever."
she may come out on the halloween mission...
lmao Mr Donzo )
"Peebee...go and make company to Cora". I will be hitting the field with that Krogan and the purple alien. For romance purposes, Doctor T'Perro (I hope this is an option), or simply pass on that.
Same. So far Dr Lexi is my go-to, atm.
Fizzy My thoughts exactly before seeing this comment.
I miss Liara and Tali..and garus
tali is bae :3
We had 3 games to get to know them. Don't play the nostalgia card without getting a chance to learn the new characters. Don't be that guy. Give them a chance
It'd help if any of the characters were attractive.
i just miss tali but i understand im deff playing this when it comes out
2 of those 3 died of old age
wow, that fiend sure can lumber. So menacing.
yeah... damn.
i wanna see it roar and charge me
***** put it on insanity difficulty
***** probably is, there's people who think combat is a chore and only want to deal with the story
Let's hope there's more than those 6 squad mates..
OneTwoMark no those are all we have which is fine by me fewer squadmates mean more character development
"fewer squadmates mean more character development"
I hope so:)
There was only 6 in ME1 and ME3
OneTwoMark ME1 and 3 had 6 why change it.
They even cut a Salarian squadmate somewhere in the development. It's 6 though for sure. Unfortunately Quarians and their fans got the middle finger. So unfair and stupid.
Haven't seen one new or good argument for months. People on here are like broken records:
One: Sarah doesn't look pretty.
Doobie Scoo EXACTLY. im like "wtf"? wats wrong with these ppl? this game actually looks rlly good to me. im totally rdy for it
lunarm4 You can't please everyone I suppose.
People are passionate about games, and playing three games just to receive a shitty ending is a blow to the balls. #NeverForgetti.
37 views, damn, I feel accomplished.
43 views! :D
calm yourself child....
BLOWN THE FUCK OUT!
EA is gonna fuck this game up
+Mosh 2006 actually, and also I am glad you can comprehend sarcasm.
The combat is so fluid. I love it! Seriously hyped for this game.
Mass Effect 2 is my favorite in the series :)
My favourite game of all time. :)
Yes Mass Effect 2 was really good, but i just loved Mass Effect 3 more lol, well except for that ending tho. LOL :) :)
@GlobalGaming101: Gears of War ripoff??? LOL GTFO with that shit. Pfft Gamer's today :(
Mass effect 1 is best
"TIM sends Shepard to the Human colony of Horizon, saying he believes there’s a collector attack in progress. At the start of the mission, Shepard comes to Mordin and asks if he has a way to avoid being paralyzed by the collectors. The camera cuts to an isolation box showing a collector bug, and Mordin says, “Yes!”
What?
This story manages to somehow be both vague and contradictory."
THIS IS THE ENTIRE GAME.
Mass effect 1- 6 squad mates and 1 dies
Mass effect 2- 10 squad mates (then more with dlc)
Mass effect 3- 6 squad mates ( then one more with dlc.
Mass effect andromeda- 6 squad mates (dlc?)
What I'm trying to say is people complaining about 6 squad mates not being enough is ridiculous because we know they will add more in dlc and we'll probably pick up more within the game itself.
My thoughts exactly. Hopefully someone who thinks otherwise will try and answer so we can have a reasonably respectful discussion about the game.
People like that are getting a bit hard to come by these days...
Absolutely , Mass Effect 2 was the only one with more then 6 squad mates without any dlcs .
Masci0 Thing is, Mass Effect 2 was the best game of the series.
So basically, "We don't have classes, but we do".
It seems to be using the Kingdom's of Amalur Reckoning system.
thank you!! I've been trying to remember which EA game the leveling system reminded me of but for the life of me i couldn't think of the title lol
Omfg!! Each trailer I see, i'm more and more excited for the release! It's looking brilliant!!!
The idiots in the comment sections are ruining it as well. I agree with you and hope the best for you.
