To my beautiful friend Nancy McRitchie, who volunteered to take the most critical Covid patients in the intensive care units until she died of it herself. She was in her rally 50’s. RIP my friend. May God reward you richly for your love.

Of the many brave souls who could be added to this list, I recommend Miki Endo (1986-2011). An employee of Minimisanriku's Crisis Management Department, Endo remained at her post, broadcasting disaster advice and warnings during the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami, eventually dying when the town was overwhelmed by the tsunami. She sacrificed her life to save so many. She was just 25 years old. Her body was discovered and identified on 23rd April 2011.

A three foot tall man relentlessly rescuing people after an earthquake? Not all heroes wear capes.

As a long time married guy, I have a piece of advice/motto.
    “Choose your mate carefully.”
The “Brazilian Wonder Woman” photo is a perfect visual representation of which I speak.

Still, there are so many great people who may never have their lives acknowledged, and yet we continue to frequently applaud those who use popularity alone to make a living whether they do good with it or not.

4:50 Sgt Deepak Pun's medal was obviously well deserved but there's also a bit of British Army humour in the choice of medal.
Having run out of ammunition he did beat at least one Taleban fighter to death with his machine gun tripod - and they gave him the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross.
Images of cloaks on muddy puddles to keep dainty feet dry...or Deepak Pun turning someone's head into jam.
    Military Medal, nah.
    Distinguished Service Cross, nah
Victoria Cross....nah, let's call it "gallantry"
Very brave man and a superb soldier

In 2010, I had to switch bedrooms for my cousin and his wife since they were up here from Atlanta. I woke up due to the smell of smoke and discovered the deck was on fire. I woke up my cousin and his wife who woke up their kids. I was causing so much noise I ended up waking my stepmom up. We all got outside while I was on the phone with 911 and so was my cousin's wife. My stepmom and cousin started to spray the deck down because it was one board away from the house! By the time the fire fighters came the fire had almost been put out. I ended with a bit of PTSD because of this event and on medicine for anxiety that the fire had caused. I don't like to think about this event because it proves that I still have mental scars. I talked to my mom and dad (who is my rock) about my PTSD.

You're proof that not all heroes wear capes. (Unless you do wear capes, which is a valid fashion choice.)

6:37 This was the Halifax explosion in Nova Scotia. This man had left the office and was headed to safety when he remembered the trains coming in. He went back. He died to save their lives.
There are several other people who did amazing things during and after this explosion. It’s astounding to learn about

The Mongolian huntress with her eagle may not make any sense to a lot of people. If you don’t understand (even if you do) I highly recommend watching the docu/film “the eagle huntress”. Possibly the most beautiful film I’ve ever seen.

The human body, despite being a fragile meat sack that can be in months of pain if you sleep wrong, is ALSO incredibly resilient against falls, collisions, and enduring heat and stress.
We are the paradox of the universe

@@christineb8148 I am SO TIRED of arguing with fascists, about US politics, and SO tired, of telling monkeys that God exists, mathematically, and it's none of your gods... That this response is a breath of fresh air.
      Humans can survive anything.
But I highly suggest you don't allow fascism and Christianity to fester, that's a bad idea. They're plagues on your species.
