Beautiful location, but would have been so much better if they could have flown in combat aircraft like Gripen, F16, heck, even a recent generation light attack equiped BAE Hawk would be better than nothing
Ahhh yeah, except there are no such aircraft in this country! A great pity.
I got run down in a paddock by a RNZAF Aermacchi once.
I could look right into the cockpit and the pilots eyes.
Before the pilot directed the Aermacchi towards a Macrocarpa and missed the tree tops by 50 feet.
I bet that part of the flight plan was never reported to anyone.
Would have taken out a couple of houses easily if the wing had hit that tree.
When fortunately this was farm land

World worst airshow more like take it you have never beeb to a military air show in the UK or Europe.
Have been to military airshows in the UK, and none o them have the spectacular location that Warbirds Over Wanaka has...