Witherleader
What ar epeople generally complaining about?
And thanks mate, you 2.
+Dom Morrison Generally? Everything they can. How the characters look, how dumb the AI look, the lack of gameplay, the marketing, some of the developers, combat, how they aren't making it so only hardcore ME fans can understand it etc. It's really annoying lol
Witherleader
It's all bullshit mate, the game looks great imo. It's not even released yet, and as you said people are getting arsey already lol.
+Dom Morrison Yeah I know. I'll try find an example, wish me luck... I found one but just scroll down. Some are too long to copy and paste.
"If you show more a few times you'll start getting annoyed though: so you finished killing the RPG element from Mass Effect
you suck pseudo-bioware." - Cregennan
This looks great, if you're a real gamer, you will play the game and then judge it, I'm sick and tired of these cancerous comments. Looking forward to dive into Andromeda :)
agreed. I unlike many others don't judge the game before I play it. just seems stupid to me tbh. you can never tell if a game can be good or bad without experiencing it for yourself, personally I'm WAY ready for Andromeda, the people that judge it before they play they are missing out
Pietro DZKC plz stop with that real gamer bullshit already
Emperor Valkorion that's what I'm thinking, too :)
I wasnt expecting one so soon, but still glad it happened anyway :)
Right?! I was anticipating something mid next week at best. Especially since in about 30 minutes some of the previews from editors is being released. I know IGN is releasing a preview article at 9am EST (6am PST) today.
General Maul Get ready for information overload my friend
They have less than a month before Origin Access members are playing the game, so marketing is gonna up the pace here on out.
The hype is real.
nope
Yes
YES.
Nope. AI suck. This game is going to fail hard.
I hope you get disappointed for being hyped.
The majority of comments I've read are actually people criticizing other people than people actually criticizing the game. You are a bunch of damned hypocrites. Also there is nothing wrong with criticizing a game, grow a quad.
lol i see like 100 people defending the game to maybe 10 actually criticizing the video.
I was thinking this on the last video it's fanbgirls for you.
Or go outside, get some sun xD
Nothing but your stupid projection. How about come up with a valid point for once in your life. Not everyone thinks exactly as you do. You probably belong to the whiny bitch brigade that thinks Bayonetta is sexist because it has an attractive lead. People like looking at beauty not head shaved hags.
AHotFridge when romances and building in game relationships is such a staple of the franchise it's not surprising that people are mad that none of the characters are visually appealing
HardHatsRule It's a fucking hair cut, get over your self. I don't know when it was decided girls needed long hair to be considered beauty's
HardHatsRule wow you seem so hurt over a video game character 😂😂😂
Watch the video: Oh yea this looks nice
Read the comments: Everyone else hates it?
Ah don't worry. These are all lonely virgin neckbeards crying. They don't have much, so they have to cry about minor things. And if you look at the like/dislike ratio it's pretty clear that nearly all people like it.
Yeah, because apparently these people are not satisfied when they get what they asked for: Gameplay.
Bioware gives us an entire series on the gameplay.
People judge Pre-alpha (presumed) gameplay. NOT. FINAL.
What's next, their railing on them for having scanning system from ME2 & 3? Oh wait... (It's going to happen, just watch)
Gah, I wanted some legit opinions, not this whining behavior.
The Profile-System reminds me of Kingdoms of Amalur, a great game that sadly few know.
Now that you mention it, I see it and I'm a little more optimistic. That game had a few too many flaws, but the class system was actually amazing
Truth, it's a great game!
What a great squad: discounted Wrex, ugly shemale , Sera V2 and twilek. And I thought that "bioware" can't fall any lower in companions departament after DAI.
LMAO,true as fuck.
So you want infinite mass effect games with the same squad? Stop living in the past you whiny brat.
+Lethal Truth You ask for arguments when the only argument you have so far against the game is "characters looks ugy herp derp"? lol Fuck off.
