Ohhh man... Was looking for a quick video to watch over lunch and this didn't disappoint. I feel like I've read all the articles this data came from, but literally nobody does a better job with putting stuff into videos succinctly. Incredible work as always. Pour one out for Robust RB
Really good video. One change you may want to consider is that you highlight a winning double anchor underdog team yet on that frame at 2:24 you are defining anchor RB as RB2 after Rd5 and didn't mention double anchor as one of the 3 winning strategies at the beginning of the video.
ya, i reference why the double anchor rb data is misleading...and why single anchor rb in the 2nd round was more dominant strategy than double anchor (the rd 2 rbs essentially skewed the data in 2021)
@@DepositKingdom I thought your Anchor RB point about that it could be either in Round 1 or 2 was a lightbulb moment for me. I always thought that if I didn't get a RB in round 1 I should go zero RB so the note that a round 2 RB works for this strategy was helpful!
for sure. that's the real light bulb moment--when you can see how to bend these structure in real time while drafting based on how the board is falling
10 Team,Full PPR.Current draft I'm doing. Qb,2rb,3wr,te,3flex. 1.06- JJ 2.05- Ceedee 3.06- Mark Andrews 4.05- Mike Evans 5.06- Tee Higgins 6.05- ETN 7.06- Jalen Hurts 8.05- Hollywood 9.06-Arob 29 man roster on Sleeper. Have to say, I'm nervous only having 1 rb through 9 rounds, but I love the air raid power I have. Plan on taking some late round shots at rb and hope someone pops off.
In the Underdog BBM I usually take 7 RB (2-7-7-2) when trying zero RB. See your $25k team only had 6 RB. Say you take 2 QB and 2 TE, in your opinion would taking 8 RB (2-8-6-2) be too many lottery tickets?
Should we try to predict RB injuries as well? Let's say I'm doing Hyperfragile and I only need 1 more RB. Is drafting Mattison a good idea if I think Cook will go down, or since injuries are random we shouldn't take them into account? Thanks!
ya, its impossible to predict which rbs will get injured, but we know a few of the top rbs will get injured each year and we cann place our bets accordingly. in hyperfragile builds, you def want your 4th rb to be a back that has bellcow upside, and true handcuffs like pollard and mattison are great ways to do that. i'll have pass catching backs in my zero rb builds, but a james white type is far less likely to help a hyperfragile team
Update. Used a couple of these strategies and did well in my league drafts. In one league, I went with a double anchor strategy because we have two WRs and a WR/TE spot so I went with two RBs and all WRs until late and still got Rashad Penny and Cordarrelle Patterson in later rounds. ESPN ranked my team third out of ten.
Last year was my first year playing Fantasy at all and I won literally every league but 1 that I entered. And that was drafting who I thought was the best & I didn’t watch NFL for 2 years atthat point 😂

I always hear people refer to Zero RB and Hero RB so getting these precise definitions is really valuable thanks @pete
np, not everyone agrees on exact definition but helpful to make one
Awesome video Pete. I’ve been playing best ball for years and appreciate the updated info.

thanks Tom, got another one dropping soon
Seeing a lot of sharp drafters going 2-5-8-3 early on. Definitely my favorite build with anchor RB, elite QB, loaded WR, and 3 late round tight ends
ya that's a comfy structure, especially before we have the schedule. as the offseason moves on im willing to push the extremes more

Excellent video. Great information and a bit of humor. Thanks!
thanks Steve
"No you're bad at it" that hurt deep. Amazing video Pete!
vikings super stack szn
Nah this year its all about the Raiders and Cowboys. Zeke/Jacobs round 4-5 as my RB1 or 2 love it.
Great video, Pete! Love these types of helpful videos!
ty ty, got more coming

you nailed it. def feels uncomfortable, but you'll round it out nicely from there
This was an amazing video, very well done King 👑
thx chance, good luck in bbm3
Great video. If you play just cash bestball games it would seem anchor rb would be a great strategy as it advanced to playoffs the most
yup, agreed
Great stuff, looking forward to this szn

This is brilliant video..more of this please
you got it

i think that's viable, particularly if you used your first ten picks on non rbs
As always, fantastic content Pete

Thanks, Peter! Could these also be good strategies for ESPN fantasy football?
depends on the settings. if it is standard scoring and only 2wrs & a flex i would do anchor or double anchor rb
@@DepositKingdom Cool, thanks!

@@gflowers great to hear
So draft Nick Chubb and Derrick Henry, got it!
great video Pete
💪💪💪
God damnit, Pete. Thank you for this.
coming back to this video, how does an RB/RB success rate and advance rates look? is that just called a double anchor RB?
yup that's the double anchor rb. so performed very well last year, but single anchor rb taken in the 2nd round outperformed it
@@DepositKingdom awesome good stuff, thanks for the reply Peter
Pete this was a really good video dude
love to hear it
Anchor RB strategy can be used in normal Yahoo 14 team drafts???
definitely
@pete how come you have DJ Moore ranked so high? Haven't heard a take on him
i don't do rankings so not sure where you're getting that from lol
I came here for silver bullet draft advice and all I got was sound data driven strategy information
refund coming
wait what about my modified hyper zero rb w/ an anchor TE
silver bullet territory

a massive shit ton, if you will

Kinda disappointed to not hear more about modified bi-modal rb…
