It is much tougher to make an Olympic team than you think. In most cases, the best athlete in the history of your high school wasn’t even close. Realistically, you aren’t going to make it. So you need a broader life plan. I advise athletes to do three things. Prepare fully and never cut corners. Race bravely and give everything you have. Then you must accept the results, whatever they may be. There are no accidents and there are no excuses.
Often times we see Athletes from smaller Countries competing at the Olympics who are living their Olympic Dream but based on their performance they could not have possibly hit the standard to get in. Now I'm glad they have inclusiveness for all countries to be represented at the Olympic Games, but is there a sort of waiver for those Athletes to bypass the Olympic Trials Qualifying Standards?
What if this happens: someone finishes top 3 in the trial but never got the olympic standard but the 4th place in the trial has the standard. does the 4th place runner make the team?
If you're not top 3 in the olympic trials in the U.S.A, then can you go and try to make the trials in a different country and race for that country in the olympics if you want?
You have to be a citizen of the other country and there’s a waiting period of like one year or something like that before you can start representing your new country per world athletics rules. So you can’t simply switch between countries immediately after failing to make a national team you’ll have to wait till the next Olympics.
It should be I think I’ve seen it should be near the front of store although you might be able to buy single packs now(not sure about that) but I would buy in bulk for price
Because 1500 is a "rounder" number, like why there is a 5000 meter and not a 4000 meters. I could argue that the track is still 400 m so 4 full loops makes more sense than 3.75 loops, but OTOH the same case could be made for 10 full loops (4000 m) instead of 12.5 loops (5000 m).
Hi Nick, can I ask you a question? My question is that what if someone placed in the top 3 at the Olympic Trials but doesn't have the Olympic Standard, does he still go to Olympics or what happens?
Yes, they do go to the Olmypics. I've seen it all the time, people run slow times in the heats. like 1:55 800 and 11 second 100 , representing small countries.
not an expert or anything, but i’m positive there are the men’s and women’s 4x100m relay, 4x200m, 4x400m and there are some mixed relays where 2 men run and 2 women run on each team :)
Haha as they say poor people think about what they can buy with their money and rich people think about what they can invest with their money I don't think anybody should be left out when going for digital assets
Please how does this whole bitcoin thing work? I'm interested and ready to invest in but I'm gonna need assistance from any productive and reliable professional.

yeah im curious too
This has occurred and the 4th place runner would make the team.
How would fourth have the standard and get beaten by someone who didn’t

My coach wants me to run a decathlon, but I don’t feel like running a mile or eating s**t on the hurdles what do I do😭😭
You should do a video on how to make a world championship team
Well basically stay in mental and physical shape and beat the qualifying times and place top 3 in your respective discipline.

You have to be a citizen of the country that you represent. So for those that have dual citizenship, I think you could do that.

Why is there no mile
Most of the rest of the world doesn't use it, so the 1500 m is the closest you have
@kim ama lol the metric system is far superior
@kim ama it's more efficent .

In this category, is there an age requirement ?
distance running is more competitive then sprinting