+Lethal Truth
1: We have yet to see the dialogue wheel in full action, so I wouldn't be too antsy about calling it just another shooter game yet.
Volus Accountant best comment I have seen on any mass effect video. thank you for making my day
I wish Tali were available to Femshep.
I think it's mostly that we haven't really been introduced to any of the characters yet.
Volus Accountant those HIPS though...
Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I thought jack was hot but a lot of ppl didn't (UA-cam comment wise )
i hope this will have more personality than da inquisition..
DA Inquisition had tons of personality, have you seen the party banter alone?
GZLAnnihilation yes.i played the game and i've heard the banter but it felt lifeless and dull.i enjoyed da origins more.and i liked mass effect 2 better than 3.must be my age talking idk..
GZLAnnihilation it just felts like the last games cater more towards the stereotypical teenager.
Mrc Nitu Most of the characters in Dragon Age are in their mid to late 30s and act like it so. Not sure how you considered any of that to be "stereotypical teenager"
He said the game catered to teenagers, not that the characters in the game were teenagers
I like everyone talking about how they want more characters. Quality > Quantity. Especially when it comes to individual story / character progression for the followers. Not to mention the voice acting. I loveee character building and progression. Lets also hope for some amazing banter between them.
Are you suggesting that Bioware is unable to do more than 6 teammates without making them bad? Because ME2 and ME3 disagree.
No, but I would rather have one strongly built character than several random followers that aren't well written and voice acted.
ME1 = Tali, Wrex, Garus, Liera, 2 Puke Humans. 1st game in series
ME:A "waaaaaaa 6 characters waaaaaaa". 1st game in series.
*****
What is this logic?
So, ME3 shit ending,
ME:A3 shit ending...
What?
Space junk They are saying how there was 6 characters in the first game, and now there's 6 again in this one, and people are whining about it. I mean obviously DLC for another character may come later anyway.
I like how seamless the combat flows. It's not a half assed combat system at all. Man, I'm liking this.
Wait... only 6 crew member? Anyone remember Mass Effect 2? Man, those were the days. Still hyped even though the crew members don't appeal to me at all. hopefully they'll grow on me.
MonsterTeegs You mean their still photos don't appeal to you? Haven't even seen anything about these characters lol.
don't play ignorant, we've seen enough of the characters to know they are at face value the weakest cast in any Bioware game to date. which is why he said he hopes the characters grow on him.
aside from ME2 we always had 6 so its not a big deal to me as long as they are well developed and have a good story , pls dont give me another vega :D
This looks fucking beautiful
While I'm digging the gameplay and everything,I thought this video would be about the characters. You know like the title said?
Edit: I see you changed it now. So will the next video actually be about the characters then?
i think it's actually nice that bioware helps u keep ur character virginity to give u better immersion
This was unexpected, but appreciated
It would take A LOT for this game to disappoint me. I've been playing 31 years, but this is easily one of the most anticipated games of my life. Also, I think it would be premature to judge it from launch. Surely like the other ME games, there will be a plethora of tasty DLC to devour over the next year or so. My life is currently revolving around this game.
**Same day or so...
My Favorite Game series is back with a Vengeance!
I'M BEYOND HAPPY! ;)
I find it funny and sad how a lot of people are bashing this game even though most of the complaints are really stupid. Here are the biggest complaints I see:
1) The replay value of this game isn't going to be that good since you can change your class whenever you want.
2) This game looks too much like DA:I (Dragon Age: Inquisition)
3) The faces suck for all the human characters
4) ME 2 had way more characters. 6 is too little.
5) Why can't they just make this a better ME 2?
Here are my responses to these complaints (WARNING: very long and has little bit of ranting but I had to get this off my chest):
1) If you only replayed the ME games for trying new classes then good for you.
So to summarize my answer to you:
DA:I had an FPS (Frames per second not First person shooter (You have no idea how many people have asked to remind others about that)) issue during cut-scenes and character interactions.
