Good tip. I used purple solid insulation sheets to fit 6 windows in the back. I have new windows in the front. Replacing all the windows would have cost me $29,000. So I opted for $15 worth of insulation for 3 months in the winter. IT WORKS. I store in plastic bed cover in the shed.

Can you still open the window with the foam window seal or is it meant to stick and not be opened? Or if you open it does it just not stick well anymore?

Yes, you can open the window. The foam is just filling in where there would otherwise be open cracks letting in cold air.
