Hey I’m not sure if you recorded this to view at 360p or not, but that’s what I had to do to view this on my tv. Maybe it was just my tv but I have a 4k tv and had to bring it down to that to view otherwise it was all gargled and snowy. Lol when you dropped the ladder, that would make an excellent short or tik tok or something. It was perfect!
I'm not sure what would have caused that. I did rewatch the stream. Parts of it weren't great, but that's how it goes when you're live streaming on a cell phone with intermittent service. I hope the next one streams better for you!
Hey, Ray. Noticed at the 31:30 mark you mentioned ~$5 to replace an outlet (labor), but I'm seeing $50 on your Jobber CSV file. Can you confirm your current labor rate for replacing outlets and switches? Thank you, sir!
Without re-watching the video I would say that I might charge $50 to replace one outlet (although that's probably high) on a move out. However I've also done houses where they need all outlets replaced in which case I'd probably be at something closer to $5 per outlet since it's super fast to assembly line them. Better numbers might be $37 for one and $7 each for whole house. Please don't take my actual numbers too seriously. Like everything else in my documents, the jobber line items will always be a snapshot of a work in progress, not set in stone.
Are you specific on what jobs you do, or you do everything like install doors etc.
I try to learn every skill that I can imagine a property manager reasonably expecting a professional handyman businesses to be capable of. That basically means developing well rounded knowledge and skills for the basics of every trade and that's the difference between building a professional handyman businesses and just being a handyman. Doors are definitely something I do, and I taught myself on the job. None of the work is hard, after you just make yourself do it.
