Bartosz tells the story of the lady in the lake to Martha while swimming Magnus pulls at her feet joking.... The lady in the lake is Katarina The necklace is pulled off her mom during the struggle and that's the same one Jonas finds in the sand and gives it to Martha..... It's the same necklace Hannah leaves for Kats mom at the abortion house ..... and her mom freaked out completely because she called her mom she thought it was the spirit of the child that she had aborted come back to her that's why she tells Kat in the end I should have got rid of you too...
Wow thats cool, we didn't catch that lady of the lake being Katarina. Seems like one of those things that you'd catch on the second watch. We probably should have realized that Katerinas mom freaked out because she thought it was the spirit of the child she aborted. We thought she just worked for Mrs. Obendorf. We were a bit naive on that one. - Corey
@@JuiceLabs I honestly only caught the lady in the lake stuff because theories were that it was going to be Hannah and I really wanted it to be Hannah 😂 you guys are doing great catching things .......like somebody else said I can't wait till the last few episodes when those light bulbs start popping off 😉
they are the same actually, they just started to show the fate of this Jonas first so yea our perspective of Jonas is that hes the true one but in reality hes the same. But still it made me sad too during my first impression.
When I watched this I thought they did a good job picking young Peter. He looks a lot like older Peter. I have since found out that younger and older Peter are father and son in real life.
she made sure to kill Katharina because she was traumatized for having an abortion as a child and now this random woman calls her mom and she thinks she knows her... she's not a very stable person.
Elizabeth Ashley Everhart yes, she had an abortion, Katharina was another child she had, and she even says she should have aborted Katharina aswell while she was beating her as a teen...
@Joe Greene Out of curiosity, are you talking about the broadcast playing in the background when middle age Claudia is walking into the station to talk to alt Claudia? Because I missed that the first time through.
It's crazy to think that the necklace Katharina drops on that beach when she dies in 1986 is the same one Jonas finds with Martha on the day they kissed in 2019, at that same location under the sand.
On season 2 when Martha and Jonas were at the lake they were talking about a ghost lady in the lake. That Ghost is Katharina. They also found the necklace Katharina dropped in this scene too
So in season 2 the day when the kids are swimming at the lake and the pendant gets found, they’re swimming in a lake with their dead mother at the bottom!?
The acting of Peter was so great in this scene! As the guy got the knife, you could literally see in his face and eyes that he realized, his life has come to an end..
Jonas’ death in this episode gave me a taste of an existential dread. As someone pointed out here, it’s OUR Jonas which we followed through the story from the very beginning. The browneyed middle aged Jonas is definitely the other one and this blue eyed Jonas that was killed by Martha, has been struggling all the way up to that point, not to mention he never met his friendsagain (last time seeing Bartosz while fighting him at the school, “never come back!”), never met mom (which took off by the moment he landed in preapocalyptic 2020), never learned any truth, dying clueless and alone. That was just heartbreaking.
Whoa....in the future when the kids are swimming at that same spot it's where Jonas found the necklace and Magnus said he saw a woman in the lake...HIS MOTHER's BODY!
Fun fact: if Elizabeth stabbed that dude in the f***ing BACK, ffs, the timeline would've changed, possibly. Unless Peter died a little later from food poisoning.
Nice one as always! And the the audio is the right way around again :) 16:00 Caught the visual symbolism there? Dead Jonas lying in the middle of the family tree which now forms his angel wings.
"Wildly out of character"? The woman somehow believes that Catharina is a child she aborted as a teen who crept out of Hell to torment her. Please consider that before you judge her state of mind and her actions :P
You know what's funny and sad at the same time? After Helene got her first abortion she was definitely moved in some way by the lady that appeared there to have an abortion, and didn't in the end (Hannah). That's where she got Katharina's name from, that's probably the reason she didn't abort Katharina in the first place, and then she proceeds to tell Katharina she wasn't worthy of the name of the woman (Hannah presenting herself as Katharina). Even when she isn't trying to Hannah still manages to fuck up with Katharina's existence by being both the cause of her birth and her misery.
She did have an abortion then, or else Katharina would already be in her 30s in the 80s timeline, and she's just a teenager. When Helena is confronted by adult Katharina at the lake she thinks it's her aborted baby coming back to torment her. The abortion must have messed up the mother and that's why she's so abusive later in life.
3:03: You will when you see episode 7 and listen to Tannhaus carefully... 7:27: Yes, this is how cute little Elisabetth lost her father and her innocence. 11:42: Well, Helene is a religious person and abortion is a sin. So after Katharina said "Mom, stop it", she thought that was a reincarnation of the child she aborted in 1954 sent by the devil. That's why she reacts as she does. And Katharina's body will show up one day. In 2019, Bartosz told the story of the dead woman that drowned in the lake.
this was one of my favorite episodes from this season! I felt so bad for Katharina and Elizabeth! I agree with the fact that we don’t really feel the characters deaths cause we’ll just see them in the next scene lol
Peice if advice guys.. Pay special attention to episode 7 Because they will miss and not understand a lot , especially if they missed that obvious chain link of who died at the lake and its pretty obvious from this episode .
I have finished watching season 3...love your channel btw.....When you are done watching the finale take a look at the You tube channel of Pete Peppers. He has done excellent aftermath videos on Dark....Explained very well...
Avatar the last Airbender reaction vids are popping off right now due to it being on Netflix, if you guys haven't watched it, I recommend you do. They get tons of views!
Been seeing them sprinkle in ATLA references in their various reviews... So it'd probably be more of a rewatch for some (all?) of them. But I'm game if they are. I really enjoy this group's comedic take and ability to bounce off each other.
Can someone please explain to me why everybody, including the characters on the show themselves, constantly talk about a "loop" or "circle"? There is no loop happening. Time never stops, restarts or circles around. It just flows from past to future and between the 1880s and 2050s occasionally a bunch of time travelers pop up, have children or kill each other. But after the latest time we see on the show (2053 I think?) time still goes on. It doesn't reset, nobody is reborn, there is no freaking "loop". Nobody has lived several lifes, nobody dies more than once (unless you count parallel alternate timelines but those also just flow from past to future in a straight line) and nothing happens repeatedly. This is not Groundhog Day on a larger scale, what is this so called "endless cycle" people are going on about?
It's a loop by definition: if your old self come back to make you do something, you will have to come back later to warn your young self to do it (if you want to exist)... then he'll have to come back to warn himself, etc. etc. etc.
@@marmichaud But he doesn't go back again and again. He only goes back once and time just moves on in a straight line. It only appears like a loop to you if you switch your perspective between the different versions of a character. In your example you follow the young version until he is old and travels back and at that point you switch focus to the young version again and follow him till he gets old and travels back etc. But the old version doesn't just disappear after talking to his younger self, he just lives on. He doesn't repeat his conversation with his younger self over and over again like they seem to claim in the show. He only does this once and that's it.
God do I hate young Jonas' acting/writing. It's like they are paying him per sentence, probably heard more from the deaf girl than him. He's not the only character in the serious that has had trauma
Jonas cant die because he is a part of the loop. There is always 1 jonas who has to live. In ep 6 or 7 he tries to kill himself with a loadet gun but it didnt work because the time loop didnt alow it

