I would definitely recommend getting them resoled with a thin rubber sole. I'm a shoemaker and have done this to many pairs of tabis including my own. The problem with tabi compared to other shoes is that if the original sole is warn down (which a leather sole can do pretty quickly) it is hard to get make the new sole look good if you have to replace it. Where as a thin rubber sole (in a matching rubber (I prefer a sand coloured mirror finish rubber as it belnds well with the original leather) will prevent the original sole to wear down, plus it will make them less slippery.
Mine are wearing pretty amazingly! I think they only look better when worn more. I'm planning on filming a video on how I style the tabi's so stay tuned for that 😉
Beautiflu boots and thank you for all the details you gave about them. I've been seeing them on some pics on Instagram and I love them. I'm glad to know more now. Thanks for your channel. I love the way you see gender and fashion ;)
Hi, how do you take care of your tabi boots. Should I care about damaging the leather at the sole of the shoe or should I just get over that fear? Also do you use a leather protective spray on your boots or not?
Get a rubber sole put on. The leather sole is not that durable, not as bad as other brands but still. I'm a shoemaker and have done this to several pairs. Including the tabis i own myself.
how comfortable is the tabi part of the boot ? i imagine it would be kinda funky to have that feeling in-between your toes but maybe i'm just imagining it LOL
The tactical utility of the tabi's split toes combined with the high heels ability to ruin your feet. I really wish that our societies we all would start trying to unfuck our footwear culture of shoes with raised heels. Most of us aren't riding horses anymore so we don't even have that excuse. /rant
@@bloodywoes111 true that 😅 But that doesn't change the damage that elevated heels do. Though I for one walk like something between like a dancer or a ninja when I walk bare feet. And I reckon footwear that makes one walk like that could be one hell of a fashion statement 😎

Lucky for you that the shoe you wanted forever is also pretty practical! They look timeless as well.
honestly, one of the most sexiest shoes ever made.
Agreed!
just got a pair. thanks for the review! excited to style as see how they wear over time.