Fuck white people, well this white person says fuck you and your game.
not being locked into a playstyle is a big move away from previous games. Would definitely negatively affect replayability
Definitely. Having a specific role for the whole game is a huge part of.. well, ROLE playing games. I can see why they want to give more freedom but that's not what RPGs are supposed to be
yes, but they don't want you to replay the whole game again with different class. They want you to play the same character and buy mode $10-15 DLC's with more side quests... and if you get bored then you can change armour and'/or hair style for only $10 more ;)
if you prefer the old systems then put some restrictions on yourself and only lvl up the skills that fits the class you chose to play as, and use the profile as well, a pure adept in game use bioitcs to move about instead of the jetpack how awesome is that
Don't buy the game then. That goes for everyone else nitpicking before it's even released.
If that's the case why is Skyrim considered an RPG?
And does an enemy like that belong in the game? It seemed out of place to me.
TheZaeron you do realize most devepers put controls on behavior to show stuff off or its set to a intentionally low difficulty.
Tbh that haircut is amazing, just doesn't seem to fit her face too well. Yeah it's like a young hip hairstyle on a grandma.
Well, we have a few SJWs in our BioWare department.
Haven't you seen Battlefield 1.
worst case just wait for mods, and just stay away from her, what if she ends up being the most lovable character ever? youll end up loving her looks as well
Dude, Wrex and Mordin were both ugly af, but people (incl. me) loved them.
You don't have to switch profiles if you don't want to.
Skyhunter ... Then only use one style they don't force u too use all of them
Not everyone believes as you do. I prefer Obsidians Tyranny over Pillars of Eternity specifically because it has no classes. I decide what I want to use and learn and shift my playstyle according to what I feel is effective.
3:22 I can't be the only one bothered that Cora's passive is Asari Commando, right?
No but im thinking theres a story reason for that or maybe its just somthing that needs to be fixed before launch
Cora has explicitly trained with and Asari Commando units for years.
thanatos5150 just because she trained with them doesn't mean she has become an asari as well, for the description to be worded as such.
EBTcraft15 "I hope there's a story reason,"
"This is the most likely story reason, given what we know"
"Ha Ha, fuck you"
I... what?
thanatos5150 i'm sorry, i must have worded my response poorly. What i meant is that the "asari commando" title denotes the race and military position, as such Cora being a human could not be an :"asari":commando.
Can't wait to waste countless hours of my life playing this...
+Tasty Milk i bet you dont even played a mass effect game
Same here! I have in mind play this until Mass Effect Andromeda 2 is released xD
@Tasty Milk delight me the otaku god how to beat Action RPG like mass effect in 10 hours. have you ever play any mass effect at all? this troll practice could work in games like call of duty. but sorry this is mass effect.
Tasty Milk Do you even read? I said A mass effect game so i meant me1-me3.
Gavin Blain 22h ? damn thats fast, i have like 25h and im on the 3rd planet
The more videos you release, the more excited I become.
Difficulty set to easy, easy parts of the game, haven't shown anything yet to be honest, only an overview of how everything works not a hardcore alien world where you will have to sweat it if you wanna survive, i bet there will be something like that.
because they can't code a decent AI
upchuck42 he probably put on the easiest difficulty
Now I can be everything, like Rambo, you lose the identity of your player and the rest of your squad becomes unimportant, with no real significant purpose other than being infantry soldiers. Previous games showed us it was important which squadmates you choosed, based on two things, your own class and the mission/enemies. Now in this game it doesn't matter because you could basically cover every situation and tackle any enemy just by clicking another class in combat.
play only one class……..boom problem solved
Knowing modern gaming, more will come with DLCs.
