Thanks for sharing, I enjoy what you are doing! Is there a way to keep a unit of measure in a cell without causing issues with using the value of the cell in mathatical functional? I’ve always just added another column but if there is another way I would be interested in knowing.
Thanks so much, John! Really glad you're liking the channel! Yes, you can display a unit of measurement and still do a calculation on it. To do this, right-click the cell-->Format Cells, then pick Custom for the Category. Next, in the textbox on the top, type in 0 (a zero) followed by the unit in quotes. For example, 0 "Pounds" or 0 "Minutes". Then when you enter data in the cells, you just have to enter a number, and the unit (Pounds, Minutes, etc.) will automatically fill in after it (in the same cell) and you can do calculations on it just as if the unit weren't there. Give it a try and/or let me know if you want a short video. Happy to do one! :)
What else do you want to learn in Excel? Let me know below in the comments!
