I love that these two come from a similar place, two guys who were not having much success as regular wrestlers so each decided to try doing something different than others and became insanely popular
Wrestling across the board is drawing the lowest ratings it’s ever had.. This is one of the reasons why. “Insanely popular” is very much an overstatement. Nobody outside the very small wrestling bubble knows who these people are. Therefore, they’re far from popular.

One of you is talking about 100,000 UA-cam views as a lot, the other is talking about over 1M as a lot. Neither of these numbers are substantial measuring sticks as to popularity.

These two could fight to a sixty minute time limit draw without wrestling much and I would still be very entertained.
This one match, was more entertaining than a whole year of WWE TV and I didn't stop grinning like an idiot. These two need to have an Ironmanhausen match
Two of the cleverest wrestlers in the business today. They play off each other so well. I’m a fan of both.
I've seen my fair share of Death, 'hardcore', barb wire, exploding death and just plain and simple super bloody matches. But nothing will ever come close to the massacre I just witness in this match. I guarantee you that both these men were not gonna give up and go home, which is why those two guys interfered at the end. Must of been a last minute gorilla/locker room decision to just put an end to the madness themselves, for fear that Orange Cassidy or Danhausen should perish during this match.

He's signed with ROH. But his contract does expire at the end of this year, so hopefully we see him on Dark or Dynamite.

I think Danhausen had the best logical response to fighting Cassidy's style I have seen so far. I wonder how a long feud with those two would play out logically with a good booker behind it. The run in was a good spot too to end a face vs face match, did not see it coming and didn't feel cheap.
This could easily be a story in AEW that Team Taz could insert themselves in.
@@ctfashow so, the more i have reflected on my nerdy comment i was thinking who i would like to book it. I gotta really say i think it would be more interesting and probably better booked in ROH with delirious booking. I think if you had this match go down in ROH Dave Honor would be perfect to have rough shot over these two with people he picks "to rid ROH of these clowns" type of thing. I know it is easy to pick on AEW but, the booking is what lost me as a viewer and MLW along with ROH has done a lot to fill that void of booking that makes me stick around.
@@brodyjames4126 man, I haven't watched ROH in so long that I couldn't tell you anything going on at all. I think PCO was champion last time I saw it. I only heard of Danhausen because of the WhatCulture video about wrestlers keeping kayfabe.
@@ctfashow I do not blame you or a lot of fans for that. But I feel like his booking has been a good level of consistent and glad Danhausen signed there. I think he is a good place to grow where he wont get lost in a sea of a roster like AEW or WWE. You have to really seek out ROH more than a lot of promotions for how locked down their content is.
@@brodyjames4126 I think I'll give ROH a shot again. As of this week, it'll be Elevation on Monday, NXT/Dark on Tuesday, Dynamite on Wednesday, and possibly IMPACT on Thursday. I haven't watched much IMPACT at all, but I'm thinking of starting it and why not add ROH as well? I'm sure they're both better than RAW and SmackDown, which I literally never watch.
This is so fun to watch. They don't themselves seriously, still have the athleticism to put on a good match and entertain the crowd.
I don't understand how guys like Danhausen and Jervis Cottenbelly aren't on national television. Wrestling fans adore them. When the casual fans come to the shows and see how much fun the regulars are having, they are going to come more often, if not for the matches themselves, then the fun of being a fan. This is what wrestling is all about at the end of the day. Keep fans coming back. Thanks for booking it, thanks for uploading it. Keep up the good work.

Methinks Danhausen is over enough with Jim that Danhausen would be able to explain away the goofy to Jim... Jim has a affinity for someone who lives his bit, and can keep it looking real. The few times I've seen him tells me Jim would wish Danhausen was a bit smoother and less obvious with the 'assists' (being a good worker). The comedy part of Danhausen makes complete sense, and even paired with OC, Jim would applaud how Danhausen is clearly expecting OC to do the silly stuff and is still baffled by OC's choice of distraction methods by using meager "offensive" maneuvers. Jim would hate that he agreed to wrestle OC, but I think he'd accept it as a "green" mistake with just a few ounces of guilt for kinda liking how they handled it, hell, Jim would prolly give credit to Danhausen for coming up with the idea of a run on so this didnt have to go on too long... Actually I'm kinda glad they found a way to end it as quickly as it did...

Oh my God, the dueling kicks!! Never mind the Steamboat/Flair chop exchanges I've never seen OC have an exchange of kicks like that it was amazing either of them were still standing and even able to go to the Mall!!!

First, I had to get my friends to see that Orange Cassidy could really go (they hated his gimmick). They have since admitted they were wrong...and absolutely love his gimmick now. They are attempting to treat Danhausen the same now. I will show them this and rejoice! I suspect many more monies for Danhausen because of this video.
And now we have Danhausen & Orange Cassidy in AEW. Imagine the reactions from the wrestling world. If Dan & OC had a match like this in AEW. There would be total meltdown. It would be match of the year but no one would know WTH...yes, heck. They were doing.

I'm an old-school wrestling fan but I like these guys. Gimmick aside, Cassidy is a great athlete who can go if he has to. There's nothing wrong with wrestlers actually being funny because we certainly get enough terrible comedy in wrestling from the WWE writers. If these guys can make a living not killing themselves, good for them.