There could be more, maybe they're not trying to spoil it
I just hope they don't introduce another one with a day 1 DLC like the Prothean
Don't worry, i bet they are saving the other squad members as DLC.... you'll just have to pay for them.
the first ME game had only 6 squad mates
Liara LOOKS MILES BETTER than any asari we've seen in ME:A to date. Liara was a geek but her face was a fucking 10/10
You forget Miranda, She is the best
Only 6 companions?! Oh, hell no....
Soku six squad companion's is good and mass effect1 and 3 also have only 6 companions
Mass Effect 1 only had 6, Mass Effect 3 had 7.
Dude, think for a second, ME3 and ME1 had 6 squad mates.
and the rest DLC or season pass
Mass Effect 2 had 9
What difficulty setting did you use? The A.I is kinda slow and deals almost no damage at all :/
InsaneSpectre sure every game shows trailers like this, the character is over levelled and using gear and weapons way above where they are in the story arc. And the AI is not dynamic, they moved to higher ground there to gain an advantage and split up when the player got close. In the old mass effects they usually just ran straight at you and that's it.
That said I would like the default 'normal' setting to be a challenge regardless.
Looks like easy mode for console players)
ECLiPSE
you're about to trigger alot of people
InsaneSpectre that fiend enemy looked retarded. guy in the video made such a big deal out of him. but it just seemed like his AI just had him slowly waddle in place as he took damage.
most game play trailers show the enemy's being weak AF to show off how to play
i dont think we want to see game play of someone getting destroyed every 2 seconds or hopping in and out of cover
So only six squadmates and the only human female is almost as edgy as Jack ? Looks like I'll play a bachelor in Andromeda...
+Valentin Maire She looks edgy? Thought she just had a bit of spunk to her, not edge.
Valentin Maire Here we gooooo!!~
mass effect 1 had 6 squad members, if you fcked up alot and didnt buy the dlc you could end up with only 3 squad members in mass effect 3, if you didnt buy the dlc and had everyone live you would have 6 squad members in mass effect 3
Maria Luke naw. it's try hard edge
Maia- San Yet Mass Effect 2 had a dozen squad mates and was by far the best of the three games
Oooh baby, I'm not letting Miley Cyrus in my squad at all, ever
I'm definitely hitting that ass!
Wrong title, there is nothing about characters here.
there is you get abilities for 2 characters as well as he character/squad selection screen
People buy bioware games for the characters, as in their writing. Not their abilities.
abmarable I get what your saying and agree but I am fine not knowing about the characters since I don't want to be spoiled too much
+chiffmonkey the problem with the trailers is the fact that they are not telling much about the characters but inquisition some characters have cinematic trailers
Um, the video explained character classes and their advantages, and how to use and analyze and upgrade supporting squadmates.
Is there anyone else other than me who's disappointed by the "SIX squadmates" thing? ...
first game had 6 squadmates and its a good number tbh. They will probably add more with dlc but putting alot in the first game of a new series means we would have ridiculous number in the later games
Same number we had in the original game and in the core ME3 game. ME2 was the only title with more than six non-DLC squadmates.
Dranvay no it's easier to manage than say me2
ME! How the fuck they don't have a male Quarian? Quarians are favourite species , Bioware even acknowledges this. How are they not in this game, what the hell is going on?
Six sounds fine. They had more in ME2 but many of them did overlap quite a bit and there dialogue was rather limited compared to the other games.
I just came here to read all the shit talking. I wasn't disappointed
How was that a shit talk from him ? Hes right tho
I don't get it, what's with all the hate for this game?
Wait, people hate this game?
they dont hate the game they hate the company
EA or Bioware?
Remember when in mass effect 1 enemies used their powers on u
Yes, I definitely remember getting hit with an unavoidable throw and then getting shot to death as my character slowly got up off the ground. I also remember hiding behind behind cover for solid minutes because I kept getting hit with tech abilities that would overheat my gun and grey out my abilities leaving me with no options. It wasn't very fun.
