- Finally bought a Kayak!!!
If needed I can do a more in-depth review, plus new mods.
Honest rating: 4.5/5
For the price of this kayak, it's worth it!!!
Not sponsor by Brooklyn Kayak Co.
Mines on the way can’t wait 12ft only taking 2 weeks 50 percent off bkc
2 years later, hows it holding up? Just ordered one and some of the reviews are scaring me
To be honest
It’s still holding up great!!!
They have a newer model for the same price as this one.
For a kayak that’s under $2000
This is worth.
What kind of speed are you able to get? Still happy with it?
Never test
Maybe I’ll try it out this summer :)
@@billybassfishing4137 pretty easy to pedal and keep moving? Some you have to pedal fast and don't move much
Yes, does not take much to move the kayak.
I’ve done all day fishing trips on it and was still able to walk to next day haha
@@billybassfishing4137 that's great to hear. Looks like I'll be ordering one. $1570 now though!
Bummer…
I got mines for $1200
But all good
Good luck and have fun!!!
How is stability? As in standing and fishing.
1 out of 10
1 being bad and 10 being good…
I say a 8/10
I can sit on one side and still be fine.
@@billybassfishing4137 thanks
Did it come with scrubber hole plugs?
Yes it did :)
I took them out.
Mine's on pre-order been waiting about 2 weeks now keep us updated on its performance
@@jdread873 can do!!! I'll say this, worth every penny!!! There's a couple of upgrades that you should do but other than that, it's an awesome yak :)
I want to buy one so damn bad, but I can't swim. And I'm scared rough waters might capsize me.
PDF my friend.
No matter which kayak you buy, NEVER go cheap on a PDF.
Tbh I’m not the best swimmer myself… I only go out when it’s nice outside haha
Go to the YMCA, they can teach you how. :)
It seems like the pedal drive has a higher gear ratio
It’s not the best
But that’ll do donkey, that’ll do.
@@billybassfishing4137 its a bit infuriating considering these kayaks could easily use the chinese pedal drives
I would have to agree with you on that.
Just ordered one but mine gonna have trolling motor no peddles.
Nice!!!
If only you can send pictures haha
Good luck!!!
@@billybassfishing4137 thanks buddy 🤙
I have the same pk11 and they are great, I added a fish finder on the right side and a charger port on the inside of the left side for phone and go pro charger, next goal is a trolling motor where the pedal drive links into! I use a nocqua battery waterproof to power everything.
I need to get to that level haha
I will make mods and post it :)
Would have been good if you had aimed your camera down instead of up at the sky while you were peddling so we could get a sense how fast you were moving.
Still new to making videos.
Half the time I forget to hit record XD
Thanks for the tip tho :)
@@billybassfishing4137 I still loved your post! Have you used a gps to check your speed with average peddling force? I’m considering getting a 10.5 foot.
I have not but that’s something I should do.
I’m also curious on how fast it can go.
Nice VDO mi tub.
Thank you :)
how much do you weigh? and did you get water through the scupper holes? I was about 255 lbs and took in a lot of water. the lake was very choppy wasn't sure if that was the main problem or if my weight played a part. looks like you had some nice calm water. any time i turned on the trolling motor i also took in water from the cup holder.
I’m about 200 lbs (keep it on the down low haha)
Anyways, I have not taken on any water even on choppy “ish” water. I mean I never took it out when it’s crazy weather…. But no matter what kayak you buy, you’ll take on some water, all depends on weather haha
Hopefully this helps :)
Side note: remove your drain plugs. Yes you’ll get wet but you won’t sink :)
Would have been nice to actually get some thoughts on the actual kayak, can watch anyone cut it open.
I’ll eventually do a more thorough review.
I literally used it twice last year :)
