My favorite of this concert. Especially love Malage de lugendo's singing and the guitar by Toms Ntale from 24:35 onwards. He nailed it. Generally, the performance was top notch. Legends.
Am from Sierra Leone, a country with a strong base and great passion lovers for TP OK jazz! Malage was the youngest member when Luambo passed!! It was heartbreaking for the entire country. Ok Jazz is still a colossus and hall of fame to Africa. Rest In Peace Franco, Simaro, Madilu, Ndombe Opetum, Jerry Jelogana, Pepe Kalay, Dr. Nico Kasandra, Tabu Rosero. John Pole etc etc
Yes, Malage was born in 1961 and was only aged 28 was the legend, Franco passed on.

rhumba music is medicine of the heart especially when you are troubled
kudos the giants of rhumba
Mandjeku Lengo Maurice "Dizzy", l'un des plus fins doigtés de notre temps, un guitariste-arrangeur hors-pair, meneur de groupe, un virtuose qui nous fait l'immense plaisir de ressusciter le mythique O.K. Jazz cher à l'oncle Yorgho Franco Luambo Lokanga.
UNE GRANDE VEDETTE DE LA MUSIQUE AFRICAINE ET SINGULIÈREMENT CONGOLAISE : BRAVO À LUI.
16:22 to 16:40 it's a killer Africa, Africa, great people great music HUTUCHOKOZI MTU.

I really like Odemba OK Jazz: Nana Akumu, Baniel Bambo, Mangawana, De Lugendo, Dizzy and the others. And to think that Nana Akumu was based in Nairobi in the 1970s and she is still going strong

Et depuis que Tabuley (le papa de Yassoupha) nous a quittés lui aussi que sont devenues Mbilia Bell ? Et Faya Tess ?
Mabolia bel vit à kinshasa. Quant à Faya Tess, elle est à Paris.
Superb dressing, not like today where the so called artists go to perform naked
Hahaa
Copying the west thinking it makes them more acceptable and in fact it African loosing its culture in motion..
Cornelius , this is typical Congolese dress for women.Reminds of New Life Club in Uganda of the late 60s.
For the love of the music!!!!
Love you guys!!!
Come to WOMALD in Adelaide and let's groove!!!
www.womadelaide.com.au/ go to Artists and apply for 2021 and see you then!!!

Damn, they took away one guitar from TP OK Jazz's three-guitar setup.
Ayant Droit (the first song; composer is Wuta Mayi) doesn't sound so "rich" anymore. Dizzy mixed Solo and Mi-Solo into one guitar part.
And Thierry's Franco-like shuffles are nowhere to be found.
TP OK JAZZ used to have four guitar set up namely bass, rhythm, mi-solo and solo(lead)
@@ANDAREJO which one of those 3 guitars Franco used to play since bass should set apart .. I realise now how much that kind of group were so efficient !!!amazing ! Stuff
@@Kassiusday Mi-solo
@@ANDAREJO yes mi solo correct and he was playing his solo mostly by using chords picking with his fingers I think !!! Great musician !! I hope we will still produce such great musician in DRC !!! Coz our richness is not just mountain of gold , coltan , diamonds , is also our very popular nice music ... which was fancied by most of African countries
@@Kassiusday Thank you very much I do appreciate your feedbacks. Today is a very DARK day for all lovers of Congolese music and especially the fans of TP OK Jazz following the death of one of the legendary members of this great band Joseph Kiambukuta Londa aka JOSKY Le commandante. May his soul rest in eternal peace