Midnight Archer well they could improve the A.I
+Classical Symphony I'm not saying they shouldn't use their powers. I'm just saying it wasn't implemented the best in Mass Effect 1. When the best answer to fight a biotic is to hope you use your biotics first you kind of have a problem.
"Enemies everywhere!"
I'LL WILL DESTROY YOU!
Only 6 companions?! And neither of them made an impresion so far. In DAI companions (exept seeker) was dull. I am worried...
Akanae The other 2 will prob be Dlc lol
you do know ME:1 had only 6 companions right?
Akanae Only six companions...just like ME1
and mass effect 3 minus the day on DLC
Maia- San Why are so many people bitching about everything?
3:22 Cora is an Asari commando (and from the look of it probably a Matriarch) ? While Peebee is the little sister of Rocket Racoon ofc. Thank you Bioware, looks like a cry out from Aerie, Morrigan, Tali or even Jack. Can we customize the look of the sister ? If so I'll try my luck with her rather. Or the Krogan.
Europeanaddict Cora is the human female with the side shaven haircut, she trained 3 years with asari commandos.
From what I've heard you'll be able to customize the appearance brother Ryder, sister Ryder, and Papa Ryder.
Ahhh 4 favorites. The thought of being forced to choose between only 3 skills had be worried some.
whoever designing those human faces, fire him.
her
that's more probable lmao, a sjw chick
2:59 Fiend can't decide if it should attack the player or squadmate. AI issues seem to be real.
1. 1:22 - Walks into open fire. Doesn't even lose shields.
2. 2:20 - Enemy can see the player but isn't his weapon.
3. 2:54 - Destroyable cover. NICE! I also loved shockwave in ME2
4. 3:13 - Mines are OP :D
5. 1:20 - Enemies prefer to walk towards the player instead of using cover
I like the new system, but it seems like the AI is too weak or underdeveloped to be a match for the ability-profile-system or fast movement. If the game is that easy, it is going to be a really boring experience.
Cant wait to play this on my Playstation 2™ also please dont subscribe to my crappy channel there is nothing to see there
can't wait to play this on my pc so I can hit anything
Bitch please! I am going to run it on SNES!!
Lol I'm sorry to hear that. Meanwhile I'll be enjoying a solid framerate of 60Hz on my good ol' Atari 2600
pssshhh...I'll be playing this shit on my intellivision. Way better graphics than your puny PS2
buffjoey78 pls i can play blindfold on a gameboy color
That fiend's AI was questionable, just kinda wandering around and not going for the player.
AI code was like
path to player, nothing else.
PS: this is a test build so he might have disabled attacks.
I'm betting when they do these videos, they either set up custom scenarios, or play on the easiest difficulty to avoid things going wrong
video of a test build which release is away from like... one month?
2:52 the fiend just walks away after Pathfinder jumps into the air
How do you know the fiend is not supposed to be a stupid creature?
Not worried about gameplay anymore. This looks GREAT
please please tell me that's not all the squadmates 😟
It's the same number of squad mates as ME1 and ME3 without the From Ashes DLC. Only ME2 had 10 squad mates, 12 if you count DLC. And that game was primarily built around recruitment and loyalty missions. Having 6 fleshed out squad mates with loyalty missions on top of the vast explorable planets, hubs and reportedly side quests with Witcher 3-inspired levels of depth, I'd say it's a fair trade off.
Žan Ujčič oh yeah that reminds me .....i bet a Dlc squadmate is in the works😂
Oh no...not Inquisition again...
Remember when there was a time where Charisma was in RPGs?
I remember.
idk what did you expect from mediocre console action/rpg series
The mass effect games are my favs of the 360 and this is a great new start for the franchise. The game looks amazing! The depth at which you can play the combat, the new setting, new races, new guns, the ability to be a mix of biotics tech and solider is a great new step. Bioware, you are looking good so far with this game, keep up the good work.
i hope that at least one character has that whip melee function, like those cerberus guys from me3!