If adault Katharina would only have remebered the day her mother came home with blood on her hands...
Dark: How many Marthas do you want?
Jonas: Yes
The death of this Jonas made me sad because he's our original Jonas, the one we started with in Season one episode one.
Well, actually he is both, this one and the stranger. They kinda, split itself.
they are the same actually, they just started to show the fate of this Jonas first so yea our perspective of Jonas is that hes the true one but in reality hes the same. But still it made me sad too during my first impression.
They're all the same Jonas but split into different timelines
Actually the one we followed from season 1 was split in 2. So not really 😅
He is Schrödinger's Jonas.
"under different circumstances this would be heaven on earth for Jonas". Loooooooooooooooooooooooool
When I watched this I thought they did a good job picking young Peter. He looks a lot like older Peter. I have since found out that younger and older Peter are father and son in real life.
And it helps that the younger Peter is quite hot too lol
Sanghmitra Singh Yeah, he’s very handsome 😍
That makes sense I mean the casting is so good that I just assume all actors who play the same character are related
"My God, three Marthas. My God, four Marthas."
"Under different circumstances, this would be heaven on earth for Jonas" LMFAOOOOOOOOO
My god six Marthas
she made sure to kill Katharina because she was traumatized for having an abortion as a child and now this random woman calls her mom and she thinks she knows her... she's not a very stable person.
traumatized? why? she didn't have the abortion. Right? she didn't go through with it and hence had her.
@@Ashley_e - she did. She went inside, Hannah didn't.
Elizabeth Ashley Everhart yes, she had an abortion, Katharina was another child she had, and she even says she should have aborted Katharina aswell while she was beating her as a teen...
Elizabeth Ashley Everhart She did have an abortion before she had Katharina and she thought that older Katharina was the child that she aborted.

The one we see the family pic in?
Where character talks about the accident?
"Just like Adam and Eve...I never read the book." Legit laughed out loud.
“I thought Katherina was gonna die there for a second.” ...
Actually she died there for eternity.
S02E06 Francesca was lying on the water because it said a woman ghost haunted the lake. Martha discovered the St Christoph locket on the beach.
I wonder how the creators pitched this show to Netflix. Whoever had to sit down with them definitely had to take some advil for a couple of days.
Actually, Netflix came to the creators for making an german orginal series.
@@pitnf8036 yet Dark was not a commissioned work, it is a product of a creative freedom so they HAD to pitch it somehow... :D

me4374 And there was a story about a dead woman of the lake.
If you didn't notice, in the last shot, the family tree formed two wings on either side of them. As Jonas laid dead. Pretty cool.
Young Peter is the real son of older Peter
you guys are bloody hilarious, you've literally ruined all other reaction channels for me, your banter has me in stitches sometimes - subbed!
"just like adam and eve.... I didn't read the book" lmao
The Elizabeth scenes in the episode were so uncomfortable to watch.
When you notice Peter died in Bernadette's trailer ! 😮
that was so sad 😔
Dang, that's an interesting point - Clay
No the whole thing is SO HEAVY. I cant cope with how tragic this whole knot is
The acting of Peter was so great in this scene! As the guy got the knife, you could literally see in his face and eyes that he realized, his life has come to an end..
@Mr. Penguin Yeah they showed her body in a picture along with Wöller's body so both siblings died
