  • This is a stage from the 3rd day of the World Shoot - the Olympics in the handgun shooting discipline. In order to participate in the World Shoot you must be one of the top 4 shooters in your category and country. Then you have earned the right to compete against the best shooters in the world.
This stage is a field course with 160 points at stake - and lots of trouble areas to be mindful of. I engaged the array at the start and wanted to rock it but ended up hitting a penally target (-10 points plus time). So now im mad and just went for it (another dangerous attitude).
Those slats in the tunnel at the front can't move - 10 points off for each one that moves. Several of the positions you enter are hidden so you don't see the targets until you get there. None of the targets were far away - which is never good because they tend to be surrounded by penalty targets. You had to move quickly and shoot fast but only are allowed to be down 8 points out of 160 to be competitive.
Stages like this are the hallmark of the World Shoot. Go fast, shoot accurately but watch out ! There always is something to make you go 'hummmmm...'