Still won't be as good as Garrus, best squad mate ever.
to true. to true. thought Drack could be a good one too.
I'm looking forward to Vetra. Garrus, while the ultimate bro, was a little squishy. From what little we know, Vetra's a no-nonsense tank.
Tali is the best squad mate ever.
NOTIFICATION SQUAD BOIIISSS
HELL YEAH
Why do I keep seeing this everywhere, what does it mean?
Luke Foord I'm assuming it's because they watch videos earlier than most people because of UA-cam notifications on their phones
so basically virgins fishing for attention by posting some shitty, cringry meme?
first post
This is great! I was worried about equipping only 3 abilities at a time, but now I think it is awesome because of profiles!
I'm still a little worried about the squadmates... It's not like six is too few, but... Idk, most of them look a little flat, from their profiles. I hope I won't miss how colorful the interaction was with them (and with each other), see Jack and Miranda, Mordin, Tali...
Only Bioware would tout a feature like the favorites system as a good thing. When it's only designed to get around the limited interface of a controller. Lemme guess I'm gonna have to use it too on PC?
MrMeddyman you might have 10 favorite though. that would be good wouldn't in?
+MrMeddyman Probalby yes it would be unfair if you could on PC use 12 skills without the cooldown of switching
Yeah it would have cooldowns, but that fact that you have to open a new UI instead of just macroing it sucks.
Rysix19 ...and that's why ME1 on PC continues to kick ass: 1-9 power spam.
+Evan Robertson Yeah but you have there 30-60 sec cooldown
After waiting since E3 2015 we only have one more month until the release.
I've been waiting since 2012...
+simpa975 Me too bro.. me too
simpa975 I started the Mass Effect Trilogy in 2014, so I was late.
@Eccentric Eric, Better late than never :)
There you go!!! I knew I was missing something haha thanks!! But yeah another got alien on the list
It's alright lol happens to the best of us
No problem too lol
Jeramey Yates well there's the asari doctor
whats with you virgins only careing about the sex? why arent you worried the story or gameplay like normal people
Whats fascinating about this game is that its Mass Effect.
Well... They look like the most uninteresting/forgettable squad mates.
Jack To be fair, the most we've seen of the new squad mates is in gameplay when they're killing shit, and like a minute worth of actual conversation between Ryder and the squad. For all we know, the squad could be great!
Could you tel if Garrus was going to be an interesting character just by looking at pre-release footage of M1 ? I dont think so .
Jack ?????? What does an unforgettable character LOOK like, my guy
Vincent Bédard Garrus was like the most simple mass effect character ever lmfao
The only reason you remember the old squad at all was because you had 3 games with them. You've seen still photos and combat footage of these guys, wait for the game.
Game play is looking pretty good though I still don't like the fact that Ryder has access to every single class and can change them on the fly. I guess I'm old fashioned and still prefer that class selection actually means something.
I kinda find Jaal charming haha...
Cynthia Nguyen this is the first positive comment I've come across. I agree,Jaal will be a charmer, especially with that African accent (:
Even better than the previous video. Starting to look great now. :D
I like how the entire comments section is filled with talk about SJW and literally next to nothing about what was actually shown in the video.
they also hate the AI...which is obvioulsy dumbed down for showcasing purposes xD
Don't preorder the game you will regret it. There I have done my part to try to help everyone out. You can thank me later.
didn't work rofl and no I won't regret it lol it will encourage my pc build to get upgraded
taylo226 is money that tight for you? u can preorder a game and only spend 5 bucks doing it...
I think it is important to send big companies like this a message that the consumers wont buy before the work is completed. That is why lately we have so many half ass games. Developers only respond to LOSING money. But if they make money even before a games is released it makes them continue the same trend.
as I said it will not work it's your loss
It will be the entire gaming communities loss.
