I am a new One Direction fan, and I thank you for this. What was wrong with the people around these boys? Were they blind- the people in wardrobe- did they not see this child wasting away right before their eyes???? Were they that uncaring???? All of these boys looked miserable. Zayn clearly in pain trying to sing. He clearly was crying- Harry trying to hold it together, holding back tears, feeling helpless as the one he loves is suffering. Zayn had to leave- the band was killing him. He did these boys a favor- it was no good for any of them anymore. Their management just did not care enough. These were children, not machines. I am so proud of Harry for caring for Zayn, when it seemed no one else did. That love never goes away- it is still there and I am sure he is there for him with the trials he is going through now. Green and Gold forever 💚💛
I think they knew, clearly Harry had to know he was with him night and day. The media was trying to say he was on drugs if I remember right. Management forced them to say they didn't know. But they knew something was wrong, maybe not the cause but something. Looking at those times it made me cry knowing how bad they were treated.
First time I watched the Night Changes acoustic, I knew nothing about the band or Zarry, but I remember thinking that Zayn looked like just staying upright took all his energy & Harry seemed to be ready to catch him & seemed about to cry. The other little things you catch seem very plausible 💚💛

I ALSO remember that emotionless smirk but now that you pointed it out and explained the context it makes sense!!!So thanks for that! Now this might be me reaching too far...Z barely moved throughout the video but towards the end of Steal My Girl, he seems to be gesturing to H and then puts his hands on his chest during "she belongs to me"(again this might be a stretch). 2014 was a very trying time for them....I think this may hv been the time Z wrote "There You Are".....H's devotion to Z is really really evident here and I'm glad you brought it to the forefront!! Hitting high notes takes a lot of energy n it's draining when u have EDs. That's why he was shifting around. About him putting his hand on his chest, a person suffering from ED, when hits high notes or even talks in a louder than usual voice, they get pangs of pain in their stomach and chest. It could be that. Or it could also be coz that helps control ur breath, a technique which Zayn usually uses during singing. Again, I'm not sure, but I think this is why. I think you missed something at 2:06 which is that the distance between Z’s and Liam’s mic is the same between Liam’s and Nial’s.which tells me that the management probably placed all the mics at equal distances from each other but H moved his closer to Z’s…. It’s just a speculation though 🤪…. This is clear at 2:35

I would like to add that I think your analysis is spot on, but using the word dead when referring to Zayn is also triggering for those of us who have friends who have died young! Would you consider using phrases like - “Zayn was devoid of energy or he couldn’t seem to deliver an energetic or spirited performance” ... instead of referring to him as “dead”? We know Harry has a fear of death and Zayn may also ... I died at the age of 5 due to an anaphylactic reaction to grape juice, so I don’t fear death, but many of my friends feel like Harry and don’t like the use of the word dead in expressions! You’re a very sensitive person and I appreciate you caring about your subscriber’s feelings! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'll apply it in the future. Although the reason I used that phrase was because he did look so. And I know that it's a bit...not so good, but that is how Zayn himself said to describe it in interviews. And that's why I thought it was only appropriate for me to use it. If he himself used that, then that's exactly how it would've been. Usually when speaking about such feelings, I censor it, but this is that one video where I felt that was the only describing phrase. Hello! I’m not Sure If you heard about the rumor of Zayn passing out after San Siro.. do you maybe think it wasn’t a rumor?!! Especially since Harry and Zayn were Sitting so close to each other here.. I think Harry saw him pass out once and it freaked him out (rightly so!)
It surely wasn't a rumour, as there was a footage of it as well. Z had Louis and H beside him and the look of fear and concern on both their faces showed it wasn't staged and that he indeed had passed out.
Maybe, maybe not. I just pointed out what I observed and even then, this isn't exactly an analysis... It's more or less of a body language interpretation. But I appreciate you being straight forward with what you felt. Thanks for that.
