These old girls bring back some great memories. They had a couple of pulls back in the early 80's at the Martin 131 dragway in Michigan. Some of the more memorable tractors were Grog, Corn and soybean special,City Slicker, Makin' Bacon, Banter brothers brown and orange, Green monster and my favorite Loud Mouth Lime. It is amazing how far these rigs have come over the years. Great video, thanks for the memories!
Hope you and the family had a great thanksgiving Finally getting some winter weather up here in Michigan. Take care and stay warm Bill !!! See ya Sunday if not before
Nice event. I really enjoyed watching this. Love those old gassers with the V8's. They maybe should've geared the sled up a little when they got into the bigger HP class. Keep them all from running out of track.
I don't know if you knew of him, but Lee Edwards passed away a few weeks ago. He built quite a few modified truck and tractor motors. I know his family, and I knew of some of the pullers that ran his "big block" gassers. He was building up over 600ci blocks with chargers on them as soon as they were legal.
I Nike ott, needs to put that in region 2 legally, Charlie hooked 4 carbed 440 dodges in gn mod a few times and got a 5th at bg 10 yrs or so ago.id think most legends are tired of ott making them look dumb
Thanks for posting! I remember seeing a couple of those modifieds come farther east in the late 80s. Nice to see they haven't been retired yet.
Great Pull. I have seen most of the nostalgia class, nice to see more added in depending on the location. Thanks for the Videos, Bill.
