It does not get any better than this. I was born in '84 and I swear I should have been born in '64 instead. The 80's was the best decade of music in my opinion. Love seeing the interaction with the guys before and after the song too. Great video for a great song
there were definately some greats, but its worth pointing out alot of the great artists from 80s were making songs in some cases from early 60s or before, today you have artists cropping up that dont know crap except for a song that someone wrote for them. Not to insult todays music there are some good artists out there. But this is something people dont think of when they make the usual old music was better than now statement. Also, there was plenty, plenty of shitty music in the 80s too.
What amazes me is that I find everything perfect in this song. Lyrics, voice, instruments, the guitar play in the middle, the starting and of course that marvelous ending. EVERYTHING ! Thanks REO for having made this song !
Positively one of the greatest songs ever composed in the history of mankind. Every time I listen to this song or even hear it.. the song simply stop me in my tracks..

how i love this song.......
So glad REO hasnt asked you to take this down. I remember this special and its awesome to get this version of the song. Cherished it for well over a decade. There are great songs, and then there are special performances. This is both and I know they guard their stuff.
yo naci en los 80 pero nunca los vivi porque estva pequeño pero parece como si la hubiera vivido me gustan estas canciones
This song as a wonderful line in it that I use a lot when I think of God. The quote is, "Even as I wander, I'm keeping you in sight. You're a candle in a window on a cold dark winter's night."

I saw this on Mtv back around Christmas 1984. They showed REO in the studio putting "Wheels are Turning" album together, and REO played this song on the special. The show lasted about an hour. Man that was a long time ago. Back when Gary and Allen were still with the band.
