- Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table with a 4-1 victory over Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium.
Darwin Núñez put the visitors ahead in the first half, before Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah extended Liverpool's lead after the break.
Ivan Toney pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining - the striker's fourth goal in five Premier League appearances - but Cody finish four minutes from time dashed any hopes of a late Bees comeback.

after 30 the team went to sleep.. the players and manager and coaching staff need to take a long look at themselves here because there is no excuse for BRENTFORD to put in a lazy lackadaisical effort... without Bryan we are struggling hard even though Neal is trying his best we have no plan B... most games this season we play for only a period of the 90 mins... why is this??? training so well just to play for half a game?? also our defenders (aside from Mee) are lacking athleticism and speed to deal with elite opposition attackers in the premier league.. I feel the squad needs to be looked at seriously this summer.. we cant seem to add to 1-0 advantages and we cant bloody defend against any team with remotely good attackers for a full game once a week! so much imbalance in starting 11 and we keep starting same ones every week.
Somewhat with you however mee is getting old and is lacking pace so will more than likely have his contact expire in the summer. And with our injuries our only centre back who is quick is ajer but his positional sense isn’t brilliant.
As an Irish Liverpool fan I was disappointed and shocked at how slow Collins was in that Salah situation because funnily enough I always thought he was quick for a centre back for Ireland.. fair enough I knew Ajer from his time at Celtic was lacking pace but Collins need to get his head out of his arse being outpaced by Salah who was at least 15 yards further away from the ball and missed kick for the gakpo was the cherry on top of a bad day for him as an Irish man he needs to be better Collins and Evan Ferguson were the only hope us Irish had at actually having quality players again
@@DonCrowseppe when Colins is on it he’s good but he’s got way to many mistakes in him as we’ve seen today and against the likes of Everton, palace, wolves, etc…

I watched this game, and I could see Liverpool winning big in the first 10 minutes. Brentford players are slow, and they have thick feet . They were impotent in attack, and they don't have speedy wingers to support Toney. Fire Frank today, or Brentford will be relegated
No one's firing frank. And Brentford is not getting relegated either so no cause for alarm. They are playing only tough opponents this period once they make it out it will be a brighter day
Brentfords schedule gets easier towards the end of the year. Also Frank is working hard to deal with a surplus of injuries on Brentford’s end. Pinnock, Hickey, and Henry in the back would make a large difference as well as Schade and Mbuemo in the front.