Horrible AI of this "Fiend" showcased in promotional footage @2:50 , are they even trying?
only video i've seen on the game so far looks like shit ai xD
People not understanding that test build allows the dev to turn of specific enemies AI to showcase the actual important point of the video. E.g. skills.
i would pref if they showed real game play then
dude this is not test build AI. the last video I can see that maybe but when he is saying shit like "looks like the fiend has taken an interest in me" come the fuck on hahaha
@acetraker1988
The commentator says "I'll stand my ground by using shock wave" @2:55.
LordRyan100 how do you not like biotics!?
LordRyan100 that's what's good in the game. you can mix everything or only focus on one type of abilities
How have you managed to misconstrue complete class and ability freedom into being forced to use everything? The whole point of the last two videos is that you can do exactly what you want, with the profiles system allowing you to gain bonuses in your selection(s).
Damn the most boring class is a soldier
LordRyan100 they've said that you can go through the whole game with one class if you want, this just gives you options
Loppysaurus rex so salty
Loppysaurus rex what and the dude going on every post calling people retarded for giving the game a chance isn't? Lol what
The sad white boy playerbase is 85% of their audience... or more
hahaha spot on
I'm white and I agree it's stupid that people are annoyed at the females, don't lump me in with them you racist
This game is getting more interesting each time a new video is released. I'm starting to get really hyped. Switching between profiles seems like a very cool way of defeating enemies and was missing in the previous games. Way to go!
Looks like my only option is to romance the Turian...again
Maybe we get some more good NPC bangables. If not.. Turian is always a good choice :>
hahahaha exactly my thought
Jessica Schrecklich I hope there's an option to make Cora wear her helmet during the romance, that would be acceptable.
Jessica, that's what I'm hoping. I'd be satisfied with a romance able NPC, they don't need to be squad mates. None of the companions catch my eye besides Jaal.
morgatron4639 Dude, that's brutal xD
Objectively
Imagine any fantasy game where in middle of combat you becoming sorcerer and casting fireballs but moment ago you were filthy warrior who can't even read !
Voyager role play how you want maybe? Have an imagination and it can do you wonders.
voyager i very much dislike that aswell! doesnt feel rpg to me. and imagination of a whole role doesnt feel the same because we know for sure, that it would never effect gameplay.
Voyager Intelligence is idiocy inverted, you didn't catch on.
+Schwanzboxa true I didn't think about it like that.
Erision yes... they can't even build a spaceship!
I wish ME3 had this much love and dedication to its conception.
So far I'm leaning toward laim as he's black with hipster like hair, you know he's gonna be cracking jokes and probably the asari, her names PEEbee ROFL and did you see in her character screen she seemed kinda short. She's pretty much a SMURF. their my picks.
This episode, "Characters", where we will talk about combat.
i miss garus :(
Garrus was like a brother! I miss him and his constant calibrations...
This gameplay video looks WAY better than the previous one, TBH.
Has Manveer Heir been fired from this project yet? Can someone clarify?
Absolutely not...Being a racist towards whitey is hip or "progressive" in BioWare crowds. Firing or giving him a slap on the hand would be wayyycist. Living in Canada, working at a company founded by white guys full of white people must be terribly tough on him.
Hope there are more squad mates than just 6 compared to the other games that would be disappointing.
It wouldn't, actually. Because it's the same number as in the original game and ME3.
IamLucky87 the first and third games only had 6 squadmates minus dlc and special squadmates for specific missions the outlire being mass effect 2 with having 10 companions in total minus dlc or squadmates for spacific missions.
6 in the base game, probably more with DLC.
Cool Cool cant wait for the whole game then!
Bioware needs to take some notes from CD Projekt Red
Joseph Brewer Everyone needs to take notes from those guys.
+ImABearDontCare witcher 3 ruined RPGs for me. The bar is set to high
ImABearDontCare lmao definitely not Fromsoft or Platinum games
This looks great! Can't wait for more gameplay footage!
