- Looking for a beautifully blooming, compact tree to go on the porch or patio? Rose trees are fantastic option! Noelle explains the best way to care for grafted rose trees, plus she shares some of our favorite varieties.
Rose trees are formed by grafting miniature roses onto single rose canes. Here at Petitti's, we grow varieties from the Sunblaze® series, as well as the gorgeous Petite Knock Out® rose. Remember, even though the varieties are hardy here in Northeast Ohio, it's still important to provide winter protection for the graft point of the plant.

Noelle, thank you for the in-depth information on protecting tree roses during cold temperatures. They would look great out on the patio or even in a landscaped area. After leaves have fallen off keep them in their pot and wrap in burlap. Their fertilization needs in May-Sept. are important as well. Good to hear weather in Ohio has been nice and sunny. Thanks again, & Happy Gardening!
We’ve been wanting one for years but too afraid they’ll die over winter so this is really helpful. Thank you!

Great video. May I ask how close to front porch foundation can I plant rose tree outdoor in zone 7b.
I was going to buy one at the oakwood store and they told me they need to be brought in for the winter. I didn't want to leave it in the pot so I didn't buy one.
