I’m coming from a Yukon Denali with all the bells and whistles. I actually find all the tech on it distracting. I’m probably one of the few that doesn’t care the screen is small. Driving my son’s Honda Sport is so much fun and made me love Honda.
In the grand scheme of things how important is it though? I'd consider things like ride, handling, noise levels, looks, mileage, seat comfort, cargo space, third row access, interior storage, safety ratings, reliability, stereo quality, etc to be far more important than screen size.
I think it is big enough. any bigger ,you clog up your dashboard. i think if we go on like this, in 5 years it will be so out of control. lets focus on driving, shall we?!
Honestly the small screen is not a deal breaker for me. But the pilot need to bring back trunk window being open without opening the truck was what I love about my 2015 pilot.
It looks so good, but they killed me with the 7- and 9-inch screens. The competition is offering 12- and 14-inch screens. Some people say that's no big deal, but I want the largest screen I can get.
Have a Model Y with a big screen and an old Sienna with a small one. Could care less about the size of either. Why do people want such a massive screen? What are you doing with it (other than navigation?)
The small screen not only sucks for functionality but also makes the entire dash look awkward and off putting. Honda has never disappointed me when it comes to disappointing me with the interior of literally any vehicle they release.
The screen is terrible considering the other offerings. Honda used to be the cheap and reliable alternative, but Hondas are no longer cheap. It doesn't make sense when you can get a fully loaded Palisade or Telluride for less.
The only thing that is keeping the Pilot from being the best mid size suv, is the lack of a bigger infotainment system and the lack of a digital rear view mirror.
Awesome. Would be awesome to get CRV black edition with panoramic sunroof again in Canada. Would be awesome all models get black ⚫️ edition and similar to other brands extra hp/torque, suspension upgrades, etc
Someone at Honda has his/her head screwed on straight. Retaining the V6 without any complicating hybrid add-ons to create warranty claims is a master stroke. Plus, it saves weight. Most manufacturers add idiotic bells and whistles without any consideration for improving the driving experience.
I would like to know more about the middle seat in the rear/second row. How wide it is? can three adults sit easily? is there a hump on the floor in the second row for the middle seat? If yes, would it make the person sitting in the middle seat uncomfortable during long journey? I am sure there a lot of people who would like to know this as well. If you could incorporate this into your reviews, it would be great
I would guess they bumped up to 2025 just because of trim level changes. The Odyssey bumped up early a couple years ago because Honda lost supplier for vacuum.
I will give Honda credit on this one. It looks really good. Now, please do something with the fake exhaust tips. Copy the Passport's setup, it would look so much better. Add the MDX's power tilt/telescopic steering wheel feature and maybe the Accord's bigger screen to the Black Edition trim only, I would be all over it.
@@GaryGraf the big miss IMO is failing to have a hybrid V6 that gives 30mpgs. I believe the all-new Passport (MY2026) should have the bigger screen that I expect the refreshed Pilot to get.
@sizzlacalunji I agree but infotainment is probably more important as to everyday comforts. You're getting about average mpg compared to the most of the competition. Where as with info, you're getting subpar when compared to the competition
I don't know about the Black edition, but you can change the instrument cluster to a show an analog tach and speedometer the Elite and Touring trims, with further customization of what info is displayed inside those gauges. I'm surprised they didn't include the larger nav display for 2025, but that probably requires some significant tooling changes for the dashboard. Maybe for 2026.
I just don’t understand Honda and their excessive use of plain black plastic. The interior reminds me of a compact car that’s aiming for cost savings on materials. It looks cheap and dated. Maybe for lower trims some would be ok but for the higher trims or even the highest trim level wood, carbon fiber, idk just color and better material should be used. The interior is just not up to par with other cars in its class or even in its price range.
